The Silky Hand of Qatar Targets Jordan

Original Article

The Jordanian authorities have accused the Muslim Brotherhood and its offshoot, Hamas, of seeking to destabilize security inside the kingdom. Behind both Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood, of course, is the terrorist-sponsoring emirate, Qatar, and its propagandizing television bullhorn, Al-Jazeera. Jordan's leaders are doing exactly what many other Arab regimes and heads of state have long been doing: radicalizing their people and inciting them to violence against Israel as a means of distracting them from problems at home.

All the Muslim tribes and states hate each other only a little less than they hate Israel. Should they manage to get their way "from the river to the sea," does anyone think for one second that the violence will stop? They will gleefully go back to pre-1948 behavior and slaughter each other with the save vim and vigor as they slaughter Israelis. One bone to pick with this article. fta: The Arab leaders want their people to be busy hating Israel. Otherwise, the people might demand democracy, transparency and accountability from the corrupt Arab rulers. --- No, no, no. When are we dunderheaded Westerners going to get over "nation building" ideas and learn these 7th century savages don't want democracy! They just don't! They want "the strong horse." They want warlords and tyrant kings and tough guys and mullahs. It is their culture and religion. It is all they understand and we should actually listen to them for once. So few Muslims care anything about democracy. We have seen this time and time again in Iraq, Iran, Egypt, Syria, and the list goes on.

Trump campaign relying on Melania as a

Melania Trump’s headlining fundraiser later this month is part of a strategy to portray the former first lady as a “softer, more moderate voice” for the Trump campaign, sources told The Post. While Donald Trump will join his wife at the April 20 fundraiser, hosted at Mar-a-Lago by the Log Cabin Republicans, insiders said the campaign intends to put — and keep — Melania in the spotlight as the feminine counterpoint to his brash style. “The Trump campaign recognizes that Melania is their secret weapon,” a source close to the campaign said. “Her appeal is critical to win battleground states and undecided voters,

President Joe Biden keeps lecturing corporate America to "pay your fair share" of taxes. It turns out he's right that some companies really are getting away scot-free from paying taxes. But it isn't Big Tech companies in Silicon Valley or the Wall Street financial company "fat cats" or big banks or Walmart. They pay billions in taxes. The culprits here are the very companies that Biden is in bed with: green energy firms. It turns out that despite all the promises over the past decade about how renewable energy is the future of power production in America,

Former President Donald Trump declined to endorse a national abortion ban Monday, instead saying that abortion laws should be left to the states. “My view is now that we have abortion where everyone wanted it from a legal standpoint, the states will determine by vote or legislation, or perhaps both. And whatever they decide must be the law of the land. In this case, the law of the state,” Trump said in a video message posted to his Truth Social page. He didn’t say after how many weeks of pregnancy he believes abortion should be banned.

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton returned to her alma mater, Wellesley College, on Saturday. But the reception was less than polite. Clinton returned to campus to participate in a women-led democracy summit and to acknowledge the honor of a college building named after her, the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center for Citizenship, Leadership, and Democracy. Wellesley College alum Hillary Rodham Clinton (’69) is in town this weekend to launch the Hillary Rodham Clinton Center for Citizenship, Leadership, and Democracy with a one-day summit on Saturday, April 6 called Renewing Democracy: Women Leading the Way.

It is important to understand that censorship does not occur in a vacuum. It is a symptom of a worsening disease. It is an early indicator of the political repression to come. Like a canary in a coal mine, the criminalization of speech forewarns that State-sponsored terror and murder are not far away. First, certain words and thoughts are banned. Next, certain people are rounded up and imprisoned. Finally, certain “enemies of the State” are executed quite publicly. The imposition of fear supersedes the rule of law. Terrorism undergirds social order. Oppression replaces popular support.

Those are four words that no lawyer wants to hear from a judge in a hearing. But that was not the least of it for Justice Department lawyers fighting House subpoenas into the Biden corruption scandal. U.S. District Court Judge Ana Reyes slammed the DOJ for stonewalling Congress on the subpoenas while imprisoning figures like former Trump adviser Peter Navarro for doing the same thing. The Biden Administration has blocked the testimony of prosecutors Mark Daly and Jack Morgan, who were involved in an inexplicable decision of the Justice Department to allow major felonies against Hunter Biden to lapse. In prior hearings,

Just days ago, NSC spokesman John Kirby assured the world of the administration’s “unwavering support” for Israel in its fight for survival. President Biden authorized an arms transfer to Israel, including 1,800 MK-84 2,000-pound bombs, 500 MK-82 500-pound bombs, and 25 F-35A fighter jets. Days later, following tragic drone strikes in which seven World Central Kitchen workers perished, the President made clear the need for Israel to announce and implement a series of specific, concrete, and measurable steps to address civilian harm, humanitarian suffering, and the safety of aid workers," according to a White House readout of the call.

Seven aid workers at the World Central Kitchen mission in Gaza were tragically killed this week in an Israeli attack while delivering trivial amounts of food, bolstering imaginary accusations of “famine” and “genocide.” The man who sent them into a war zone, celebrity chef José Andrés, now contends the workers were “targeted deliberately” and “systematically killed” by Israel. The war in Gaza, he says, is “not a war against terrorism anymore” but a “war against humanity itself.”

In an interview with the Tennessee Informer last month, Friend recalled his experience at the FBI Academy in 2014: “We were shown a video that was produced by the Southern Poverty Law Center.” The film, Friend said, “ranked people who oppose abortion, pro-life activists, as a greater threat than Islamists.”

Before getting into the weeds, here’s the big picture baseline. All documents and records created within the executive branch are created for the benefit of the head of the Executive Branch, the president. There is no entity, organization, assembly, institution, person or individual, above the President of the United States. The president holds absolute power and absolute immunity. Everyone within the executive branch works at the pleasure of the president, and all work products are created for his administration. This is the plenary power of the president.

You know the stereotype of the NPR listener: an EV-driving, Wordle-playing, tote bag–carrying coastal elite. It doesn’t precisely describe me, but it’s not far off. I’m Sarah Lawrence–educated, was raised by a lesbian peace activist mother, I drive a Subaru, and Spotify says my listening habits are most similar to people in Berkeley. I fit the NPR mold. I’ll cop to that. So when I got a job here 25 years ago, I never looked back. As a senior editor on the business desk where news is always breaking, we’ve covered upheavals in the workplace, supermarket prices, social media, and AI. mericans are being urged to stay away from classic American dishes like steak and eggs and some desserts because there's a small risk of catching bird flu. That is the advice of former FDA food safety advisor Dr Darin Detwiler who said animal products that are not properly cooked could harbor small fragments of the virus which is currently tearing through US farms. That means steak should be cooked well done and eggs with runny yolks should be avoided. Even salad dressings like Caesar can be a risk due to being made with raw eggs, he said. The H5N1 bird flu strain has caused outbreaks on over a dozen farms across the US,

The incident is the latest in a series of protests and rallies staged by anti-Israel and pro-Hamas activists arguing against Israel’s effort to eliminate the terrorist group. The demonstrations resulted in the arrests of 50 people. Have you ever wondered where all that stone booty in San Francisco ends up? A lot of the shoplifted items end up being sold out in the open by street vendors. San Francisco Mayor London Breed has been trying to crack down on the lawlessness by shutting down the illegal street vendors. But that has proven to be difficult. First, a 2018 state law has made it nearly impossible to enforce a ban because it prevents police officers from being involved in any crackdown. Only in California. But that's only half the problem. Civil rights groups, Hispanic advocacy organizations, and the far left have all been quick to scream about

Civil rights groups are calling for the collapsed Baltimore bridge to be renamed when it's rebuilt, citing accusations of racism against national anthem author Francis Scott Key. The Caucus of African American Leaders of Anne Arundel County in Maryland voted unanimously to call for the renaming and will lobby governor Wes Moore on the proposal, as reported by the Baltimore Banner. The caucus includes civil rights groups such as the NAACP and the National Coalition of 100 Black Women. Leaders argued that the The Star-Spangled Banner author -who the collapsed bridge was named after - was a slave owner who wrote lyrics that scholars have said 'demeaned black people.'

"G*d d*mn America!" was the first and only serious crisis of Barack Obama's ascension to the Democrats' presidential nomination in 2008. Obama's longtime pastor, Jeremiah Wright of Chicago's Trinity United Church of Christ, said those words repeatedly in an infamous videotaped sermon. In an earlier age, a presidential contender sitting still and keeping his mouth shut during years of sermons like Wright's would have torpedoed Obama's presidential ambitions. Anyone from the early GenX cohort and older thought there was a non-zero chance Obama might be toast. Anyone younger — largely denied the Civics classes prior generations were raised on and spoonfed "America is bad, mmkay?" lessons — knew better.
