The New York City Council has overwhelmingly rejected Mayor Eric Adams’ veto of the controversial NYPD bill that will force cops to document nearly every interaction with the public — something Hizzoner and other critics have argued will drown officers in paperwork and threaten public safety.
Adams, who fought the “How Many Stops Act” tooth-and-nail in recent weeks, failed to sway the two councilmembers he needed to beat the override — with the final vote to force the through the bill passing 42-9 on Tuesday afternoon.

“If the mayor can’t take 10 minutes out of his day to call members, I’m wondering how serious he is about this,” one council source told The Post ahead of the vote.
this way HE gets to defund the police, but can blame it on a faceless Council..
win, win for all communists involved..
(they did this in mogadapolis - now losing all their cops)

One more reason to vacate the premises if you live there.
As for me, I'm happily 1100 miles away in Flyover country.

One year after this bill goes in effect how many police officers will be left in New York City?
This is going to be interesting.

You know how people in New York City think they are so much smarter and sophisticated than those of us out in the rest of the country. This is just another demonstration that they are not. They have got to be the stupidest "smart people" around.

Time to close up the cop shop and let nature run its course. Consequences are hell. Get out of there while you have a chance.

I believe San Francisco adopted something similar to this a few years ago. Cops have to fill out paperwork - and diversity information on everyone with which they speak. The city pressure groups want to make certain the police aren't stopping and harassing minorities. Now you know why there are too few cops on the streets interacting with the general public. Why bother, right?

Cops will now spend seven hours of their eight hour shift doing paperwork.
God must love stupid liberals. He made so many of them.

At least the NYPD will be doing something to earn their paychecks besides standing around and watching the teens clean out the few stores that are left. The place is now like Lord of the Flies only the kids are not British and they carry a 9 mil instead of a sharp stick. Put a wall around the place and it could be a live reality show.

This is exactly what cops should do in New York. Flood the city with paperwork.
Write up everything they do and do it so often the forms flood the city,

The worse part is the police will stop questioning suspicious people, and up goes the rapes, and murders. I don't feel sorry for the public, they voted for each one of those morons.

Here's another game plan for the lefties...they hope to defund cops ...get them to quit and then call for martial law for the 2024 election to control the electorate...keeping US in our homes and away from the polling places is their game...so obvious...their court appearance of the shoe shopping idiot laughing and hysterical because she cheated President Trump out of 83 million dollars...well...her giggling and laughing on the news programs is turning against her and her legal staff...to include Krazy Judge Kaplan...they look foolish....
