House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) made history Thursday night just before midnight by essentially surrendering Republican majority control to Democrats.
For the first time in recorded history — since the House began keeping records — the House Rules Committee relied on minority party votes to overcome objections from the majority and advance a rule bill to the House floor. The committee voted nine to three, with all four Democrats on the committee voting with five Republicans to move a rule to the House floor, which, if passed with Democrat support as expected, would allow votes on Johnson’s foreign aid package, including a bill that includes tens of billions to fund Ukraine.

Hillary Clinton described Joe Biden and the Democrat party and she trashed Trump during her podcast interview with Marc Elias, a far-left lawyer who helped Hillary purchase the fake Trump-Russia dossier in 2016.
Typical projection.
“Putin does what [Trump] would like to do,” Hillary Clinton said to corrupt left-wing lawyer Marc Elias on his “Democracy Docket” podcast. “Kill his opposition, imprison his opposition, drive journalists into exile, rule without any check or balance. That’s what Trump really wants.

Key Democrats revealed new legislation Friday that would strip former President Donald Trump of his Secret Service agents if he is convicted and sentenced to prison. Rep. Bennie G. Thompson, the top Democrat on the House Homeland Security Committee, said it’s about making sure Mr. Trump doesn’t get special treatment for whatever crime he might be sentenced. He is worried that having to accommodate a Secret Service protective detail could lead to accommodations for a former president.

A spending bill backed by House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) includes hundreds of millions of dollars in American taxpayer money for border patrol agents in Ukraine as illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border remains at record levels.
The spending bill, which 151 House Republicans helped 165 House Democrats advance on Friday, would see more than $95 billion sent to foreign countries — including about $61 billion to Ukraine amid its ongoing war with Russia. Slipped into the funding package’s Ukraine spending is $300 million for “the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine 20 and National Police of Ukraine, including units supporting 21 or under the command of

President Joe Biden scooped up endorsements from at least 15 members of the Kennedy political family during a campaign stop Thursday as he aims to undermine Donald Trump and marginalize the candidacy of independent Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
Kerry Kennedy, a daughter of former Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, niece of former President John F. Kennedy and sister of the current presidential candidate, delivered the endorsements in Philadelphia by calling Biden “my hero.”
“We want to make crystal clear our feelings that the best way forward for America is to reelect Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for four more years,” she said.

Former Minnesota Reform Party Gov. Jesse Ventura said Thursday on CNN’s “OutFront” that he could beat bothident Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump in a hypothetical match-up.
Ventura said, “I’ll tell you this Erin, I think right now I have no, I’m an individual, I don’t have a big bunch of people behind me or none of that. But I’ll tell you this, if I had ballot access in all 50 states and I were allowed to debate, I could beat these two major party candidates. They would be easier to beat then Attorney General Humphrey was and Mayor Norm Coleman was back in 98.

Watching Joe Scarborough’s Morning Joe is a front-row seat to the effects of Trump Derangement Syndrome.
Scarborough suffered a humiliating meltdown in March after getting called out for lying about President Trump on X.
Now, in his latest episode of unhinged anger, Scarborough rages that Trump supporters “hate America.”
“What’s wrong with you? Who raised you? What history did you read? Where are you from? Because you may claim to be from where I’m from, but you were not raised by the same teachers I was raised by, and you don’t read,” Scarborough said.
He was raised by teachers as opposed to being raised by parents?

Chinese hackers are developing the "ability to physically wreak havoc on our critical infrastructure at a time of its choosing," FBI director Christopher Wray said this week. He added that the hackers are waiting "for just the right moment to deal a devastating blow."
The hacking campaign, known as Volt Typhoon, has embedded itself successfully in several American critical infrastructure companies that include telecommunications, energy and water, and others, he said.

The Biden administration’s Department of Education unveiled a sweeping set of rules on Friday that effectively erase protections for sex-based spaces by expanding the Title IX prohibition against sex discrimination to include “gender identity” — a term that’s never mentioned in the original law.
A majority of Americans agree that males who claim to identify otherwise should not be allowed to infiltrate girls’ and women’s sports teams. As of now, some 25 states have laws or regulations aimed at keeping boys and men out of female-only spaces, on and off the field.

Workers at a Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tennessee, voted overwhelmingly to join the United Auto Workers, becoming the first Southern autoworkers outside of the Big Three to do so in a region long resistant to unionization, the labor group announced late Friday.
The UAW declared victory as votes continued to be tallied, with its unofficial count at 2,628 for joining the union and 985 opposed, or 73% to 27%.
"Volkswagen thanks its Chattanooga workers for voting in this election," the company said in a statement acknowledging that workers had voted in favor of union representation. "We will await certification

The righteous among us ignore the swirling depths of the culture: don’t get any on you, is our entirely correct attitude. It is dangerous down there in the swamps. And icky, lizard-like-depths-of-hell you-can’t-imagine-how-bad dangerous.
But guess who does pay attention? The little creeps who spend their grey days inside office blocks with no natural light, monitoring us. The ones hiding great big secrets. The ones manipulating their ‘stars’, the industry plants used to ‘entertain’ us, while they loot the culture. Don’t make any mistake about this, the only reason TikTok is still around is that it is being used to massively expand surveillance.
