Jill Biden revealed that country star Brad Paisley will be the entertainment when she and President Joe Biden host their biggest state dinner to-date on Thursday evening.
The first couple will entertain Kenyan President William Ruto, his wife Rachel and 500 guests in a glass pavilion on the South Lawn, with the stars and the Washington Monument visible in the sky.
The Bidens are rolling out all the stops for the Kenyan president after Biden failed to keep his promise to visit sub-Saharan Africa last year. The African leader will lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery, have an Oval Office meeting, participate in a joint press conference

I figured it would be Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood, or Tim McGraw and that wretched Faith Hill, but six of one, half a dozen of another....

Will Kenya's Favorite Son be at the head table with Mooch and the Surly Sisters? Joe can regale the guests with a heavily embellished revelation that he helped deliver baby Barack.
The article teases a plethora of candlelight and sequined tablecloths. I hope Jill's gown is a different color so she doesn't blend into the sea of tables. She has to make sure Joe can find her.

They lost me at lobster. Anything more exotic than crickets/mealworms with dandelion salad is unexceptable. Oh, and don't forget the triple filtered toilet water over ice. Gotta save Mother Earth. Hypocrites.

Yeah, #2 - there's a reason the White House is "rolling out all the stops" (rolling?) for this particular head of state.

Moochie will not be able to resist the free lobster and Barack is guaranteed to be there since it is his home country.

How many times has it been heard that Joe Biden was the average American guy? It seems as if all of his celebrity friends are coming out of the woodwork. Yep, just good ole Joe Biden the average working guy out for the middle working class. . .

I believe the expression 'pulling out all the stops' is a reference to organ drawbars, which engage different ranks of pipes. Pulling them all produces the most massive sound, and also a mixture of different timbers, which result from the construction of the pipes themselves; flute, reed etc.

Maybe Kenya is where the Bidens will flee to after they're thrown out of office, to avoid prosecutions..

#10, the hideous china goes with the sequined flowered tablecloth. Sequins. And the thousand candles in the walls and the shiny strips hanging from the ceiling. Enough to trigger a seizure. That Jill certainly has elegant taste. Dear God I’m embarrassed for her.

They shoot horses, don't they? Excuse me, I got that wrong. They steam lobsters, don't they? Steam them alive. Either that, or else they drop them into boiling water, and watch the carapace turn reddish-orange. Do you know how hot steam can get? Very, very, very hot. Lobster fishermen call these malacostracans "big bugs." It's not so hard to apply the steam to a big bug, is it? Do they holler when the heat goes way up? They're not the smartest creatures in the sea, after all. Biden brained. They don't know nuthin'. PETA ought to be up in arms over this extreme cruelty. BTW, a long time ago, lobster was soul food. Since stone crab season ended on May 1, and won't start back up until October 15, we coastal residents might have to settle for some lobster. Pretty good.

The party planner stated he studies jill's words all the time. If that's the case shouldn't breakfast tacos and other offerings from the local "bogada" be on the menu?
And BTW (maybe I missed this in the article) why was jill meeting the Kenyan President's plane? Where was feckless joe?
