Pelosi: GOP Taking Away Freedom by Banning
Books — Classics ‘Now Burned’

Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said Tuesday on MSNBC’s “Alex Wagner Tonight” that she believes Democrats are fighting for freedoms that Republicans are taking away with book bans. The former speaker claimed books in school that have been classics “are now burned.” Wagner said, “Some of the priorities for these Republican lawmakers in a vacuum. The most egregious things really stand out. Among them their war on reproductive freedom and the most recent comments from their informal head, their front runner, Donald Trump, who wants to replace Obamacare.” Pelosi said, “Yes, imagine that. I have a book for Endora Pelosi... it has 66 books contained therein that speaks to the issue of our Creator, who hates the shedding of innocent blood and also mentions that all liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone which is the second death. Let's talk about that book... OK Endora Pelosi?

No books are banned. They can be checked out of a public library or purchased from many companies. Every book ever published cannot be purchased for a school library. I would also like to know which classics she is talking about. Seems to me progressives are the ones who squeal about the n word in To Kill a Mockingbird and have attacked the Little House on the Prairie series. Obamacare is a joke. My son was recently divorced. He lost his health insurance. Checked into Obamacare but they said he made to much money ($30,000 is not my idea of too much money). Maybe if he identified as an unmarried 20 year old black woman with three children with three different men. Dems fighting for our "freedoms". Yeah, right. They want to tell you where to live, what kind of transportation you should be taking, what to eat, what energy source you can use etc. Considering a "good democrat" can't tell you what a women is or says things like a man can really be a woman and men can get pregnant I wouldn't put much stock into anything this cow utters (play on works, get it). She is a disgusting person.

Ya mean like the dems cancelled Laura Ingalls Wilder and postumosly took away her award? Or the Dr. Suess books they cancelled? So dems want to take away the truth of history and books but the repubs want to remove sextually explicit books from 4 year olds. Hardly an issue. Why did my daughter have to die from breast cancer but pelosi, a cancer in herself, still lives. Damn these dems

It's not the Republicans who want to change the words in Roald Dahl's books in order not to offend the oh so easily offended. It's not the Republicans who took some of Dr. Seuss's books out of print because some of the easily offended crowd was offended by a couple of illustrations. It's the Democrats who are the biggest banners around now. Those books that they love so much - Gender Queer, This Book is Gay, Flamer etc., can all be found prominently displayed at Barnes and Noble or ordered from Amazon. So quit with the Republicans are book banners. Look into the mirror and you'll see one.

As she ages she gets bolder and more crazy with her statements, lies actually, and it’s all just to stir people up, make them go into a mental frenzy - much like the kids going nuts on campus. That’s all she is: a fear monger, a false flag alarmist. She has shed any dignity she had just to manipulate people in the most profoundly dishonest of ways.

Didn't know that Gender Queer was a classic. Maybe in the LGBTQ community but not the rest of the world. Pelosi can still pick up he copy at most bookstores, Amazon, or public libraries. She is from San Francisco. It is probably required reading there.

I guess Dingbat Nancy due to being in a constant state of inebriation has forgotten how her party of self-righteous morons banned To Kill a Mockingbird, Huckleberry Finn, Dr Suess, and Laura Ingalls Wilder and any book that upset their delicate sensibilities. No one but them is banning books. Anyone who wants to read classic tomes like Gender Queer can go get it from their favorite bookstore, purchase it on Amazon or go to the library. As far as Obamacare goes several young healthy people, I knew who didn't need insurance wound up getting penalized for that. All so everyone could get "free healthcare." Instead, everyone's premiums went through the roof. Nutso Pelosi aka the Crypt Keeper needs to put down her vodka flask, shut her piehole and crawl back into her sarcophagus.

About the only "classic" I know of that was even banned from school libraries was Canterbury Tales, which is a little on the "mature readers" end of the spectrum, even for high school Juniors or Seniors. The cancel-happy Left have, by comparison, removed countless true classics from school curricula and libraries. Like Animal Farm, Lord of the Flies, and To Kill a Mockingbird, just to name a few.

President Biden ordered strikes on three locations in Iraq after three U.S. service members were wounded, one critically, in an attack early Christmas morning credited to a militia group backed by Iran. In a statement Monday, National Security Council spokesperson Adrienne Watson said Biden directed the strikes against three facilities used by Kataib Hezbollah and affiliated groups, which claimed credit for the initial attack against U.S. personnel. The groups, the U.S. said, are all connected to Iran. The U.S. attack was carried out by a one-way attack drone, according to the statement, which said the three locations were “focused specifically on unmanned aerial drone activities.”

A federal appeals court should dismiss Donald Trump's federal felony indictment on election-subversion charges on the grounds that he has "immunity" from prosecution for acts committed while president, attorneys for Trump argued in a court filing Saturday night. The 71-page opening brief from Trump's legal team took direct aim at Special Counsel Jack Smith's criminal charges, calling them "unlawful and unconstitutional" because under the U.S. government system the judicial branch "cannot sit in judgment over a President's official acts." Trump's lawyers argue that the only way a current or former president can be charged for official acts is if he's both impeached by the House and convicted by the Senate.

Warplanes in the air awaiting orders were called off their task, WSJ claimed, quoting "people familiar with the call," due to Biden's pressure.
