Have We Forgotten the Russian Way of War?

"I think I am not exaggerating when I say that the campaign against Russia has been won in fourteen days.” General Franz Halder, June, 1941, Chief of Staff, Oberbefehlshaber des Heeres Masters and commanders of history who have sworn that they have defeated an incompetent, disorganized, and corrupt Russian army are legion. For a time they seemed to have been correct. But there is a pattern to their encounters with the Russian army that is germane to the current Ukrainian offensive. In 1707, Swedish King Charles XII appeared like he could successfully invade Russia in the manner that he had defeated Russian armies.

Opinions on the Russia-Ukraine conflict are as befuddled as those concerning global temperature change and the covid pandemic. Our information sources are unreliable, opinion and conclusions altered endlessly. It is only obvious that war is stupid, as it has always been. Somebody is profiting from it, but not the people bearing the loss, injury and death.

Perhaps Russia is not losing our war of NATO expansion. There are pro-Russian channels - Military Summary Channel youtube, Simplicius76 bitchute, The Duran bitchute, RT.com , Patrick Lancaster, Col. MacGregor, and Scott Ritter - that seem to think Russia is winning. They annexed 4 provinces that voted to join Russia so we will have to come get them out of their cold dead hands. Bribes to the sons of Biden, Pelosi, Kerry and Romney and our Ukranian-Lithuanian compatriot Neocons got US into another forever war. I am against, and my solution is Donald J. Trump.

Brilliant analysis by VDH as we have come to expect. The Ukraine war is stupid and terribly costly but when both sides are led by madmen, logic is not part of the picture. Biden will continue to spend money that we don't have and thousands more people will die, eventually Americans, as we are drawn deeper into the war. The civilian analogy to this incredibly stupid engagement is if you have a football team populated with star players, you don't play the game by putting one or two stars at a time on the field, you play the whole first string all at once and overwhelm the opposition. That applies only if you want to win and not just move the ball around the field until the whistle blows.

What will happen if a Republican manages to overcome our corrupt election system to win the presidency in 2024? The pro war Democrats will surely become anti war in Ukraine, with threats to stop funding the war while leading anti war marches in DC. The corrupt LBJ, who left the country and Nixon with the Vietnam War, has been replicated by the equally corrupt FJB, who will leave the next president with the Ukraine Quagmire. And quite possibly the Taiwan, the North Korean and Iranian crises while having a depleted military to confront these problems Odd that Democrats aren’t chanting “Hey, hey, FJB, how many wars will we be in today”.

Our Defense Secretary’s Repeated Failures

The public face of our military is Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. Incompetent and corrupt best describe him. He is a shameless self-serving political hack, a former four-star general who now goes to work in a suit. Defense Secretary Austin was humiliated on the world stage by the Chinese Communist Party recently. He sought a meeting at an annual security forum in Singapore with his Chinese counterpart Li Shangfu, China’s new defense minister. From the Pentagon: “Overnight, the PRC (People’s Republic of China) informed the U.S. that they have declined our early May invitation for Secretary Austin to meet with PRC

Portland, Oregon, appears to have a serial killer on its hands, and the murderer’s biggest accomplice may be the governor who let him out of prison early. Before she left office, Governor Kate Brown commuted the sentences of people in prison who behaved well while under lock and key. She released others who she were near the end of their sentences, and chose to shorten the “sentences of 912 nonviolent inmates at risk of contracting COVID, granted 130 pardons, cleared death row, and wiped away cannabis possession convictions of nearly 50,000 people,” Willamette Week reported.

The consequences of avoiding reality are killing us … literally! American leaders and policy makers in the 21st century should have paid attention to the profound wisdom put forth by Ayn Rand in the last Millennium: “You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.” It pinpoints the basis for countless problems in America run by Democrats in recent years, clarifying why they occurred. Consider the following illustrations: 1. “You can avoid [the brain-dead] reality” of funding coronavirus gain-of-function research in a communist country whose long-term goal is to destroy you, “but you cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding [that] reality.”

Speaking at Turning Point USA’s ACTCON convention this past weekend, Roger Stone predicted that Michelle Obama will be the Democrat party’s nominee for president. He may be right. I certainly wouldn’t discount her being on the ballot or actually winning. Here’s Stone’s tweet with the video showing him making that prediction: Predicting the future is a notoriously tricky business, but I think that Stone’s prediction is at least plausible based on the known facts. In the short term, getting Biden out and Kamala in is reasonable on its face. Biden is degrading with exponential speed. It’s fine to keep him propped up in office to sign the necessary executive orders to advance

Hollywood once supported America and family values; it’s now antithetical to them. This means that many Americans are rooting for its collapse during a writers’ and actors’ strike over an industry change as significant and destructive as the advent of the car was to carriage makers. I’m a huge fan of pre-1960s movies, and I know a fair amount about the history of Hollywood. In Hollywood’s early years, the executives behind it were almost entirely Jewish immigrants who found a niche in a brand-new industry and filled it.

Public schools (I prefer the term “government schools”) in Democrat-run cities have become a racket, plundering taxpayers’ funds and failing to deliver even a minimally acceptable education. The fact that Americans spend more on their government schools than any other country, and yet our students place near the bottom of standardized achievement tests is all the proof that one needs. We are being cheated on a massive scale, and the future of the nation is in peril when large numbers of children, mostly but not exclusively minorities, are being condemned to law pay and social status because they are so innumerate and illiterate.

Word emerged the other day that Ray Epps is finally about to be charged for events on January 6, 2021. Sharp-eyed media consumers instantly noticed that, with this news, the mainstream media moved in unison to redefine their previous characterization of events on that day. Since the day Joe Biden took office, the administration has spent an inordinate amount of time, energy, and money to arrest and prosecute every random grandmother who took a picture inside the Capitol on January 6, ignoring the fact that Capitol police welcomed many into the building. The administration has also savaged the constitutional rights of some of those arrested by locking them up without bail

Either Hunter Biden is a delicate snowflake, or his legal team is beyond thin-skinned because the letter they sent to Donald Trump is laughable. He’s an easy target, and we got a window into his whacked-out life when the contents of his laptop got revealed. Essentially, Hunter’s lawyer told Trump to stop exercising his constitutional right to free speech because it could cause harm to Mr. Biden and his family (via ABC News):

The recently concluded riots in France are a dark omen for Europe and the wider Western world. The Algerian teenager whose killing lit the fuse has been likened to George Floyd, and indeed, there are striking parallels. Both were criminals who died while refusing to cooperate with law enforcement, for starters. But that is not the story Western audiences are getting from their press. Instead, they are told he is a martyr, a victim of wicked Europe. His blood is on the hands of post-colonial France. No one has bothered to ask the native French how they feel about their country coming under attack by hostile foreigners, of course.
Ten Reasons Why Affirmative Action Died 17 replies

The end of affirmative action was inevitable. The only surprise was that such intentions gone terribly wrong lasted so long. First, supporters of racial preferences always pushed back the goal posts for the program’s success. Was institutionalized reverse bias to last 20 years, 60 years, or ad infinitum? Parity became defined as an absolute equality of result. If “equity” was not obtained, then only institutionalized “racism” explained disparities. And only reverse racism was deemed the cure. Second, affirmative action was imposed on the back end in adult hiring and college admissions.

Massachusetts officials are now asking residents to take border crossers and illegal aliens into their homes as illegal immigration continues adding to the state’s homeless population. Gov. Maura Healey (D) is calling on residents with empty bedrooms in their homes and apartments to consider taking in border crossers and illegal aliens, WBUR reports: Massachusetts officials are seeking residents willing to host newly arrived families in need of shelter. Hosts are asked to provide a room or apartment for a few days, until longer-term accommodations can be arranged. [Emphasis added] A significant portion of the families in need of housing in the state are new immigrants.
