In addition to being an insufferable leftist, Paul Krugman is a world-renowned economist. He even has a Nobel Prize to prove it.
I’m just a retired engineer who refuses to keep my opinions to myself. I shouldn’t be able to ridicule him on economic matters, but he just makes it so danged easy. It’s seems clear that our Nobel laureate is either economically illiterate or just plain dishonest. I doubt he’s economically illiterate, but I’ll let you decide.
Krugman recently ran an article entitled “The Progressive Case for Bidenomics.” Apparently, he didn’t get the memo.

In a recent episode of “Meet the Press,” GOP Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared to suggest a lack of compelling evidence in the ongoing impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden.
When questioned by host Kristen Welker about his stance on the allegations against Biden, Graham indicated that he has not been closely following the proceedings. His comments implied that for the inquiry to hold weight, it must demonstrate that Joe Biden benefited financially from his son Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
Graham’s statement, “If there were a smoking gun, I think we’d be talking about it,”

The fallout continues for Harvard University.
A law firm has just announced that it will no longer recruit from the school, due to the controversy surrounding Harvard President Claudine Gay, who failed to flatly condemn students on campus calling for the genocide of Jews.
Gay has also been exposed as a plagiarist, but the school is standing by her. It’s amazing how much damage all of this has done to the school’s brand. A law firm will cease on-campus recruiting of Harvard Law students due to the university president’s recent congressional testimony, telling Fox News Digital the move will be in place until there is a “sea change” on campus.

Major shipping company Mearsk has halted all cargo ship travel through the Red Sea as Iranian backed Houthi terrorists continue their assault in the region. "Container shipping giant A.P. Moller-Maersk A/S instructed its vessels heading for the southern entrance of the Red Sea to pause their voyages after one of its carriers came under attack. The move threatens to undermine the global economic recovery and adds to pressure on the US to improve security along one of the worlds most important trade routes," Bloomberg reports. "Disruptions in the area can snarl supply chains and world trade.

President Obama’s Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, once said, “Never let a crisis go to waste.”
The Biden administration is following this dictum by nominally supporting Israel’s goal of destroying Hamas in order to advance the Two-State Solution.
It matters not at all that neither the Palestinians nor the Israelis wanted such a solution.
In a piece titled: There Are No Innocent Civilians in Gaza, Daniel Greenberg wrote:
Only 17% support a two-state solution while 77.7% want to destroy Israel and replace it with a ‘Palestinian’ state.
The Israel Democracy Institute reported on Dec. 5, 2023, that on the question “Should Israel agree

For most of Western history, art was used as a way for patrons to showcase achievements, propagandize citizens, or lionize individuals. Maybe the single greatest artist in human history, Michelangelo, created his greatest works for patrons of various sorts. He created David for the Florentine Guild of Wool, the Pieta for the French ambassador to the Holy See, and the Sistine Chapel and St Peter’s Basilica for popes. Art was, in one way or another, an homage to something greater than its creator.
Fast-forward about three centuries, and the art world begun to change.

My old friend and business partner, John Moynihan, filed a whistleblower complaint with the Department of Justice Inspector General’s Office on November 28 alleging that Jack Smith, the Special Prosecutor pursuing Donald Trump, was engaged in an extortion scheme while he was working at the International Court of Justice. (You can find the complaint at the bottom of this linked article by Patrick Byrne.) It is no coincidence that Jack Smith, in the wake of that complaint, made an impromptu move on Monday (December 11) asking the U.S. Supreme Court to decide whether Donald Trump had immunity to the charges filed

I was recently asked if there was a defining moment that dramatically accelerated and perhaps made permanent the chaos this nation is presently facing. My answer: the two weeks between March 16 and March 30, 2020.
On March 16th, Donald Trump declared a National Emergency for COVID-19 and effectively shut down the nation for “15 days to slow the spread”. At a press conference announcing the temporary shutdown he said: said: “ With several weeks of focused action, we can turn the corner, and turn it quickly.”
Regardless of the severity, never throughout the annals of mankind has a nation been shut down to combat a pandemic.

A year after leaving the White House, Barack and Michelle Obama created a production company called Higher Ground Productions that would produce documentaries and high-end movies. Their most recent movie, though, seemingly seeks the lowest ground possible, for it appears to stoke racial hatred in the context of an apocalypse.
According to the Higher Ground website, Leave the World Behind throws a white and black couple together during a massive cyberattack: A family’s (Julia Roberts and Ethan Hawke) vacation is upended when two strangers (Mahershala Ali and Myha’la) arrive at night, seeking refuge from a cyberattack that grows more terrifying

Special Counsel Jack Smith has a big question for the Supreme Court. Appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in November 2022 to oversee the Biden DOJ's investigation of former President Donald Trump for his actions leading up to and on January 6, 2021, as well as his allegedly improper keeping of federal records after leaving the White House, Smith wants a ruling on Trump's immunity — or lack thereof — before Trump's even been convicted. Now, in a filing to the Supreme Court of the United States, Smith is asking: "Whether a former President is absolutely immune from federal prosecution for crimes committed while in office or is constitutionally protected

Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Ut.) on Sunday came out in opposition to the House GOP-led impeachment inquiry into President Biden — while blasting first son Hunter Biden’s behavior and ripping him as an “unsavory person.”
Romney, who voted to convict then-President Donald Trump during both of his impeachments, argued that there isn’t evidence to go after Joe Biden. “I think before you begin that impeachment inquiry, you ought to have some evidence — some inclination that there’s been wrongdoing,” Romney said on NBC’s “Meet the Press.”
“If I was in the House, I’d vote against it, unless they were able to bring forward evidence that suggests…”
