Joe Biden on Wednesday stopped to chat with reporters on the tarmac as he was departing Scranton, Pennsylvania. Biden told a dubious story about how his grandfather (or uncle?) Ambrose Finnegan (Jr.?) was hot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals. “Ambrose Finnegan, we called him Uncle Bosey – he was shot down, he was Army Air Corps before there was an Air Force. He flew a single-engine plane, reconnaissance flights over New Guinea and he volunteered when someone couldn’t make it and he got shot down in an area where there were a lot of cannibals…” Biden said.

A 12-person jury has been selected and sworn in to serve on former President Donald Trump’s hush money trial after three days.
On Thursday, prosecutors and the defense team agreed on 12 jurors-- and an alternative-- who would be able to remain impartial during the trial in which Manhattan District Attorney General Alvin Bragg alleges that Trump made payments to adult film actress Stormy Daniels ahead of the 2016 presidential election. The jurors will include seven men and five women who were chosen after answering extensive questions regarding their personal lives, political views, social media posts, and the ability to remain unbiased

Half of the second round of potential jurors in the Trump hush money case — 48 people — on Thursday were immediately excused after they said they could not be fair and impartial.
Of those 48 who were excused because they could not be fair and impartial, 23 were men and 25 were women. Roughly 15 appeared to be non-white, according to reports from the courtroom. That meant that half of the potential 96 jurors brought in said they could not be fair and impartial jurors in the case, which is almost the same number who said they could not be fair and impartial on Monday

A North Carolina high school student was charged after he allegedly slapped his teacher multiple times during a viral profanity-laced classroom rant earlier this week.
The rage-filled youngster, identified only as a minor, confronted the educator inside Parkland High School in Winston-Salem, where he violently attacked her, according to video posted to social media.

Both articles of impeachment against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas were deemed unconstitutional by the Senate on Wednesday in a party-line vote.
