Angry shoppers are boycotting Tyson Foods products as the $53-million meat firm shutters plants in Iowa and elsewhere while hiring thousands of asylum seekers at job fairs in New York.
Campaigners are urging consumers to stop buying Tyson products amid its wave of closures of poultry- and meat-processing plants across Iowa, Virginia, Arkansas, Indiana, and Missouri.
They point to Tyson's efforts to hire thousands of asylum seekers in New York, offering $16.50-an-hour wages and free immigration lawyers, accusing the firm of ditching US-born workers for cheaper migrant labor.

FTA —- “Tyson this week said it would shutter its pork plant in Perry, Iowa, this summer, putting 1,276 people out of work in a town of just 8,000. About half of the plant's workers are understood to be Latino, according to local news outlets.”
The newest wave of illegal alien invaders is always willing to work for less.

Remember please...Bill Clinton's biggest backer when running for President was Tyson, in 1994 Tyson was CAUGHT smuggling people across the border to work in it's plants, providing them with false Identifications, including fake green cards, falsifying testimony and federal court filings, 6 high ranking officers of the company were charged, one committed suicide...but when the case finally made it to Federal court, under prosecution by Eric Holder, they were acquitted. Eric Holder is now their Chief Council.
They have 120,000 employees...they say they want to hire 52,000 illegals...meaning either a nearly 50% INCREASE in over all employees or a 50% reduction in current ones.

Tyson and other Chamber of Commerce heavies love illegal immigration because it keeps wages low and working conditions poor.

#5 thanks for that list. I do have some Ballpark franks in my fridge. I will still eat them (my favorite) but I will not replace them when gone. I buy assorted products from all of those brands which I will now substitute. These layoffs will hit those towns hard. So are they closing plants with the intention of reopening them with "newcomer" employees? Letting them sit idle until they are staffed again? This doesn't make good business sense to me but I honestly don't know what they have in mind. I know Dollar Tree is closing 1000 stores. People have been complaining that a lot of the stores were looking pretty empty. This might be why. Why restock a store that is going to close. We have had quite a few stores close in the past year. Not due to shoplifting just not performing well. The more that close the harder it is to shop with the money you have left after FJB gets his cut. Things are shaking up. FJB is doing a great job.

Yes, thank you #5. I've added those vendors to my "Do Not Purchase" list when I grocery shop to help me remember. I have a few Jimmy Dean products in my freezer which I won't replace after they're gone.

Thanks, #5. Also, the term “illegal alien” seems to have been replaced by the heart-wrenching and harmless sounding term “asylum seekers.” The law is specific and, unless Mexican and running from immoral prosecution for things like thought crimes, it is unlikely that any of the new workers sought asylum in the U.S. Someday there will have to be a reckoning for the importation of illegal aliens and it will come down to citizens protecting their birthright or fundamental change where American-born citizens become slaves to criminals.

My husband has "migrants" working for him (not his choice, the owners). Are they hard workers? Yes. Do they show up for work every day? Yes. However, many of them come to work sick, sometimes quite seriously. They don't understand processes or rules. Most of them know very little English and they don't understand why they have to do things a certain way. If something goes wrong or if something breaks, they don't report it. They'll try to fix it themselves (incorrectly) or they'll just keep going until a supervisor notices something is wrong. It's pretty scary knowing that they make machinery parts, or with Tyson, they'll be working around food.

Thanks, posters, for the list Tyson owns. I will cease to buy anything Tyson and, more usefully, write and tell them why. They might notice a drop in sales and ignore it but thousands of emails and/or letter might get their attention.

Chik Fil A does not deny some of their chicken products are sometimes sourced from Tyson too. They use a variety of sources and it has been a little hard to pin them down. I just don’t do fast food anymore and that seems a major way to deny Tyson money!
