Barack Obama trashed President Trump during an appearance on the “Smartless” podcast with Joe Biden and Bill Clinton.
“I have been surprised that there haven’t been guardrails inside the Republican Party. Trump didn’t surprise me,” Barack Obama told host Jason Bateman.
“I mean, he comes from New York. There’s nobody in New York who does business with him or lend him money. He’s not considered a serious guy here,” Obama, the former community organizer who has created nothing in his life added.

As RedState reported, things finally reached their breaking point at Columbia University on Tuesday night. After weeks of illegal trespassing by pro-Hamas fanatics that escalated to the storming, damaging, and occupying of Hamlitlon Hall, police finally got the green light to move in, and move in they did. According to the latest reports, the pro-Hamas "encampment" and Hamilton Hall have been cleared, with over 100 arrests being made. Videos are emerging of the raid and its aftermath, with dozens of "protesters" crying in horror as they face the consequences of their actions.
A fair warning that you may enjoy this a bit too much.

United Methodists repealed their church’s ban on LGBTQ clergy in a landslide 692 votes for and 51 votes against at their General Conference Wednesday with no debate, The Associated Press (AP) reported.
The repeal removed the church’s rule that expressly forbade “self-avowed practicing homosexuals” from becoming ordained or appointed as ministers, The AP reported. The vote also reportedly repealed a ban on same-sex marriages, allowing clergymen to perform LGBTQ wedding ceremonies without repercussions.

Hala Rharrit, a career diplomat, handed in her resignation over the Biden administration's policy in the Israel-Hamas war.
Rharrit has an 18-year career as a U.S. diplomat. She is an Arabic language spokesperson described as one of the most recognized faces of American diplomacy for Arab media. She is opposed to what she called Biden's unwavering support for Israel. She said others in the State Department are afraid to speak out with their views publicly.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) could be the latest Democratic lawmaker to face a censure resolution in the House after Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) announced plans to condemn the hard-left lawmaker over her comments on pro-Palestinian protests on college campuses.
Bacon is set to introduce the resolution as early as Wednesday, although it remains unclear when the Nebraska Republican will seek to force a vote on the measure. The text has not yet been finalized for the resolution, although it’s likely to include Omar’s latest comments as well as past statements regarding Israel, according to a source familiar.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) announced Wednesday she’ll force a vote next week on whether to oust Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), an extraordinary move highlighting the internal turmoil in the GOP.
But it’s also a move that is all but certain to fail after Democratic leaders said they would vote to protect the Speaker from her coup attempt. Forcing a vote on the motion to vacate resolution — which Greene filed against Johnson more than a month ago — will compel the chamber to act on the measure within two legislative days.
“I think every member of Congress needs to take that vote and let the chips fall where they

Scottish film star Brian Cox slammed religion for leading humanity into “all kinds of horror” on Monday.
During an episode of The Starting Line podcast, the self-described atheist-socialist actor asserted that religion has hurt humans’ ability to face reality, contributing to their own “stupidity.”
“It’s all about this notion of God, the idea that there’s a God that takes care of us all,” (Snip) “The word ‘God’ anyway, is a conceit,” he said. “It’s a terrible conceit that we don’t really acknowledge.”
Cox, who plays the odious billionaire media mogul Logan Roy in the HBO hit series Succession, described the Bible as “one of the worst books ever.”

Columbia University issued a statement in response to reports that officers from the New York Police Department (NYPD) had begun a raid on the campus.
“A little after 9 p.m. this evening, the NYPD arrived on campus at the University’s request,” the statement from the university said. “This decision was made to restore safety and order to our community.” NYPD officers dressed in riot gear were recorded preparing to move into Columbia University, hours after anti-Israel protests had seized control of Hamilton Hall, an academic building on campus.

Northwestern University, located in the liberal suburban Chicago enclave of Evanston, Illinois, announced their concessions to the radical Hamas supporters who have taken over their campus to end their protests and encampment.
Two of the most notable include the promise to offer full-ride scholarships to Palestinian students and also guaranteed faculty jobs for Palestinian academics.
The University will also provide special housing for Muslim students and will “advise employers not to rescind job offers for students engaging in speech protected by the First Amendment.”

California Democrats who pushed through the state’s punitive new minimum wage must be feeling mighty proud about now. Not only are fast-food joints closing or replacing low-end employees with overseas workers and robots, now the law is costing the very people it was supposed to help while decimating consumers’ wallets. Well done!
The $20-an-hour wage floor foisted on California’s fast-food restaurants, dubbed with the innocent-sounding moniker Assembly Bill 257, was signed into law last fall. It didn’t take long to become a disaster.
Hoover Institution senior fellow and economist Lee Ohanian showed just how quickly bad policies can wreck an economy. And the damage was done even before the law

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) slammed Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams and the presidents of Columbia Univeristy.
Ocasio-Cortez responded to a post on X which referred to remarks made by Adams during a press conference earlier, in which he said the protest at Columbia University had been “co-opted by professional outside agitators.” “If any kid is hurt tonight, responsibility will fall on the mayor and univ presidents,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote. “Other leaders and schools have found a safe, de-escalatory path. This is the opposite of leadership and endangers public safety.”
