Remember James Clapper and John Brennan? It's easy to forget given how much has transpired since both men consistently led the news throughout the Trump administration. At one time, though, their involvement in Crossfire Hurricane, otherwise known as the Russia collusion investigation was really big news.
For those less initiated, here's a quick refresher. Clapper was Barack Obama's DNI and has been credibly accused of lying to Congress. Meanwhile, Brennan is Obama's former CIA Director and has been credibly accused of doing the same. Both men lived on cable news after Trump's inauguration, making all kinds of wild, unsubstantiated claims related to nefarious Russian collusion supposedly committed by

Pope Francis engaged former U.S. President Bill Clinton via zoom Monday, stressing the urgency of addressing the climate change “catastrophe,” the migration “crisis,” and war. (snip) The pope reiterated his intention of releasing a second document on the environment later this month, eight years after the publication of his encyclical “Laudato Sì” on the same theme.
In late August, Francis said it is time (for) world leaders to “listen to science and institute a rapid and equitable transition to end the era of fossil fuel.” It is “absurd to permit the continued exploration and expansion of fossil fuel infrastructures,” he declared in his message for the September 1 Feast of Creation.

United Nations, (Reuters) - Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg announced on Wednesday he will pump $500 million into the next phase of his energy transition campaign, aiming to shut down "every last" coal plant in the United States and slash gas-fired capacity in half by 2030.
The $500 million infusion into his decade-long Beyond Carbon initiative aims to "finish the job on coal" by working with state and local organizations to force the closure of the roughly 150 coal plants that have not yet retired, slash current gas generation in half and block the construction of new gas-fired plants.

The Biden administration is setting a booby trap in case a Republican wins the presidency in 2024.
On Friday, the White House unveiled a proposed rule that would make it even harder than in the past for an incoming Republican president to wrestle control of the left-leaning federal bureaucracy and actually implement the conservative policies promised to voters. Of the 2.2 million federal civil workers, only 4,000 are presidential appointees. The rest stay in their jobs, from one administration to the next, protected by rules that make it nearly impossible to discipline or replace them.

The House Judiciary Republicans sent out an explosive letter on Tuesday night that CHANGES EVERYTHING!
The House Judiciary Republicans sent out a letter Tuesday that includes transcribed testimony from former Assistant Director-in-Charge of the Washington Field Office (WFO) Steven D’Antuono.
D’Antuono testified that the FBI had numerous confidential human sources (CHS) in the Trump crowd on January 6.
In fact, they had so many FBI operatives in the crowd they they had no idea how many were actually there that day!

Police returned articles of clothing to a Tanzanian fashion designer they obtained while executing a search warrant of disgraced ex-Department of Energy (DOE) official Sam Brinton's home.
The Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA) Police Department confirmed the clothes were returned to Asya Khamsin, who has alleged Brinton publicly wore clothing she designed, but which was in her bag she reported missing at Ronald Reagan National Airport years ago. In May, MWAA police officers executed a search warrant in connection with the case at Brinton's Maryland residence.

A group of migrant rushed an asylum office in southern Mexico, trampling over each in an attempt to demand legal documents.
The migrants, mostly Haiti nationals, were seen on video knocking down metal barricades and storming the office in Tapachula on Monday.
Some of the migrants were able to get past National Guard officers and the municipal police who were guarding the center, which is operated by the Mexican Commission for Refugee Aid. The group, which also includes migrants from Cuba and Honduras, have grown frustrated with the Mexican government's ability to process their asylum requests.
Papers that they're seeking would allow them to travel freely and eventually reach the United States

This is one very evil little man. No wonder Barack Obama wanted him on the US Supreme Court!
After indicting the leading presidential candidate in America on bogus, manufactured, partisan charges Merrick Garland had the nerve on Wednesday to compare his ancestors fleeing Eastern Europe during the Holocaust to his lawless targeting, indicting and imprisoning of conservative Americans.
Here is an example of lawless Merrick Garland’s record of tyranny:
** Hired a political hitman to take out Donald Trump.
** Launched a Special Counsel to investigate President Trump’s handling of classified documents

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged former President Donald Trump on Tuesday to release details of an apparent plan that the 2024 Republican presidential front-runner claims would end the war in Ukraine “within 24 hours.”
Trump, 77, has wildly bragged in several interviews and campaign events that if elected president next year, he would lead peace negotiations between Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin and have the conflict resolved within one day.
The ex-commander-in-chief, however, has refused to provide details about the approach he would take to end the nearly 19-month-long war.

Joe Biden on Wednesday participated in a bilateral meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in New York.
This is Joe Biden’s first meeting with Netanyahu since he was elected Prime Minister.
Recall, that Joe Biden first met with Israeli President Isaac Herzog over the summer as a snub to Netanyahu.
On the outset of their meeting, Joe Biden performed the sign of the Cross, a Christian gesture, as he sat across from Netanyahu.

Merrick Garland is testifying before the House Judiciary Committee.
His performance is a tour de force. It is difficult to imagine that anybody has consistently lied to Congress more and gotten away with it. Alejandro Mayorkas is in the running considering the sheer quantity of lies, but Garland beats Mayorkas by a mile when it comes to verbal dancing. Mayorkas is a plodding liar, while Garland is a master sophist, which is why Obama wanted him on the Supreme Court. It’s hard to say which of the two presents a greater danger to America. Mayorkas threatens our economy and our physical security as a nation; Garland wields a dagger that plunges into
