Melania Trump on Sunday broke her silence for the first time since her husband’s indictment and arrest, while hubby Donald delivered a blistering message to critics.
“Happy Easter!” the former first lady tweeted above a photo of a pink rose, the first time she has posted something online since the Manhattan criminal firestorm engulfing her husband took off.
Melania was notably even absent from her husband’s post-arraignment speech at their Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last week.
At Mar-a-Lago Tuesday night, Trump made his first public comments hours after becoming the first commander-in-chief in US history to be arraigned on criminal charges.
“I have a great family and they’ve done a fantastic job

Gramted, Melania’s absence from her husband’s side in New York for his arraignment, her absence at his Mar-a-Lago post-arraignment speech, and her husband not including her name while praising his supportive family members did give pause for thought, however, her father was at the event in Mar-a-Lago and that suggests President Trump has his wife’s and her family’s support.
The speculated tension this indictment has caused in their marriage may be just that—speculation. There are other possibilities for Melania’s absence and her husband not mentioning her name might be his way of loving respect for her in not wanting to sully her name and/or presence in a sordid accusation that he insists is not true. Other possibilities for her absence that day and the past several days may be due to personal family circumstances that might include Barron, her aging mother, or her sister.
In past years there were gossip columnists known for rumors, insinuation, and assertions of scandalous behavior about personal lives but in more recent years, such “opinions” have been woven into news stories as though the “opinions” are facts. Astute readers would do well to “consider the source” of news articles before accepting their content as factual.

Any good wife would be delighted to learn about her husband's dalliances with a porn star and a Playboy bunny.

People should stop posting these dumb articles on Melania hiding or whatever like they know something beyond their intuition.

Melania might be disgusted with what the U S has become. i wouldn't blame her as i feel the same way. after all this has been going on since 2016 election in one form or another. btw she was very much in view at MAL at the dinner after indictment announced.

The article is pure speculation and is much like when individuals get together with friends to discuss politics only with a very snarky and mean-spirited tilt. In other words, it’s gossip.
If we have witnessed the unprecedented assault on President Trump and are angry, just imagine Melania’s response. She is no shrinking violet and understands exactly what is happening. President Trump wants to protect her and I believe that was his intent when she was not present. Her father was her show of support.
One reason I am supporting President Trump is because democrats have zero regard for anything they do to anyone. Honorable people would compete on the field of ideas. Unfortunately, the ideology of the democrat party is so vile and anti-American all they have is personal attacks. Theirs is the party of lies and lawlessness. Never underestimate how low they will go because there is no depth they will not descend to, no lie they will not tell, no ballot box they will not stuff in order to win. When you do not have the support of the majority of people, that is the only game you can play.

For those who are speculating Melania will divorce President Trump, remember many of us thought Hillary would dump Bill ... and didn't. Murdoch has told the NY Post to go negative on Trump because Murdoch is funding DeSantis.

Agree with #2 poster. The best Trump can do at this point is to keep Melania out of this as much as possible. Do not taint her by linking her to that skank Stormi Daniels who is making a living helping the Dems.

Not sure any wife would want to be involved in a mess like Donald's. My thought is h wouldn't have paid her off if "nothing happened". Wives all over the country understand where there's smoke, there probably is fire and Melania is a Smart Lady. She may choose to stay with him, but she doesn't have to get down in the dirt of this mess in NY. Also, #8, I would be interested where you saw Murdoch is funding DeSantis. I live in Florida. The News here keeps a close watch on DeSantis and I haven't seen anywhere that Murdoch or the Bush Family are funding the Governor. So, I'm not saying they're not, I'm just wondering how the local News People missed that!

#10 Re: "I would be interested where you saw Murdoch is funding DeSantis."
Sundance at Conservative Treehouse does extensive research on politics. If you do a "DeSantis Murdoch" search on CTH, you'll come up with many articles. Here's one of the latest:

Sorry but I don't agree #10 that he wouldn't have paid if nothing happened. Donald and Melania are not the average couple living next door. You don't think that all kinds of women will say and do anything to try and get a well known man like Donald Trump with his billions in a position where he has to pay them off to keep them quiet about - nothing? Have you forgotten all those women that came out of nowhere to claim a sexual relationship when Herman Cain ran for President or the bogus charges made against then Admiral Ronny Jackson when he was nominated by Trump to be Secretary of the VA? All those allegations were lies.

#12 Add Judge Kavanaugh to your list.
Trump has denied an affair with Stormy -- I believe him -- and Stormy denied an affair in writing. She's now trying to recant, but she's a proven liar herself, as well as her lawyers.

The difference is Herman Cain, Ronny Jackson, and Brett Kavanaugh didn't give 6-figure payouts to their accusers. No one in their right mind would give someone money to keep quiet about something that never happened. Quite the opposite, they would tell them to go pound sand. Within that context I agree with #10......SOMETHING happened between these 2 to result in a 6-figure payoff.
However, I couldn't care less about Trump's personal life or what took place between him and the skank. I cared about his administration's policies, and there is no denying his policies worked. He is a master problem solver and I'll vote for him again given the opportunity.

Give me a break...the speculation by the fake media that Melania wasn't there or mentioned in his speech...is a search by the media for trouble for President Trump...I really don't care...all that worries me is that the family will be harmed by the rat loonies...physically....if I had a teenage son...I would try and protect him as Melania does...

The Merriam-Webster definition of “speculate” means: “to meditate on or ponder a subject; reflect; review something idly or casually and often inconclusively”
While this particular article does not “speculate” on the marriage of Melania and President Trump, there have been numerous articles recently noting Melania’s absence from her husband’s side in New York as well as his post-arraignment speech at Mar-a-Lago which, collectively, makes clear that those publications are purposeful beyond simply reporting “news.” The implication, the “speculation” appears to be that something may be amiss in their marriage. Sensationalism sells news.
In a Newsweek article written by Katherine Fung (Everything Melania Trump’s Said About Stormy Daniels – 4-7-23), regarding President Trump’s alleged affair with Stormy Daniels, Melania had this to say: "It is not concern and focus of mine," she told ABC's Good Morning America in October 2018. "I'm a mother and a first lady and I have much more important things to think about and to do. I know people like to speculate and media like to speculate about our marriage and circulate the gossip. ... Adding that she "believes her husband," she said, "I know what is right and what is wrong and what is true or not true."
