Nikki Haley relied heavily on the support of Independents and Democrats in the New Hampshire primary yet still lost by wide margins.
Of Haley voters in the Granite State, CNN said, “about 7 in 10 said they were registered as undeclared prior to Tuesday.”
CNN relied on an exit poll to make its shocking statement. New Hampshire’s loose requirements allow for voters to cross over, while future Republican caucuses and primaries will consist overwhelmingly of registered Republicans.
Trump crushed Haley in the New Hampshire primary by double digits with results still outstanding. The Associated Press called the New Hampshire results within three minutes.

70% of her votes are democrats.
And she still lost.
I look forward to seeing her get crushed in her home state soon then dropping out. I do not expect her to endorse Trump. That would be classy.

I'm not sure that means much. I quit the republican party when they foisted Romney on us. I'm sure a lot of others did too. It became apparent that the republican party did not represent my conservative/libertarian values and maybe never did. I will not vote for her when the opportunity arises, but if I did it would appear as an independent.

What a horrible way to run a primary, allowing opposition party members to vote at will.

In Michigan you'll get a primary ballot with both parties on it.

Note that Haley's plan for victory in NH was EXACTLY to take advantage of these non Republican voters. That should tell you the kind of person she is and the type of campaign she is running. Rather than focusing on issues and making a principled stand, she is trying to GAME the system. Gee, that sounds like what dems did in 2020.
Trump won. Further, despite all the media and political lies, we know what we are getting with Trump and most of it is VERY good indeed. Of course we will have some chaos. Cleaning out entrenched interests that are terrified of losing their grip on America will not be done with unicorns, lollipops, and rainbows. However, Trump is wiser now. He has TRUE enemies and he knows who they are. They won't surrender gracefully but he has shown he is willing to do the heavy lifting required. Further, most these enemies of America have also shown themselves to be very stupid and have only succeeded by virtue of the liberal court system. Trump's first term weakened them. He can work more on that in his second term, as well as uprooting the bureaucratic state.

How can you, with a good conscience continue to run for the nomination when 70% of your voters are non Republicans AND you have lost twice to the nominee apparent. This is unforgivable. Just look at the contrast between her and Vivek - no class!

Haley is weirding out. As former governor of SC, I would wonder what her base in SC thinks about her uber-rino behavior. Or was she already a rino back then.
Suppose she does a party switch and takes biden the cheater's place after he drops out?

FTA: “about 7 in 10 said they were registered as undeclared prior to Tuesday.”
That does not mean that 7 out of 10 were registered Democrats! It's dangerous for us to dismiss Haley's votes as some kind of Democrat game if in fact her votes came from UNDECLARED voters. Trump NEEDS the INDEPENDENTS to win; he cannot win with his base alone. We should be paying attention to and learning from those statistics, not sneering at them.

Chances are many of those Democrats voted in person for Haley in the Republican Primary and then wrote Biden’s name in at the Democrat Primary. Why not, as obviously the wimpy Republican Party would not have had a clue!

According to the letter from her campaign manager posted above, South Carolina does allow Democrats to vote in the Republican primary. So does Michigan, Idaho, North Dakota, Virginia, Texas, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina and Vermont (that is going through Super Tuesday). Her campaign is depending on those voters all the way.

Her "voters" were probably not U.S. citizens either, being members of the "O'Biden" Party, recently formed at our southern border with Mexico.

The winners in the NH Primary? There were two. Donald Trump and all of the media companies that got millions and millions of ad dollars IN CASH! (That;s the law...)

So... now WE know just how never Nicki thought she could win...by the democrat and independent cross overs....she tried to take away New Hampshire's republican voters for her own gain...and it backfired on her...GO President Trump...MAGA all the way to the White House.....

How many of these Nikki backers never intended to vote Republican in the general election regardless of the nominee? What a travesty our electoral system has become. Rather than voting for what you want, you vote to sabotage the other party. Dishonest people create a dishonest system.

If my calculations are correct, that means if New Hampshire had a true Republican primary, Trump would have crushed her with something like 80% of the vote.

Yep! They vote to put her in as a candidate then vote for the Democrat for President. Good way to insure the Republicans have a losing candidate.

Michigan has open primaries... meaning, you are not registered as Republican or Democrat and you can, in the primary, vote for whomever you want. Back in '16, as recommended by Rush Limbaugh, I voted for Hillary. No way I thought she could be elected but I wanted her to have the edge over Sanders et al. So, that 46% for Haley? Really maybe just 6% Republicans.
