After a group of elected Republicans joined former President Trump in New York to support him amid his ongoing criminal “hush money” trial on Monday, a slew of other high-profile GOP supporters including House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) joined the former president on Tuesday.
Joining Mr. Johnson in court alongside President Trump on Tuesday were two men rumored to be on the shortlist for President Trump’s 2024 vice presidential pick—Gov. Doug Burgum (R-N.D.) and former GOP candidate for president Vivek Ramaswamy— as well as Florida Reps. Byron Donalds and Cory Mills. The GOP elected officials were seen entering the courthouse with President

Seriously, commenters, do you really think that there’s something random or coincidental about these men (and others) showing up with President Trump in court? Far from “finally getting around to it,” I suspect that the timing has been coordinated with the Trump campaign, and so far the timing has been great — as I would expect from the Trump
Campaign.

Johnson is there to save his job, and the others are there hoping to get a job. Those from Congress should be back in DC subpoenaing the lawyers engaged in lawfare regarding the weaponization of the justice system. Johnson should be advancing the Republican agenda, instead of the Democrat agenda. I am done with his treachery.

It's a show trial. Is New York selling tickets yet? Maybe Democrats will start showing up and sit on the persecution side of the courtroom.

FTA: "Most recently, President Trump gave his support to the speaker as Ms. Greene brought her motion to vacate the speaker earlier this month. President Trump said now was not the time to bring such a vote and that he believed Mr. Johnson was doing a good job. Tuesday’s appearance marks the first time the two have been together since the vote to oust him overwhelmingly failed."

"Moral support" is a lot easier to give than action...and is a lot less effective. If the Republican congress is unable to think of the kind of real action it might offer, I'll be glad to spell it out from them. For starters, how about proposing legislation for a 50% reduction in funding for the DoJ until it applies the laws equally to 100% of the people in this country? Right now, only 50% of the people (Republicans) are apparently subject to prosecution for certain asserted crimes, so until those laws are applied equally to Democrats, DoJ would have to figure out how to live with 50% of their budget.
There. I have other suggestions in case the Republicans can't think of any more action items for effectively dealing with our two-tiered justice system. I'll even provide a hotline to call if they need more.

Oh #1, I can tell you. They are out now because untold thousands of MAGA Republicans have nagged them into it by telephone and e-mail. Johnson having to READ his statement out there - really? Ugh. Anyway, with regards House and Senate Repubbies as they are, I shall be grateful at least they are realizing it’s best for their careers to be beside the next re-elected President!!!

These guys are at the filthy court of a filthy judge and the filthy schemes to ruin trump for a reason: themselves.
they realise how much they need PDT's-- coat tails...the lawlessness and embezzlement theyve rained down on
the voters can get them turfed out. They've just shovelled more millions out the door to ukr. we're not supposed to know
what they knew: that border is utterly undefended. the russians can, and did, swan over it because that money- and
so much more, was already 'disappeared' by the local crooks, who did not build so much as a lemonade stand.
lowvote-joe demands fed $--not 'his' campaign $--to buy votes...billions for israel, trillions more for ukr, and--
GAGA Mike loves photo ops, to demand more CR's-- b/c he refuses to be Speaker or exercise the power of the House
to defund hack smith all over DC NYC ATL, Now ! to end the endless lawfare vs. pdt-and the voters.
mikey mouth brags of passing the '4th Amendment is Not for Sale Act' ; knowing chucky schemer will Not bring it to a
vote NOW -to protect ppl's sensitive information--from misappropriation and sale to bad guys , for millions a throw.
His biblical worldview understands too many politicians want those endless millions, no matter who it hurts.
they could've skipped the photo sessions and shown pdt the needed legislation they passed to defund the illegal,
unconstitutional, efforts to bankrupt and jail the only guy who is needed at the helm-not these clucks.
