A Russian MP and military veteran has revealed a plan to paralyse the European continent in one hit by striking the Netherlands with a nuclear bomb.
The chilling threat was made on Russian state TV by Lt. Gen Andrey Gurulev - a hardline MP in Vladimir Putin's 'United Russia' party - in a discussion with leading propagandist Vladimir Solovyov.
He told Russian state TV a nuclear strike would flood the country by destroying its dams and dykes.
'Somewhere between 50 to 60 per cent of Europe's hydrocarbon supply is in Holland,' Gurulev declared. 'Imagine, in Holland, on the coast. The military calls this a fat target."

Cancer patients are among the growing number of sick people across the country being asked to fork over thousands of dollars for treatments they hadn't yet received.
Nancy Skinner, 68, and nearly a dozen other cancer patients in Las Cruces, New Mexico, who say they were either denied care or required to pay out of pocket up front. [SNIP] Ms. Skinner’s doctor ordered a biopsy in 2022 to assess a growth on her leg, but the Memorial Medical Center denied her insurance and told her she had to pay $2,000 or she would not get a potentially lifesaving procedure. She had to take out a bank loan.

A white, male Iraq war veteran is suing a top US bank, saying he was pushed aside in favor of less-qualified candidates in an aggressive diversity-hiring push.
Chris Smith says Ally Financial ignored his 20 years' experience in security and intelligence work and gave the job he wanted to an ex-Walmart employee because she was a woman.
He got a junior role in the North Carolina office, but was then sidelined by a boss who railed against 'white supremacy,' was treated unfairly, and ended up quitting within weeks, he says.

In September last year, a remote Brazilian tribe received high-speed internet for the first time.
The Marubo people live in one of the most isolated spots on the planet and although they have contact with the outside world, the tribe has preserved a traditional way of life for centuries. [SNIP] Asked if the change has been a positive one, villager Tsainama Marubo, 73, said: ‘When it arrived, everyone was happy. But now, things have gotten worse,
‘Young people have gotten lazy because of the internet,’ she explained. ‘They’re learning the ways of the white people.’

More than one million United Methodists have quit the church overnight over new rules about homosexuality.
During a North Carolina conference in early May, the United Methodist Church - a global denomination of Protestantism based in the US - changed some regulations to allow gay pastors and same-sex marriage.
The Ivory Coast division - which has an estimated 1.2 million followers - responded by accusing the international leaders of 'deviating from the Holy Scriptures' and 'sacrificing its honor and integrity to honor the LGBTQ community'.

Walmart promoted its new Pride apparel on social media ahead of Pride month on Saturday, writing on Instagram, "Not just a slogan. #PrideAlways is a reminder to lead with love."
The company’s promotion comes just weeks after Target said its Pride collection would only be available in "select stores" following a major backlash by conservatives last year. [SNIP] Walmart’s new "Pride Always" collection promo includes products like a notebook that says "beyond gender" a tote bag that says "totes gay," a fanny pack with "I heart gay people" on it and rainbow-colored products like a pool floatie and an apron.

The BET is giving its viewers a wide range of political options — Democrats, Democrats, and more Democrats.
In an election year special titled “What’s At Stake” — scheduled to air June 4 at 10 p.m., on BET and BET Her, as well as VH1 — BET correspondent Ed Gordon will hold forth on the political choices black voters will have to make in November.
The special will feature a roundtable discussion with Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), and Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), all of whom are members of the Congressional Black Caucus. [SNIP] Gordon acknowledged the complete political imbalance of his roundtable — and blamed Republicans.

An Idaho bar has opted to counter LGBTQ Pride Month by celebrating 'Heterosexual Awesomeness Month' during the month of June, saying that without them 'none of us would be here.'
Old State Saloon in Eagle, Idaho, which is just outside of Boise, announced this past Wednesday that each Monday would be 'Hetero Male Monday.'
Any man dressed 'like a heterosexual male' will be entitled to a free draught beer, according to a Facebook post from the bar.
In a subsequent comment, the bar also said it was seeking applicants to judge if male patrons that come on Mondays have straight enough clothing.

In response to a Democrat prosecutor, a Democrat activist and a Democrat jury finding former President Trump guilty of a crime that doesn’t exist based on crimes that they couldn’t define (even right down to the jury finding), Joe Biden and the rest of the party has offered up two meaningless mantras.
“No one is above the law”
and
“We must respect the verdict.”
I already addressed the first mantra. No one is above the law except Joe Biden, Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, Eric Holder, Hunter Biden, Barney Frank, Al Gore, and every 2020 BLM rioter. Not to mention every 2023-2024 Hamas rioter and the 2017 inauguration Democrat rioters.

Long before Donald Trump's hush-money trial concluded, I predicted that his conviction was a forgone conclusion – despite the obvious weakness of the case against him.
Had the prosecution been brought in another part of the country, or even in another part of New York State, which was more fairly balanced with anti and pro-Trump voters, I am in little doubt that the outcome would have been different.
But instead, on Thursday, Trump became the first former president to be found guilty of a crime – convicted on all 34 flimsy counts of 'falsifying business records.'

China has spent years trying to strengthen its defences in a stretch of sea many experts have long dubbed the People's Republic "Achille's heel."
The Malacca Strait, which links the South China Sea to the Indian Ocean, is a pivotal passage for Chinese naval operations as well as its energy imports.
The 500-mile strait sits between the Indonesian island of Sumatra, Singapore and the Malay peninsula, and is only 1.7 miles wide at its narrowest point. [SNIP] But the crucial trade route could ultimately prove to be a huge setback for Beijing in the event of a regional crisis.
