A Reality Check for Republican Voters

Original Article

Posted By: Mercedes44, 9/27/2023 6:07:07 PM

There are three realities that Republican voters can no longer avoid. The first, Joe Biden will not be the Democrat nominee in 2024. Second, the Democrats want to face a damaged Donald Trump in November of 2024. Third, Trump’s age, unforeseen events, and the egregious lawfare he is facing could eventuate in Trump having to drop out of the race. Ron DeSantis is the only viable proven conservative candidate to replace him and yet Trump and many Republican voters are foolishly determined to permanently destroy DeSantis and render him unelectable.

The point of making DeSantis unelectable is perhaps the dumbest of all dumb moves made by Trump and his supporters. There is an unrealistic bent that it's ok to burn down your house to spite your face

Here's an idea Mr McCann. How about the Republican Party Leaders get off their asses and start supporting the candidate who is the overwhelming favorite of the voters? Where is the outrage and daily comments from the party leaders? Their silence confirms their membership in the "Big Party" that we voters are not and never have been members of. Trump and nobody else!

The only reality check is that it’s Trump or lose for sure. No other Republican candidate can defeat Biden or his replacement. Best get ready for many more years of idiocy, stupidity, treachery, thievery and incoherent social programs with no use other than to line the pockets of Democratic supporters. I intend to vote, but I’m realistic. Fortunately I’m able to sidestep most of the problems we see and read about. I feel for those who can’t and I know their only hope is to kick Democrats out of power.

Another DeSantis minion. DeSantis is just another McCain or Romney with a bit better understanding of how to lie to the voters. But he's let it slip out many times that he would be an establishment republican president. Exactly what America DOES NOT NEED. The republican nominee needs cross over voters, Democrats who prefer the republican candidate over the democrat candidate. There would be 0 of these for DeSantis but a surpisingly high number for Trump (blacks, and hispanics). DeSantis is like my fourth choice.

Here here! #3!! I’m not going to pretend this is a normal election and “may the best candidate win the primary.” The republic is under siege by an utterly corrupted dimokrap party - both the leadership and the corrupted followers whose curated minds cannot keep the founding principles first and foremost. I think desantis is a good guy, I hope, but i will not accept a new normal of the Dims destroying our candidates by using the instruments of government if they really don’t like them. Which is all of our candidates unless they agree to the dims’ terms.

Agreed. I have learned that Ron DeSantis is surprisingly like Trump in his perspective and his instincts, the difference is mostly in personality and physical attributes. Also, he may possibly be more clever in his dealings with 'the opposition'. Clearly, from his book at any rate, he admires Trump's achievements, despite some recent campaign comments to the contrary. IF something untoward were to happen to Trump, God forbid, IMO we would be very lucky to have him. And I'm not convinced he would lose to Biden....against any other Demonrat candidate, it's very hard to predict.....a lot can happen.....

If you think the country is circling the drain now, just go ahead and let the Dems and RINOs bring Trump down! The mere fact that they're throwing everything at him has exposed their wickedness and their fear of him. To abandon him now - and come up with Plan B is playing right into the opposition's hands. The media is getting louder about Biden's senility and Trump's growing strength. Never trust them. They are trying to scare the uninformed Americans that a hopeless choice is looming ----- so that their chosen candidate - be it Newsom or Michael O - can ride in and be the refreshing savior of the Republic.

Donald Trump did not suggest supporting Florida Representative Matt Gaetz's proposal to remove Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker while praising the under-fire California Republican. Speaking at a campaign stop in Ottumwa, Iowa, on Sunday, the former president said it was too early to comment on Gaetz's threat to oust McCarthy as Speaker of the House of Representatives by introducing a motion to vacate, following the passage of a stopgap funding bill to prevent a government shutdown that was backed by the Democrats. Gaetz had previously threatened to remove McCarthy as House Speaker over the negotiations to prevent a government shutdown,

The dramatic indictment of Sen. But for New Jersey, the indictment raised a different question: Why can’t the Garden State shake its reputation as one of the corruption capitals of the U.S.?Of course, that reputation is partly the product of Hollywood hype, with films like On the Waterfront and TV shows like The Sopranos depicting the state as a hotbed of political duplicity and deceit.

Apparently, there are an increasing number of kids, with no physical or cognitive disabilities whatsoever, who are entering kindergarten without being potty-trained. This is hard to fathom. In the past, the vast majority of children were fully potty trained around three years old, give or take a couple of months. However, today kindergarten teachers often report to We Are Teachers that 15-20% of their classroom is not potty-trained, and that even a few first-graders are still in Pull-Ups.
