The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday adopted its first formal code of conduct governing the ethical behavior of its nine justices, bowing to months of outside pressure over revelations of undisclosed luxury trips and hobnobbing with wealthy benefactors.
The court released its code "to set out succinctly and gather in one place the ethics rules and principles that guide the conduct of the members of the court," according to a brief introductory statement.

An initial investigation into a massive fire at a homeless encampment beneath an underpass in downtown Los Angeles that shut down the Interstate 10 indefinitely has already determined arson was responsible.

Felicia Franklin announced that she is filing the suit for wrongful termination after county officials voted unanimously to dismiss her from her position as Board of Commissioners vice chair over the September altercation, which was recorded on police-worn body cameras, according to the Daily Mail.

Eight high school students in Las Vegas between the ages of 13 and 17 have been arrested on suspicion of murder in the fatal beating of a 17-year-old classmate, authorities announced Tuesday at a news conference.
Las Vegas police homicide Lt. Jason Johansson said investigators were still working to identify two more students believed to have participated in the Nov. 1 fight that he said was over a pair of wireless headphones and a vape pen.
Johansson said the local FBI office assisted with the arrests Tuesday morning of the eight students. The two outstanding students will also face murder charges, he said.
