California Bill Calls for Tech to Make
New Cars Unable to Speed

Original Article

Someday in the not too distant future, it might no longer be possible to drive a brand-new car faster than 80 mph in California. That's because state senator Scott Wiener earlier this week proposed a new bill that aims to prevent certain new vehicles from going more than 10 mph over the speed limit. (snip) SB 961 that was published Tuesday, (snip) essentially calls for speed governors on new cars and trucks built or sold in California starting with the 2027 model year. These vehicles would be required to have an "intelligent speed limiter system" that electronically prevents the driver from speeding above the aforementioned threshold.

In case you've forgotten who Scott Wiener is, below is a representative excerpt about him from a 06/06/23 Post Millenial article: On Monday, the California State Legislature honored a member of The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence with a community service award, despite nationwide backlash against the anti-Catholic group of drag nuns. The group will also be featured by the LA Dodgers at the Pride night on June 16. Democrat state rep Scott Wiener presented the official honor to "sister Roma," where he recognized the trans-identified "drag nun" for exceptional service to the community. Wiener has also made the California a "sanctuary state" for children who want to undergo sex changes without parental consent or knowledge.

Speeding on most California freeways is not possible unless you are out between 3:00 and 5:00 am. Other than that, your car might as well be a giant snail. These control freaks are ruining the state with their "improvements." The used car market will get bigger and bigger while most new cars will sit on the lots.
