No Dodging the Democrats’ Degradation,

You would think a team named “Dodgers” would know how to dodge a culture war battle they can’t win (see: Target, Bud Light), but no, the Los Angeles Dodgers managed to get picked off in the most embarrassing fashion in a pickle-style rundown entirely of their own ineptitude. Surely the conservative (and Catholic) O’Malley family that used to own the Dodgers—before the onerous estate tax forced the family to sell the team back in the 1990s after Peter O’Malley died—are rolling in their graves. But there’s a larger lesson here. Back in 1984 I attended the Democratic National Convention in San Francisco as a credentialed reporter

I don’t watch MLB anymore. That said I was an avid Braves fan for years. Before the Braves, I was a Brooklyn Dodgers fan. Hodges, Snider, Reese, Campanella, Robinson. When they left, I became a Giants fan especially a Willy Mays fan. I have given up now. I know that the players have to follow the big money but they have caused me to completely lose interest. Throw in “Pride Night” and that’s it’s for me.

Is There a Polite Way to Handle the Pronoun Madness? 26 replies

One of the most maddening things about modern culture is the whole issue of pronouns. At the very least, it’s annoying that some people trumpet their pronouns, choosing to base their identity on how people address them when talking about them behind their backs. But it’s even worse the way some people freak out over people using the wrong pronouns as if other people have nothing better to do than keep up with what everybody’s pronouns are at any given moment. Prounoun obsession is the ultimate form of narcissism; it’s entirely self-focused to think that everyone should bend to the whim of what you want to call yourself.
Crisis of Stupidity: Kamala Bemoans ‘Climate

Vice President Kamala Harris took time off from avoiding her duties as border czar to give a speech to the graduating class at West Point Military Academy on Saturday. Amidst compliments to the military and an acknowledgment of the threat of China, Kamala also scare-mongered about the fake “climate crisis” and touted artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR). You can always count on Kamala to have her priorities straight. Kamala’s speech was overall patriotic and pro-military — she even talked about the oath U.S. officers take to the Constitution. It rings hollow, however, from a Vice President whose administration is responsible for the horrendously catastrophic Afghanistan withdrawal,

Internet purveyors of Social Justice™ race hate recently went hog-wild over an alleged pregnant physician’s assistant’s theft of a city e-bike from innocent urban youths. The main antagonist, The Young Turks’ Rashad Richey, blasted the woman’s name and her place of employment onto the web and explicitly called for her firing. He even put the CEO of her hospital on screen and appealed directly to him to dispose of her in his segment, which he titled, “Karen Weaponizes White Tears To Hijack Black Man’s E-Bike.” Being the cowardly organization that it is, NYC Health + Hospitals suspended its employee before apparently bothering to look into the case at all.

Parents of the students who attend the Nashville Christian school where Audrey Hale killed six people back in March have been seeking to prevent the release of Hale’s writings which have been repeatedly referred to as a manifesto. "Attorney Eric Osborne, who says he’s representing 100 of the 112 families at the Christian elementary school, told the court on Monday parents fear the killers’ manifesto could lead to another massacre. “Writings like this tend to inspire additional school shootings,” Osborne said, adding that the safety of the school and others like it were at the forefront of the families’ concerns… However, attorney Robb Harvey, representing The Tennessean media outlet

Rachel Rogers was employed as a sales associate at the Lululemon store in Peachtree Corners, Ga., for five years. But after the same group of looters attacked the store for the fourth or fifth time, making off with thousands of dollars in merchandise, she called 911. Assistant Manager Jennifer Ferguson described the scene. “All of a sudden we see some gentlemen run into the store in masks and hoodies,” Ferguson said, “They swiped until they couldn’t hold any more product and ran out the door.” But a week later, Rogers was fired. She had apparently run afoul of a company policy that had a “zero tolerance” for calling 911. Certainly one can

Florida prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for a ‘demonic’ MS-13 gang member who decapitated an Uber Eats driver. A convicted felon affiliated with MS-13, a street gang formed by Salvadoran immigrants, murdered, decapitated and dismembered a Florida Uber eats driver while he was making a delivery last month. Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said the remains of the delivery driver were found in trash bags inside of the MS-13 gang member’s home. “This is demonic,” Nocco said during a press conference on Tuesday. “What he did was demonic, but at the same time, we couldn’t answer the question ‘Why?’.” According to reports, the Uber driver, Randall Cooke, 59, was last heard from

In 2023, we are just now entering the deadliest phase of the opioid crisis. Driven by a powerful synthetic opioid known as fentanyl, this is not just another chapter in the pharmaceutical and over-prescription scandal. During the last three years, prescription opioids were dispensed at the lowest levels in nearly 15 years, while overdose deaths have skyrocketed to record levels. In 2021, the United States hit a grim new milestone of 107,000 drug overdose deaths, with fentanyl accounting for nearly 70% of those deaths. Like so many other states, Minnesota, where I served as sheriff of its largest county, was not immune from this trend. Over that same period,

Only a country that has lost the will to survive would tolerate the invasion underway all across America. There is no longer a southern border to speak of. From Arizona to Maine, towns are under siege by a relentless, surging mass of humanity. These newcomers are an enormous, indefinite strain on public resources, which must provide schooling, housing, healthcare, and food. They bring unnecessary and unwanted violence and crime. For many years before the climate change cult started to embrace electric vehicles as the thing that would save all of us from certain climate doom, the alarmists were in love with “light rail.” Taking a train somewhere instead of driving or flying was going to make the climate safer for everybody — or something. The love of light rail is alive in France with a new policy that bans short domestic flights when passengers have the option to take a train. But, as is par for the course when the climate crazies get to make policy, it’s not convenient for some travelers. “The move is aimed at reducing airline emissions

Democrats seem to labor under the delusion that the rest of us long to spend time with them, that we’d be lost without their nagging or just their smell. When there are long stretches of time without some Karen screaming about how you should wear a mask at the park or use whatever pronouns they or their kid “decided” they felt like on that day, no one misses them. Life is better without all of them. So when you see groups from the Alphabet Mafia – the NAACP, the LGBTQRSTUVWXYZ “community,” etc. – telling fellow leftists to stay out of somewhere I say GREAT, stay the hell away.

If the shocking 2016 presidential election of Donald J. Trump taught us anything, it should be that voters can still be unpredictable and unpollable, and that millions of them believe that the entrenched elites from both political parties no longer hear their voices or speak for them. Voters are continually seeking a new champion. Will Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. become such a champion? I believe so — at least as far as the Democratic primary process is concerned. When that process is final and all the votes from the primaries and caucuses have been tabulated, I believe Kennedy will emerge as the Democratic nominee for president in 2024.

McCarthy has argued that while some Republicans were unhappy with the concessions in the agreement, there is "not one thing in the bill for Democrats." One of the Republicans’ concessions, however, included removing work requirements for social programs like Medicaid and
