Chevrolet has done the impossible this holiday season: it produced a commercial without any woke nonsense, which was beyond refreshing. No Dylan Mulvaney shenanigans, no virtue signaling, and no liberal drivel being forced down our throats. I don’t know if America’s executives have learned that going woke is a ruinously expensive venture. The car company might release a lefty ad later. For now, let’s enjoy this tearjerker. The ad starts as a family visits their grandparents over the holidays, where the grandmother is exhibiting signs of dementia. She doesn’t even acknowledge her young granddaughters seeing her.

Must be the third or fourth article here about this damnably manipulative commercial advertisement for vehicles built by a company largely owned by the Communist Chinese Party and from foreign sourced parts.
Do not be fooled, these people want you dead and your childrens children enslaved to them for generations...

Many of us realize what they did so the propaganda did not work. They also got the medical science backwards because dementia patients usually remember their distant past quite clearly and forget what happened in the most recent past. GM fell for the EV hype and government subsidies, which is an anti-American mistake that will put them under water. They also accepted a $5 billion loan from Obama via US taxpayers which turned into a bailout. No tears shed here.

Who cares if GM is sinless or doesn't walk on water? I refuse to act like Scrooge before he saw the light. Being manipulative is the whole point of advertising and I for one am glad to see a holiday ad as used to be the norm before everyone became so damnably 'woke'.

Beautifully crafted ad certainly accomplishes hitting all the emotional notes that so many of us have known or are living through with family. I wish it were the case that putting our loved one in a car and revisiting favorite spots could bring some happiness and connection, but, sadly, that is fantasy. Nevertheless, it's hard not to feel touched by this ad.
BUT, I'll withhold judgement until we see the next ad they produce. Will they swing back to Woke? Probably.
One ad I think is also well done is the group of older women who use the colorful sleds to hit the snowy slope and relive a few minutes of pure childhood freedom and joy. This is from Amazon.

That may well be the most beautiful thing I have seen in years. I am sitting here in tears. So glad Mrs C isn't up yet.
If I am to be manipulated, I'd rather it be with beauty and love rather than the woke carp we are subjected to pretty much daily.
I'm not in the market for a new car and may never be again. If I am though, I may well remember this.

I wouldn't mind any car company making commercials about how reliable their cars are, or how many great features they have, but I am put off by emotional manipulation type of commercials which have no bearing whatsoever on the capabilities or advantages to the product being advertised.
I enjoyed the old Budweiser commercials on one level as a celebration of American values, but I was always just a touch irritated at A-B playing on patriotism to sell their beer. Not a fan of that sort of an ad.
If you want to convince me to buy your product, tell me about the virtues of the product or it's low price compared to the competition.

Oh Puleeeze...I don't care if you hate GM or not, you have to admit it is a wonderful Ad. you don't have to look at it as them selling a Car, look at it as them selling what American Ads used to look like. They were full of the Wonder of Christmas instead of Woke or Two Guys Kissing or Two Mommy's taking care of their kids. Its a great AD of times gone by! It's the reason we loved the Budweiser Horses adds, it's a Happy Ad that actually applies to what a lot of folks are living with right now. I'm happy that someone finally figured out that we hated the ads of just a few years ago, and the ads they're putting on TV Now are making folks happy again!

1. Good to see Caucasians in commercials again- an advertiser who realizes it’s a good ideal to try to appeal to people who actually buy your products.
2. Made me think of Dementia Joe and how his eyes must light up again when he goes to the garage and sees that Corvette nestled among boxes of classified documents.

I will never forgive GM or Chrysler for stealing from the American taxpayers in 2008/2009. I owned 3 GM cars in the past, and shall never waste another cent on any of their products. There is only one American car company left, Ford.

Thanks to Matt Vespa for widening the audience for this fabulous ad for Chevrolet. Not all ad agencies nor all corporate marketing executives are as "woke" clueless as Bud Light's. For those who have experienced a loved one's dementia, this ad hits home.
