New York Gov. Kathy Hochul (D) addressed New York business owners in a new interview and told them there was “nothing to worry about” after former President Trump was hit with a $355 million fine and the inability to conduct business in New York for three years.

You are safe from sham prosecution as long as you aren't a treat to run against a dim president.

Exactly OP. Trump, and only Trump, will be prosecuted and fined for damages when there are none. Selective prosecution, anyone? Appreciate your assistance with the appeal, Kathy.

Trump should only pay his NY property taxes based on the court's appraisal which supersedes any state assessor's. Any business in NY should use Trump's value reassessment to adjust their property values for tax purposes accordingly.
It is inconceivable that Trump could be convicted of fraud when the banks and insurance companies never lost a dime. Even if Trump had defaulted on a loan and the bank tried to recover its loss through a fire sale, Trump could not be charged with fraud because it was the bank's fiduciary responsibility to the shareholders to perform due diligence on the loan before making it.
The corrupt judge and everybody who does real estate deals anywhere in the world knows this. Calling it a sham is too charitable.

Translation for the NY City business community: Nothing to see here we were only after Trump.
This is how the commies operate, make an example of somebody to keep the others in line. I'm waiting for business to start an exodus from NY City the will complete the transition to "Detroit - East".

So, she is indicating this was a single isolated, targeted prosecution, huh?

Oh……. You should worry. NYC is about to start experiencing consumer products shortages and right of center business owners will be pulling up stakes. That $350 million plus windfall is going to cost NY billions in lost tax revenue and productivity.

I for one am done with New York and I live ten minutes from the border. I will avoid it at all costs. This was not a rogue decision by one lunatic. It was planned and crafted with the support of the majority of residents. They can celebrate this Pyrrhic victory in their people’s republic, but not with me.

You’ve set a precedent that you will attempt to destroy and business or person within NY based on nothing but politics. I’d say anyone right of center has a great deal to fear.
Good luck with the truckers, by the way. You deserve it.

Can’t stomach even looking at this woman. Pay no attention to what she says. She’s as big a liar as Biden. And just as nasty. And New Yorkers, she doesn’t give a rats rest end about you. If she did, NYC would be in the shape it’s in. And as for deporting the illegals who attacked the police officers, never going to happen. She probably helped arrange their getaway from New York. She’s all mouth and no action.

This statement alone should send NY businesses into a panic. Maybe that is the idea. NY and Hochul are anti-business.

Her statement screams that this was a one time politically motivated sham event. Of course no other business will be subject to the same scrutiny, that is, unless they have the wrong political views.

Obviously she means businesses have nothing to worry about when it comes to leftist and socialist Democrat “law fair” persecutions as long as those businesses contribute to and support the leftist and socialist Democrats and their far left political agenda.
