During a portion of an interview with NBC News that was aired on Tuesday’s “NBC Nightly News,” FBI Director Christopher Wray stated that the agency isn’t monitoring the protests on college campuses because they “don’t monitor protests” as a general rule, “but we do share intelligence about specific threats of violence with campuses, with state and local law enforcement,” and “when violence ensues, that’s when we get concerned, when you have threats of violence.”

A Los Angeles resident was arrested Sunday after breaking into Mayor Karen Bass’s home, according to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD). Officers arrested 29-year-old Ephraim Hunter and booked him on a felony burglary charge (snip)
Hunter was previously charged with kidnapping and attempted murder in Massachusetts, according to the Los Angeles Times. Opening arguments for Trump’s trial related to a $130,000 payment to porn star Stormy Daniels began on Monday, and the judge overseeing the case, Juan Merchan, reportedly will end the session early to allow one of the alternate jurors to attend the appointment. The bill is called the "‘Denying Infinite Security and Government Resources Allocated toward Convicted and Extremely Dishonorable Former Protectees Act," also called the "DISGRACED Former Protectees Act." Princeton University students are preparing to establish an anti-Israel protest encampment, according to documents obtained by National Review. The students claim to have pro bono legal support and trained security.

Rep. Donald Payne Jr. (D-N.J.) has passed away from complications after suffering a heart attack on April 6. Payne never regained consciousness after the cardiac arrest and was kept alive on a ventilator in the intensive care unit at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He was 65 years old.
