A California homeowner who was ordered to hide his boat from view of this wealthy neighbors has hilariously trolled city officials with an act of malicious compliance. Seaside resident Etienne Constable was told he needed to erect a cover to obscure the vessel or he would face an $100 fine back in July 2023. Municipal codes state that, 'boats and large pickup campers, motor homes, recreation vehicles, utility trailers, and vacation trailers' can only be parked on driveways if, 'screened on the side and front by a six-foot-high fence'. The homeowner acquiesced, but put his own tongue-in-cheek spin on it by painting a photo realistic mural

In a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, 12 House Republicans are demanding to know why Trump-appointed immigration judges are being dismissed even as the border crisis rages.
“Your department is unfairly terminating Trump-appointed immigration judges amid a historic border crisis and rapidly growing immigration case backlog,” wrote the lawmakers, led by Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ).

Actress Jennifer Lawrence taunted former Vice President Mike Pence, calling him a closeted gay man at GLAAD’s (Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation) annual Media Awards event in New York City Saturday.

Here's something that the Washington Post's Allyson Chiu may not know: When the temps outside drop to -32 (good American Fahrenheit, not commie Celsius), even with an oil burner, baseboard electric heater, and the wood stove going, the house gets chilly. So, despite Ms. Chiu's recommendations, I'm not taking a cold shower to save the planet - not now, not in the middle of winter, not anytime. But that isn't the only thing she thinks we should do to reduce hot water usage.

I always thought “ironclad” meant binding, but to President Biden it apparently means a pledge that’s good until it becomes politically inconvenient to stick to it. On at least two occasions he asserted his (and our) commitment to Israel’s defense was “ironclad”: “On July 18, 2023, seated beside Mr. Herzog. “And as I affirmed to Prime Minister [Benjamin] Netanyahu yesterday, America’s commitment to Israel is firm.
