While I actually haven’t personally heard anyone blame God when they lost a close one in a tragedy, it’s a timeworn message in fiction novels. The protagonist wails against God when tragedy occurs or sometimes we read the words of an atheist shouting, “Where was God when the tsunami (earthquake, cyclone, hurricane, mass shooting, etc.) killed thousands? If there was a God, wouldn’t He have stopped this?”
The truth is, God is an unlikely scapegoat and if one reads the Bible, especially the Old Testament, one would give Him the benefit of the doubt.

Much of the time, humans are the culprits for tragedies. Poor engineering, sinful lives, justice not executed... These are not the fault of God.

Who in their right mind would blame God for this constant beat down. The democrats are experts at creating crisis and never let a crisis go to waste. They created Covid. They created the problems they created the shutdown. They opened borders which created more homelessness and fetynal related addiction and deaths. They got rid of our police. They opened the prisons. They put degenerates in charge of the government. They closed our schools. They put our children in danger. They created our shortages by many ways including shutting down the pipeline. They take away our right to speak. They claim everything is racist related, even the word field. They put rapists in women’s locker rooms, shelters and prisons. They throw you in prison for just saying the wrong thing..

I have this hanging in my dining room, "God doesn't give us what we can handle, God helps us handle what we are given" because I firmly believe there is a mindset out there that God is the blame for all of this. Nope, since Adam and Eve, God has been having to clean up the messes caused by us humans. It usually involves God's adversary. . .

It's the devil's world. God created it all, but there's a conflict going on between God and the fallen angels, led by Satan. God does not directly interfere with man's freewill, which is why there's evil running amuck in the world, and when things get really bad, God has been known to set off a volcano, or let loose a tsunami. Man is supposed to manage his own house and keep things tidy, per the Mosaic Law's rules of governance (minus the theocracy part). History shows us that when man departs from God and His ways that bad things happen to man. It's not God causing bad things, it is man inheriting the evil of the devil's world and foregoing the protection of God.

God is sovereign, and that means something.

Our Creator doesn't really ask so very much from us. To love Him above all things, and to love our neighbor. To guide us along the way He gave us ten basic rules for living together in community, and nine "be attitudes" to hold within our hearts. He even took on human flesh and became one of us in order to conquer evil and death. The iniquity and perfidy of all humanity has been redeemed. The Victory has been secured on Calvary's hill. We who are living on earth today are the rear-guard action; fighting clean-up against the dead-enders as we await the promised Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
Many times in the last two thousand years the world has come to the point of disintegration where the population has thought the Second Coming was at hand, but survived to evolve into a different epoch of civilization. Some times it was for the better, other times it was for the worse. In the past it seemed to happen to civilizations that were isolated in specific places upon the earth; Maya, Incas, Greece, Rome. However, today it is a world-wide event happening in every country, in every region of the earth. It gives a Christian good reason to go down on one's knees. Pray, dear Patriots, read and meditate on Holy Scripture. In God We Trust.

Some people make a mess of their lives, by their own stupid decisions, and then blame God.

Don’t blame it on God. Blame it on Mother Nature. She can be quite nasty.

What #6 said...'it is man inheriting the evil of the devil's world and foregoing the protection of God'...read The Harbinger by Jonathan Cain...it tells the story of what is happening...we have forgotten our religious roots and God has removed protection from our country because of our immorality...9/11 was the breaking of the dam protecting us....

We should be thanking God that things are not a lot worse, given how the human race has been behaving lately. America claims to be "one nation, under God" but that notion is long gone.

Saw this once and never forgot it: "Order is peace. Peace is love. Love is God." God is order and the devil is chaos. Simple. Our chaotic world is becoming more and more Godless and more and more chaotic. It is stunning to see what is going on in some of our classrooms. Once upon a time, you would be chastised for chewing gum. The chaos comes from the devil. Not God's fault. Get God's order back and you will have peace.
Notice of late that we are reading about the threat of World War III
(that's like a hot fudge sundae with whipped cream and fudge sauce to the devil).

Speaking as a catholic...and BTW...attendance yesterday at my church was amazing...I think the balloon scare had something to do with it....I sometimes find myself angry at God for what WE must endure...but...think of it as a test of the participants...say nervous nancy...who called in a priest to exorcise her San Fran home of demons because she's worried about her life's accomplishments...and all the babies she killed....

Just because Job said, "the Lord gives and the Lord takes" does not make it true, anymore than the Pharisees' declaration that Jesus was satan was true.
Job was not a prophet or judge speaking for God, just a guy trying to explain his suffering.

2 Corinthians 4:4, NLT says
"Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe."
Since Satan is 'god of this world', wouldn't this world, by definition, be hell itself??
God allows this to happen, free will notwithstanding, just as God allowed Satan to torment Job.
Job 1:12, 2:6

The ten commandments are clear. The sermon on the mount's laws are clear. How wonderful we could live if we could obey.

The Book says that God put man in ''charge'' of the Garden. So blame Adam and pretend you have a lick of sense or upbringing!
