Utah Republican Sen. Mitt Romney is retiring, and no one is more upset than the very press that savaged him when he ran for president in 2012. They attacked his religion, his wife’s multiple sclerosis, and accused him of hating dogs and being a gay basher in high school. (snip) Now, more than a decade later, they celebrate Romney. Politico warned that, "Romney’s exit threatens a collapse of Senate’s middle." (snip) Lefty journalists manipulate every Republican primary to get the farthest left candidate they can find, Arizona Sen. John McCain, who they called a "maverick," both Bush presidents and Romney.

Romney never represented any voter, only Mitt Romney, which is why voters are celebrating his retirement. Purchasing Senate seats in states you don't live doesn't impress anyone.

there's no empathy for poodles romeny from Politico in that statement, all they're doing is citing the loss of a know nothing republican who will bend a knee to support the subversive element that wants control of this country to turn it into a North Korea or Communist China or a Soviet Russia or worse, a Theocracy like Iran or any of the other Stone Age countries in the Middle East

"The essential, important, noble and righteous, moderate Middle" label ONLY applies to those Repubs who vote consistently in agreement with Dems. There is generally a handful, some years TWO handfuls. Dems on the "Otherhand" generally only have TWO (Traitors) anymore, that occasionally vote with the Repubs. No ink/camera time is ever spent Lauding and Applauding their "Moderate Middle, essentiality and Nobility" Every Repub is at some point labeled" extreme right wing fringe", but even the few out and out admitted communists, and a dozen or more Proud Socialists that "caucus" with the Dems are NEVER called "Extreme left, or Fringe".

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has denied a motion last week by the University of North Texas to dismiss a lawsuit brought by a tenured professor and music theorist. The university launched an investigation, then paused the journal’s publication and eliminated funding for it. Jackson filed suit, alleging that the university had violated his First Amendment rights and defamed him.

Former President Donald Trump is leading President Biden across key battleground states, a Reuters/Ipsos survey found. Nationally, the survey found both 2024 contenders tied with 39 percent support each in a head-to-head matchup. However, Trump holds an advantage over Biden in key battleground states, which includes Pennsylvania, Georgia, Arizona, Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada, and North Carolina. Trump leads in the swing states with 41 percent to Biden’s 35 percent — a six percent advantage. That lead is well outside of the survey’s +/- 2 percent margin of error.

The Biden administration is setting a booby trap in case a Republican wins the presidency in 2024. On Friday, the White House unveiled a proposed rule that would make it even harder than in the past for an incoming Republican president to wrestle control of the left-leaning federal bureaucracy and actually implement the conservative policies promised to voters. Of the 2.2 million federal civil workers, only 4,000 are presidential appointees. The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them.
