Hamas’ underground tunnels are at least
350 miles long and have turned Gaza ‘into

Hamas’ sinister network of tunnels underneath the Gaza Strip may be over 350 miles long – or hundreds of miles more than initial estimates, sources said this week. The tunnels may run for anywhere between 350 to 450 miles, and boast a staggering 5,700 entrance shafts, senior Israeli officials told The New York Times. The new estimates – which could not be confirmed – are over 100 miles longer than the original numbers, which placed the tunnel network at around 250 miles long, the outlet noted. The tunnels’ vastness is “extraordinary” given that Gaza’s longest point only stretches about 25 miles, the Times said.

If they are living like rats it's because that is what they are. Just imagine the time, effort and money it took to dig and add structure to these tunnels in secret. Then imagine if the time effort and money had been used for real constructive purposes. Why would any country send aid to these people when they could support themselves if they weren't spending all of their money and time digging tunnels so they could kidnap and kill Israeli's. Sending financial and medical and humanitarian aid to these people is sending them money for their dumbassed hate war

Like a major infestation of gophers in a golf course... ordinary methods for getting rid of the problem are made ineffective by the sheer multitude of pathways and portals. It's just not possible to seal all the escape routes. Now is that Gaza? Or Juarez? Both terrorists and drug cartels use the same strategy to elude those tasked to stop them.

Adding to #3, this could be done with horizontal directional drilling. No need for pumps. Hamas would then have their own personal fishing holes in their backyards. Texans can help with this project.

With a tunnel network this extensive, I wonder if flooding the tunnels with sea water would collapse the ground above it creating huge ponds and lakes or with buildings collapsing.

Details such as these reinforce my belief that the Israeli bombing campaign is the only effective approach to eliminating Hamas. Several have suggested that Israel should have had a much more restrained and "surgical" response to October 7 by coordinating efforts of the Arab Gulf states combined with special forces action. Easy to be Monday night quarterbacks, but such an extensive network of tunnels could sustain an urban terror resistance indefinately with a disproportionate attrition of IDF. Israel is a tiny country of less than 10 million. It really is a matter of whether they continue to exist or not. (P.S. I believe the Bible gives us the answer to that)

I'll answer my own questio: The Gaza Strip has a total land area of about 360 square kilometres. It's 41 kilometres long from its northern border with Israel to Egypt down south, a distance just shy of a marathon run. The small territory is 13 kilometres at its widest, about 5 kilometres at its narrowest, and about 10 kilometres at the top. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-10-24/how-big-is-the-gaza-strip/103001830 So how do 350 miles of tunnels work out?

Tunnels in Japan were the reason for dropping two nuclear bombs. I have personally seen the tunnels and they are extensive. Earthquakes did not destroy many of the tunnels. Many of the tunnels included medical stations and barracks for troops. There would have been great loss of life for the Japanese and the American troops if Truman had not decided to drop the bombs.

What has so often struck me, and irked me, about the embrace of “diversity” dogma is how profoundly unintellectual it is. A wiseguy might say it’s really a simple IQ test, though a wise guy understands it’s a soul and sagacity test. To wit: To the extent that a person accepts as imperative diversity, DEI, CRT, wokeness in general — or whatever the latest shiny anti-Truth thing is — he is a vacuous know-nothing, not just unqualified, but dangerously ignorant. It’s a bizarre story coming out of New York City: the secret Jewish tunnels that got busted up by police. It was a chaotic scene, where officers were forced to deploy pepper spray to get the crowd of Hasidic Jews under control. Almost a dozen members were arrested. The video footage is nuts, featuring a bloody mattress and an intricate network of underground works that immediately led to city inspectors verifying and combing the area for signs of degradation in structural integrity. The tunnels were built underneath a synagogue in Crown Heights. This illegal project was supposedly the brainchild of a group of extremist students of the Chabad movement.
