A Catastrophic Implosion . . . of the
Rule of Law

Original Article

Like some other commentators, I have in recent years several times quoted a famous exchange from Ernest Hemingway’s first novel, The Sun Also Rises. Recent developments in the Biden family money laundering scheme, the implosion of a boutique underwater expedition to the Titanic, and a possible coup in Russia prompt me to wheel it out once again. “‘How did you go bankrupt?’ Bill asked. ‘Two ways,’ Mike said. ‘Gradually, then suddenly.’” It fits the long-running drama over Hunter Biden’s laptop from hell, I think. Miranda Devine broke news of that scandal in the New York Post in the run-up to the 2020 presidential election.

It is not even debatable that we are no longer a "Nation of Laws." When there is no Rule of Law, bad things happen. There is no Rule of Law. Bad things are going to happen.

To maintain the Rule of Law, there has to be people in power who work to maintain it. I don't think these people exist in our country any longer.

If I were King I would divert all the money wasted on "climate change" and build a multitude of state of the art prisons (most of them in "blue states")...and start demanding that laws on the books be followed and if not, the perps arrested and prosecuted and those found guilty taken out of our society and sent to occupy all the new prisons. If I were King.

Obama often denigrated the constitution as an obstacle to his plans. For any democrat the rule of law is also an obstacle to their plans and dreams for us. I have to say, they've made a great deal of progress in making the rule of law a one sided affair to use against the republicans.

Karine Jean-Pierre: Racial preferences

Employing the euphemism “affirmative action,” President Biden’s press secretary claimed that there is a constitutional right to receive preferential treatment based on one’s race. She was discussing recent Supreme Court decisions on MSNBC with host Ari Melber, and made the extraordinary claim without citing any language in the Constitution – because of course there isn’t any to support her and, contrarily, language in the 14th Amendment that prohibits it. The bogus claim came a minute into a nearly 5 ½ minute, very friendly interview, and did not elicit any pushback from the host, or even any audible reaction to the claim.

While President Biden's spokespeople refuse to say whether the administration will be transparent with the American people about the results of the Secret Service investigation of the cocaine found in the West Wing on Sunday, those "involved" with the situation changed their story on Thursday. According to NBC News, "multiple officials involved in the White House cocaine inquiry now say the bag of powder was found in a cubby near the White House's West Executive entrance, not the formal West Wing lobby as was previously reported."

The discovery of a stash of cocaine in the White House became public because a hazmat team was sent in on the possibility that the white powdery substance might have been anthrax or some other deadly terror weapon. Were it not for the hazmat team’s highly visible and noteworthy arrival, I believe it is quite possible that the matter would have been handled with the discretion for which the Secret Service is famous (and notorious), protecting the privacy of the First Family. Now that we know about it, there are multiple signs that a coverup is underway to protect someone whom the Secret Service guards.

Horror writer Stephen King, when not spewing far left argle-bargle (a word I learned long ago from reading one of his novels) on Twitter, may exhibit a bit of common sense. He once said, “The trust of the innocent is the liar's most useful tool.” Was he referring to those innocent souls who trusted Christine or Cujo? Or to innocent Americans who foolishly listen to the ruling class liars, believing in truth, justice, and the American way? Do Americans still trust elections, whether local, state, or national? In 16 months, America “elects” a president. I would say a new president, but the top two contenders,

What is the ultimate verdict on a woman like not-a-real-doctor Jill Biden? She has for at least four years now, with help from the malevolent left, been a willing party to the installation of her brain-addled husband into the Oval Office. CBS News reports that Hunter Biden is getting new help from an old friend of the current regime — a development which many describe as a Deep State rescue operation for the Resident in Chief’s ne’er-do-well son. Former Virginia Republican Representative and senior technical advisor to the January 6th Select Committee Denver Riggleman confirmed the CBS report. Riggleman is proud to be working with Hunter Biden. In a Wednesday morning tweet, Riggleman, a former intelligence analyst, further explains his current position. “Truth Matters,” Riggleman tweets, “When I took this job, I wasn’t pro-Hunter or anti-Hunter. Dr. Werner Vogels, chief technology officer and vice president of Amazon, told the "AI for Good" global summit in Geneva this week that AI is helping rice farmers and other food producers around the world be much more efficient. However, he said AI will also play an important role in making sure food comes at a lower cost to the environment.

White House national security adviser Jake Sullivan claimed during a briefing on Friday that Ukraine will be careful with American-provided cluster bombs. Sullivan confirmed reports that President Joe Biden will supply Ukraine with cluster bombs, which much of the world has vowed not to use due to long-term effects on civilians. “We recognize that cluster munitions create a risk of civilian harm from unexploded ordinances. This is why we deferred the decision for as long as we could,” Sullivan said. However, he claimed that civilians could be harmed by potential Russian advances into Ukraine.

Maine may soon allow elective abortions up until birth, pending final approval from the state’s governor. The bill — H.P. 1044, An Act to Improve Maine’s Reproductive Privacy Laws — would allow a woman to receive a late-term abortion at any point if it is determined to be “necessary” by a doctor. It’s likely the legislation will be codified. Maine Governor Janet Mills, a Democrat, introduced the bill in January alongside legislative leadership, both also Democrats: House Speaker Rachel Talbot Ross and Senate President Troy Jackson. At the time, Mills credited the case of Maine woman Dana Peirce as justification for the expanded legalization of abortion.

An archbishop in the Church of England said the opening of the “Lord’s Prayer” is considered “problematic” to some people because the 2,000-year-old prayer starts by addressing God as “Our Father.” Archbishop of York Stephen Cottrell told the General Synod, the legislating and ruling body of the Church of England, that referring to God as “father” might be offensive to some people because of the negative connotations of patriarchy. “I know the word ‘father’ is problematic for those whose experience of earthly fathers has been destructive and abusive, and for all of us who have labored rather too much from an oppressively patriarchal grip on life,” Cottrell said,
