What we know about the flash-mob-style
ransacking in Philadelphia

Dozens of people were arrested after a group of teenagers looted several stores in Philadelphia’s Center City District on Tuesday. The flash-mob-style ransacking at stores such as Apple, Foot Locker and Lululemon came after a peaceful protest over a judge’s decision to dismiss all charges, including murder, against former Philadelphia police officer Mark Dial in the Aug. 14 fatal shooting of 27-year-old Eddie Irizarry. Interim Philadelphia police commissioner John Stanford said at a news conference that the looters, who were seen on video in masks and hoodies, were not part of the protest but rather “a bunch of criminal opportunists.”

Comments:

Nothing here. Just another blue(?) city.

It is either right or wrong. There must be rules that allow us to function in a safe society. What is it with the black community (like it or not most of these mobs, wherever they happen, are mostly blacks) that they don't seem to have a problem with robbing and looting, destroying other people's property, physically harming other people and shooting each other with abandon? Where are the black leaders calling these people out, the churches, the regular good and decent people of their communities? Where is the law and order? The decency of living among others is no longer considered the norm.

These flash mobs are engineered by people external to the participants. The riots are NOT spontaneous. Everyone's phones and computers need to be searched to unearth the 'mindermasts', I mean masterminds (with apologies to Beyond the Fringe). These events without any doubt represent organized crime. I wouldn't put it past Soros' money as responsible.

Well number 3, methinks it all boils down to a lack of morality...we are living in an End TImes age where everything seems to be ok...it's like The Purge, every day....I would bet 99 percent of them have no father figure around, perhaps no real family other than a gang, don't go to church, probably can't read or write coherently (dropped out of our 'great' schools)...some get caught and the revolving door liberal judges just let them back on the street...perhaps the signs down in Florida 'You Loot We Shoot' should be applied there...and it ain't about reparations...it's about savagery and 'Im gonna get me some stuff'....business people don't 'owe' these people anything...but maybe a jail cell...

Well, it shows they have some kind of organizational skills - would be better if they used it for good instead of destruction. Jail them, then make them clean up what they did. Make them come face to face with the people’s whose jobs were affected. Make them pay restitution. Make them continue to clean up Philadelphia, America’s them responsible for the city they live in. Don’t let them be freeloaders.

As the war between Israel and Hamas intensifies, former President Barack Obama finally chose to break his silence on the hostilities. In a post on social media, he affirmed his support for Israel, condemned the killing of innocent civilians, and called for a lasting peace in the region. While some might appreciate Obama’s sentiments, perhaps he is not the best vessel for a message about the evils of killing civilians given his drone record and financial support of Iran. On Monday, the former president wrote: All Americans should be horrified and outraged by the brazen terrorist attacks on Israel and the slaughter of innocent civilians.

These days, harassment isn't hard to commit. One quick ticket to Tormenter Town may await in a lavatory line. Such is illustrated by a story out of Illinois. Therefore, on May 15th, the system invited enrollees to the restroom of their choice. Twenty-five years ago, California enacted Proposition 10, one of the most aggressive anti-smoking campaigns in the country, referring to tobacco, not marijuana. Called the First Five program, it sharply increased taxes on cigarettes and directed much of the proceeds to a variety of programs and new agencies aimed at helping young families who are raising children. These included things such as preschools, pediatric healthcare, and literacy projects. It has been widely considered a success. But there is a growing problem with this project. It’s apparently been too successful.

Remember all those fights about removing historical statues? Of course you do, since the battles continue to this day. The issue flares up every once in a while, particularly when Democrats want to get their voters fired up against the evil American system of government, which is almost always. Advertisement One big battle took place during the Trump administration, and Trump dismissed the (largely successful) movement to remove statues and building names that glorified members of the Confederacy. Trump had a simple argument: wiping away these statues and references to the Confederacy had nothing to do with confronting America’s racist past, and everything to do with wiping away American history as a whole.
