Chicago - Six people are facing fraud charges for allegedly staging armed robberies in and around Chicago so they could apply for immigration visas, according to an indictment unsealed in federal court Friday. (Snip) the purported victims would then file police reports certifying they were victims of a crime, which they then used to submit fraudulent applications to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services for U nonimmigrant status. The U-visa is reserved for victims of certain qualifying crimes who have suffered mental or physical abuse and agree to assist law enforcement with the investigation, prosecutors said.

Comments:

I'm truly surprised the Feds are prosecuting them.

What part of 10 million plus ILLEGALS is a BAD IDEA doesn't the FJB Clown Car Administration understand? Between the inflation/economy at every level and the border/law enforcement FJB should be kicked to the curb and chased back to Delaware.

The so-called U visas are just another leftist and progressive Democrat created “loophole” placed in the US immigration laws to be used by liberal immigration lawyers to legalize illegal aliens.

Immigration fraud is widespread across the Nation. It doesn't always succeed. From Houston, here is a bit of video showing a Good Samaritan stopping an armed robbery at a gas station. It wasn't really an armed robbery--it was a visa scam that the attacker and the two apparent victims were a part of. The Samaritan, unfortunately a prohibited carrier, is a good shot, a very good shot, and the apparent mugger took a real bullet in the brain and took the aphalt temperature challenge. You pays your money and you takes your chances. Bye bye, fella. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n3Ux2TaD_Tk&t=3s (from Active Self Protection)

Students at Princeton University protesting Israel’s war with Hamas in Gaza have called an end to their hunger strike after just 10 days. Princeton Divest Now, the student protest group that is calling for the New Jersey Ivy League university to divest from America’s Middle Eastern ally due to the high civilian death toll in the Gaza Strip, said additional strikers would be continuing their efforts. (Snip) It added: "In the tradition of rotary strikes, seven new strikers are indefinitely fasting for a free Palestine."

Do the Gen Z pro-Palestine protesters even know what they’re screaming, yelling, and encamping about? Definitely not. A Columbia University student who rushed down to NYU’s campus in solidarity with protesters there said on camera that she actually had no idea what they were protesting, eventually admitting she needed to be “more educated” on the issue. I’m sure that’s very much the case with her countless classmates donning keffiyehs and chanting anti-Israel slogans. Forget the three r’s, these Ivy League elitists are schooled in the three i’s: ignorance, indoctrination and Instagram. Trump often refers to his supporters who ramsacked the Capitol by that term. 'Black police officers, black veterans, protecting the Capitol were called another word as you recall,' Biden continued. And now, at the University of Michigan, this radical protest movement just crossed the line into dangerous new territory. This week, agitators reportedly showed up at the homes of University of Michigan Board of Regents members in the middle of the night, invading their private property. They chanted on their lawns and brought with them fake corpses, faux bloodied sheets, and lists of demands, including, bizarrely, completely unrelated desires such as “defunding the police.”
