A year after leaving the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama created a production company called Higher Ground Productions that would produce documentaries and high-end movies. Their most recent movie, though, seemingly seeks the lowest ground possible, for it appears to stoke racial hatred in the context of an apocalypse.
According to the Higher Ground website, Leave the World Behind throws a white and black couple together during a massive cyberattack: A family’s (Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke) vacation is upended when two strangers (Mahershala Ali and Myha’la) arrive at night, seeking refuge from a cyberattack that grows more terrifying

I liked the movie. I think the black/white relationships were honest. Two families without much interracial contact. They started out suspicious of each other and ultimately found comfort and solace. With the current state of affairs between conservatives and progressives I can see the ending portrayed by the movie.

Bathhouse Barry has at least 50% victimhood in his new philosophy, and he really shouldn't trust himself. Apart from his Mommy, it was all "white people" whom he had "trusted" who helped make the "great imposter" possible, from scholarships to political donations. Almost none of it came from non-whites. IOW, Barry, you are a flaming HYPOCRITE!

Why not declare the Black vs White war now so we can get it behind us and move on? With Obama as Supreme Commander they should last a week or so.

100 years from now - - this will be considered an all-time classic - - like Gone With The Wind, The Wizard Of Oz, and Citizen Kane - - or - - perhaps it will be forgotten 15 minutes from now - - like Ishtar and Heaven's Gate.
Ummm - - what were we just talking about? I forget.

now .... does anyone have any doubt who the sowers of discontent are in this country? and
- have been since comrade mullah obama made his entrance onto the federal level with his ascension to the Senate from the only state he could possibly represent -- Illinois
- the demcommies knew that the best way to corrupt and destroy our country is to attack and neutralize the "Heartland" and now the Chicoms are using the same tactics in their takeover of our country

It’s not a bad movie, nor is it very good. With a very unsatisfactory ending and too many scenes that made no sense.

After nearly 70 years of racial lecturing, I no longer care. I now stay away from any narrative that smacks of BIPOC vs white. I live my life one-on-one. If you’re a decent person, I could care less what your demographics say.

Rich coming from two of the least trustworthy people on the planet. We don't know if one of them is a girl or a dude; the other one is or isn't American; and, they either have two children or they don't. And that's just for starters. How long, Lord?

The racial divide in America deepened dramatically when Obama was elected and it continues to do so, thanks to DEI and "diversity is our strength." The Obamas, from the moment they entered the White House, fomented dissension everywhere they go, and they keep doing it. People should ignore them and recognize them for the grifters they are. Never was a couple so vaunted who deserved it less.

Another modern drama structured entirely to create the opportunity for the people with the right skin and sex to recite Leftist catechism. Plot is dead. And how is that the Black man who is trying to trick a hardworking White family into leaving life-saving safety is the heroic figure?

My biggest change since that communist and his tranny husband took office is verbal. I went decades without many racial thoughts or racial words. It wasn't that I was ashamed of them; just saw no need. Life was pretty smooth.
Nowadays, since I am at fault for every ill humanity has had to suffer, I use those words dozens of times daily. My next dog will be named Enward.

My wife and I watched it. As it unfolded, the entire narrative was racism. It is everywhere throughout the film. The entire thing was an homage to the entitled white man and his/her racist world view. Basically, the movie sucked. The only scene that is worth anything, and even it is skewed, is the scene with Kevin Bacon in front of his house. It is towards the end of the movie. Otherwise, it's a hodgepodge of grievance mongering. I had no idea that the Obamas had their claws in it, but it is obvious now.

Barak needs to remember that is was the "White" mother and grandparents who raised him not his Black father. If he had been raised in Kenya his life would have been a lot different. He needs to bless those people who made sure he had the opportunities he had.

What would happen if a movie was made documenting the theft and rioting committed by the black community? We know, all hell would break loose. Yet, these democrat elitists can openly defame white people without barely a notice. This double standard must stop. Whites are not the ones committing violence en masse.
It is totally irresponsible for the Obama’s to support these blanket statements. They are racists and don’t even try and hide it. Things would be much better in this country if they would address the real problems in their culture but they will never do it. They sit high above the black community and have no real interaction with their culture. They have moved on up and do not in any way mingle among their people. They are too busy on Martha’s Vineyard hobnobbing with their white neighbors.

Nothing like a movie starring a bunch of Hollywood elites (black and white) and produced by another elite black power couple hectoring everyone else about racism while they surround themselves only with their fellow elites of whatever color.
Q: is their Secret Service detail all black?

I canceled Netflix last during the last year of PDJT's Administration leading up to the steal of the century in 2020. My son who is now working at his dream job gifted his mom with a new subscription this past Mother's Day. She likes Julia Roberts, so I got roped into watching this movie so that she'd watch The Commuter staring Liam Neeson. That's a good film in case you want to check it out. I agree with #23's assessment of the movie. Along with the bland ending. I didn't know that the Obama's who I dislike greatly had a hand in its making. I'm also not a big fan of Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon or Mahershala Ali. I'll keep an eye out for anything produced by so-called Higher Ground Productions from here on out.

The trailer showed all the Teslas that self-drove themselves off the dealer's lot to crash together and block roads. That got my interest. Why would the left show the weakness of electric self driving technology?
But don't make my mistake - I accidentally ordered a movie of the same name on Amazon Prime.

This movie is 44 years behind. The following dialogue is from the Steve Martin movie “The Jerk”, 1979:
“[Navin receives some farewell advice]
Mother: And remember: the Lord loves a working man.
Navin R. Johnson: Lord loves a working man.
Father: And Son: don't never ever trust whitey.”

Watched it last night. I was disappointed. The Road is, I think, the definitive post-apocalyptic movie. This is not as provoking. The scariest thing about this movie is seeing how Julia Roberts has aged.

Give me a break...the only reason for this "sudden" project is to tell blacks to get in line with the rats so they won't vote for President Trump....especially black men who are rallying to President Trump's side...angry black women not so much...but...who knows...we'll see at the rat's convention in Chicago...the black women are predicting a very tough convention for the rats....seems they have had enough....soros had better get there quick and dool out some money....

Stokers of mistrust never seem to tire of their quest to cast "the other" in a badlight. It's not just color of skin but religion as well ...which is one reason why the empty-skulled Palestinian protesters keep marching despite war crimes and atrocities from Hamas - "by golly, those Jews are White Oppressors!"

The Obamas are so powerful, they changed the meaning of what used to be the straight forward meaning of words, previously understood by common meaning. For example, black rioters, arsonists, thieves, looters-of-opportunity, and murderers in their 20s and 30s became known as "Teens" under Obama's watchful eye and within his compliant press. Quite an accomplishment.
