Cracker Barrel hopes splashing out $700 million on refurbishing its restaurants can save the dying chain. The six-point plan includes a makeover for stores with brighter colors to make them less dated, a new logo and new menus. New items on the simplified menu include green chilli cornbread and hashbrown casserole shepherd's pie. Two stores have already been refurbished and ten others are testing a refreshed menu. But CEO Julie Masino said prices in many outlets will rise.

The Libertarian Party on Sunday nominated party activist Chase Oliver for president, rejecting former President Donald Trump and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. after they each spoke at the party’s convention.
Third parties have rarely been competitive in U.S. presidential elections and the Libertarian candidate four years ago won 1% of the vote. But the party’s decision is getting more attention this year due to the rematch between Trump and Democratic President Joe Biden, which could hinge again on small vote margins in a handful of contested states.
“We did it! I am officially the presidential nominee,” Oliver posted Sunday on X, formerly Twitter. “It’s time to unify and move forward for liberty.”

Twice failed Democrat presidential candidate Hillary Clinton refuses to accept the fact that she lost the 2016 election to former President Donald Trump because Americans like him better. During an interview with The New Times, Clinton blamed sexism for losing out to Trump.
Instead of taking accountability, Clinton claimed that women voters abandoned her for not being “perfect,” arguing that they took a “risk” on Trump because he is a man.
Just days before the election, then-FBI Director James Comey re-opened an investigation into Clinton.

The Libertarian Party has chosen 38-year-old Chase Oliver as its 2024 presidential nominee.
An openly gay former Democrat who once supported Barack Obama, Oliver used his victory speech to rail against the U.S. “war machine” and demand an end to the “genocide in Gaza,” according to the Washington Examiner.
After author Michael Rectenwald was eliminated from the race during Sunday night’s voting, the final vote was between Oliver and “none of the above,” in which he ultimately prevailed with around 60 percent support. He announced economist Mike ter Maat as his running mate.

Dozens of radical Marxists and Pro-Gaza goons shut down the Princeton Memorial Day Parade on Sunday chanting, “Free, free Palestine!”
This is how the youths honored the fallen servicemembers and veterans.
You can thank their Marxist professors.
What a disgusting, disrespectful bunch. (X) The protesters blocked the street when they saw the American flags coming. (Photo) (X Video) The young Marxists belong to the Princeton 4 Palestine group.(X Video) This was last year’s Princeton Memorial Day Parade. (X Video)

Joe Biden on Monday morning delivered remarks at a Memorial Day Ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
Earlier Monday morning Kamala Harris and Joe Biden participated in a wreath-laying at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

Please fasten your seatbelts and remain seated at all times, it looks like we’re in for a bumpy flight. No less an authority than Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg says so, claiming Sunday that climate change is one of the driving forces behind a rise in severe flight turbulence.
Buttigieg set out his prediction by first declaring “The reality is, the effects of climate change are already upon us in terms of our transportation.” He was speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation, forecasting severe turbulence is something that will continue to“affect American travelers, whether here or abroad.” Buttigieg continued:

Prominent Democratic strategist James Carville slammed his own party Saturday in a rant in which he called its messaging “full of s–t” — and accused the Biden campaign of worrying too much about the war in Gaza.
Carville, who helped run Bill Clinton’s successful 1992 White House campaign, ripped into national Democrats as polls continue to show President Biden struggling in his likely rematch with former President Donald Trump.
“We keep wondering why these young people are not coming home to the Democrats,” Carville, 79, said in a video episode of his Politicon podcast.
“Why are blacks not coming home to the Democrats? Because Democrat messaging is full of s–t, that’s why.”

Late last week it was reported that a member of the U.S. Army Special Operations Command (USASOC) stationed at Ft. Liberty (Bragg), North Carolina was under investigation after he shot and killed a 35-year-old Chechen man who was trespassing on his property. Since the original reports, some disturbing information about the deceased and the company he was allegedly contracting with has come out - and it's got special forces families nationwide spooked.
Here's a brief synopsis of what happened, courtesy of the Moore County Sheriff's Department:
On the evening of May 3, 2024, at approximately 8:15 PM, Moore County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a report of trespassing at a residence

Less than two weeks before Hunter Biden is set to go to trial for felony gun charges, his father, President Joe Biden, paid a visit to one of the upcoming trial’s key witnesses.
Last night, Joe Biden visited his daughter-in-law Hallie Biden, the widow of Beau Biden and ex-girlfriend of Hunter Biden, according to the White House pool report. Beau Biden was deployed to Iraq and it is Memorial Day weekend.
The president does not appear to be distancing himself from his son as the criminal trial is set to get underway. Joe Biden’s visit to Hallie Biden follows a state dinner held by the White House last week with Hunter Biden

Relations between the European Union and Israel took a nosedive on the eve of the diplomatic recognition of a Palestinian state by EU members Ireland and Spain, with Madrid suggesting sanctions should be considered against Israel for its continued attacks in the southern Gaza city of Rafah.
Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz told Spain that its consulate in Jerusalem will not be allowed to help Palestinians.
At the same time, the EU’s foreign policy chief Josep Borrell, a Spaniard, threw his full weight to support the International Criminal Court, whose prosecutor is seeking an arrest warrant against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and others, including the leaders of Hamas.

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA), State Department, and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) all reportedly apologized after members of the communist regime of Cuba received a secret guided tour of Miami International Airport on May 20, in disregard of that country’s status as a U.S.-designated state sponsor of terrorism.
The approximately five-hour-long tour reportedly saw five officials from the Castro family regime visit TSA’s control facilities at Miami International Airport. The high-security areas the communist officials were allowed to visit reportedly contain some of the agency’s sensitive computer systems.
