Earlier today, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell discussed the greatest problem for the Republican Party as it exists with voters. Allowing people to vote is not in the best interests of the Republican Party. If the politicians could just devise a government system that didn’t need voters to support it, things would be much better.
As noted by Mitch McConnell, “Our ability to control the primary outcome was quite limited in 2022 because of the support of the former president. Hopefully in the next cycle, we’ll have quality candidates everywhere.”

You had extremely qualified candidates this time - you just didn't like them because your anti Trump trumps what is best for the country so you let the dems take the senate again. Have you thought of retiring, Mitch. It's time.

Problem is, we gotta keep Mitch for at least a year and change.
Right now, the governor of Kentucky is a Democrat. He's not going to appoint a Republican even if we held his momma hostage.
The Kentucky governor election is in Nov. 2023. If the Republicans can win the seat back, then Mitch can retire and count his gold like Scrooge McDuck.

So he’s saying people like Liz Cheney and Kelly Loefler are quality candidates? An America First Blake Masters was not a quality candidate? Mitch wants to go back to the good old days where Republicans bend over and take it up their butts from the Democrats everyday and enjoy it. Get along go along damn the American people.

"Our ability to control..."
The citizen voters should control the primary outcome. The GOPe-y RINOs like him who tried to control the outcome F'ed it all up. Work harder on rooting out the Demzi corruption in voting and the people will take care of the rest.

Yeah, that's why so many good candidates won primaries and we saw that the Evil China Mitch fought hard to defeat them, both in the primaries and the election.

Yeah, like Mitch's "ideal candidate" Joe O'Dea in Colorado who needlessly shot himself in the foot disavowing Trump, and lost to Michael Bennett by 17 points.

Didn't seem like they really tried.
Sending out dozens of e-mails, most of which ended up in the spam folder, on a daily basis, does not constitute a means of controlling the message.
Democrats barely campaigned and they won in critical areas of the country.
Tax cuts aren't a winning solution either. Despite Democrats having the majority of the 1%, they still bash Republicans as being the party of the rich.

McConnell is the perfect example of the greatest problem we have with congress today. They are servants who serve at the behest and will of the people, who think they are some kind of medieval lords that rule over the people at the behest of the money changers.

Really Mitch? Because the Democrats didn't have any problem controlling their outcomes w/ "quality" candidates like a wife beater and an incoherent stroke victim in knee pants.

You had quality candidates, you POS. You just didn’t like them because they were (gasp!) populists, and not easy for you to control. But, you sure took care of that, didn’t you? I hope you rot, and then hang.

What McConnell is really saying is that his ability to control which Republicans get into the Senate and which don’t got challenged in the midterms. He made sure that funding was removed from candidates he didn’t like regardless of what the voters wanted. He’s been in DC way too long and has assumed powers he should not have. The Republicans are too gutless to take him on. He needs to be seriously primaried and removed.

Yeah, he endorsed people WE wanted to vote for, not who you wanted to run. People that would not have obeyed you and kissed your feet are not what you want in the Senate. Go away Turtle, you and your corruption are starting to really stink.

This is a political pro putting the facts on the table. FPDT got his "quality candidates" through the primaries - and none had any appeal to speak of. That's not to say FPDT "lost" the election with his endorsed candidates, but take note: He didn't win with them, either.
