Hopefully Team Trump was reading here last year when we predicted the moves of the professionally Republican. Today, as predicted, Miami Mayor Francis Suarez files to run for the 2024 GOP nomination. He’s not running to win; he’s running to split. (snip)Here’s the Florida plan from the CLUB. ♦Carve out the largest voter population center of Miami-Dade from the GOP nomination (that’s what Suarez is for). ♦Change the Florida primary rules from the current ‘winner-take-all,’ so that delegates are distributed ‘proportionately’(snip). ♦Split the remainder of the state votes between DeSantis and Trump, permitting DeSantis to carry out delegates with a 2nd place finish.

FTA: Now watch two things. 1. Watch for the Florida delegate rule changes; and 2. Keep watching nationally for the moves of the Republican Governors Association (RGA). The Club plan requires the RGA to play a big role against Trump. The Republican Governors are under pressure to align with the program. The RGA is funded and controlled by the same donors to Ron DeSantis.

It isn't hard enough for Trump to run against crooked Democrats, he has to run against crooked Republicrats too. All of which make my vote for Trump even more certain.

it is rumored that a "gentleman" at the local watering hole dive bar will ask for an expanded stage before committing to a presidential run. My guess is another "gentleman" is garnishing the necessary votes to be the VP candidate. North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum should be shaking in his boots.

This move will dilute the non-Tump candidates . The strategy won't work but a lot of money will be spent on ads and travel and some people will be happy about it.

I thought it was weird that the Mayor's wife, who is admittedly an attractive and well-spoken representative of the Mayor, was the guest on Fox News at 12 midnight (et). Why Mayor Suarez couldn't appear is beyond me. And anyway, the VP Choice for Trump or DeSantis, if either is the nominee, will not be another resident of the State of Florida. There's problems with electoral votes under the 11th amendment.

Commenter Amanda R has provided a link to an Off-Guardian article that goes over the poisoning of former Russian intelligence officer Sergei Skripal and his 33-year-old daughter Yulia with a nerve agent. This was loudly proclaimed in the West to be a Russian hit, ordered by Vladimir Putin. The article, dated in July, 2018, The Rapidly Evolving Skripal Story: Evidence of the Destruction of an Anglo-American Plan provides an overview of the collapse of this narrative—for those who had the patience to wade throught the torrent of government disinformation. Nevertheless, the episode had the intended effect of leading to a wave of government sponsored anti-Russian hysteria in the West,

MIAMI – After Gov. Ron DeSantis said he wishes he could have been with Jesus’s disciples, critics had “Judas” memes trending on Twitter on Friday evening. DeSantis made the statement during an interview with David Brody that aired Friday on The Christian Broadcasting Network’s The 700 Club.“These guys all went out and they dedicated their lives to spreading the gospel,” DeSantis said, later adding, “I look back at that and would love to have been able to be there with them.”

In what some Republican leaders are calling a classic case of cutting off your nose to spite your face, President Joe Biden could lose his own party nomination to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in New Hampshire’s historically important primary in the race for the presidency. Biden’s successful push to re-calendar New Hampshire’s long-standing First in the Nation primary, making it second to South Carolina, means the president’s name will likely not appear on the state’s Democrat primary ballot. Both Republican and Democrat leaders in New Hampshire have meanwhile vowed not to yield to the schedule change and have cited a state law that prohibits the move anyway.

In case you had any lingering doubts that forcibly shutting down the entire economy over a virus and replacing economic activity with government payments does not represent a smart strategy, the Associated Press has more evidence to bolster the case. Its latest investigation, titled “The Great Grift,” highlighted the staggering scope of fraud taxpayers face because of Covid-era programs. On the heels of earlier AP investigations that showed significant spending on projects that had little to do with the coronavirus, the story provides one major explanation — albeit an infuriating one — for our nearly $32 trillion-and-counting federal debt.
