Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day is like a blip on the radar for most Americans, and that is a tragedy. Not only did incredible stories emanate from the surprise attack by the Japanese on December 7, 1941—a day which still lives in infamy—but incredible feats of heroism through people like Dorie Miller and the birth of the United States of America as a global superpower would not have occurred had we not been compelled to enter World War II. It was a turning point and an avenue of rich history. The dead buried under the sea, and the few remaining fighting men who embody that history

I was stationed at Hickam some 35 years ago and Dec 7th was still a big deal and there were still a lot of survivors that showed up for the ceremony at the flag pole and flyover at 0700 in the morning on the 7th. I was talking to one gentleman who pointed to a building and said that during the attack he was right over there banging away with his .45 Automatic at Zero’s and torpedo bombers headed for Pearl. He had a gleam in his eye that spoke pride of having been there and in the fight. Many of the buildings and hangers still bore the scars of war proudly wearing cannon shell holes from the strafing attacks. Hickam was and hopefully still is perhaps the most beautiful base we ever had.

My mother was living in Navy housing at Pearl Harbor on that day. She was 15, in High School. She said the most chilling thing she remembers was her mother and other mom's talking about what they would do if the Japanese landed on the island. She said after what the Japanese had done in Shanghai, raping and murder, some of the mom's said they would kill their daughters before giving them up to the soldiers. War truly is Hell.

I happened to meet a woman last Tuesday, December 6th. She told me her father survived the attack on his barracks because he was on his way to morning Mass. Just sayin. AMDG

Last week, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis reportedly told a meeting of the Republican Party of Florida that his team would be looking for ways to hold the COVID-19 vaccine makers accountable for side effects and health problems tied to their products. Specifically, DeSantis cited a study by the Florida Department of Health (FDOH) under Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo that showed an increased risk for cardiac arrest in men 18-39. Now it appears Ladapo’s agency is conducting another study. On an episode of the We the Patriots podcast with Teryn Gregson,

On one hand, I am grateful that I don’t have to worry about what might happen to my kids at school. On the other hand, I still worry about what might happen to my grandkids, who are still in school. One does not need to do a comprehensive internet search to find examples of teachers and school board members promoting objectionable ideologies or subjecting students to prurient and illegal sexual activities. I’ll leave that search to you if you think you can do it and still keep your lunch down. Our latest inductee into the Educator’s Hall of Shame is one Steven Llanusa.

He was 61. "Mike was a giving and attentive husband, father and grandfather," his family said in a statement. "He was able to participate in organ donation at UMMC as a final act of charity. Montana Family Court Corruption Runs Deep

Millions of Americans love tuning into Yellowstone on Paramount, a drama starring Kevin Costner that not only highlights the natural beauty of Montana but also exposes a seedy underbelly of corruption, murder, and intrigue that stretches from the ranchers to the politicians and even into the courts. But fiction may not be so far from reality when it comes to the family court system in Montana. One name continues to come up in my inbox repeatedly: Standing Master Magdelena Bowen. In Montana, standing masters (SM) are appointed by district judges to lighten their caseloads by foisting complicated family court matters onto the SM instead of the elected judges.

The trial of January 6 protester Jeremy Brown took place at the Middle District Court in Tampa, FL this week. The Gateway Pundit reporter Brian Lupo attended the trial. Jeremy has been locked up since September 2021, for over 450 days, after FBI agents raided his home. Jeremy was approached to work as an operative for the FBI in December 2020 at the January 6 protests in Washington DC. He refused the FBI and spoke out about their proposal. So, seven months later the FBI arrested Jeremy at his home in Florida. The attorney for Jeremy Brown, Mr. Roger Futerman, alleged on Wednesday that the FBI “planted” evidence

Special Counsel Jack Smith’s team of lawyers is DOUBLE the size of Mueller’s (Weissmann’s) team. Mueller had a team of a dozen angry Democrats and Hillary Clinton donors harassing Trump for two years. Jack Smith, who is tied closely to the Obamas, has more than 20 lawyers harassing Biden’s political opponent. “Smith takes over a staff that’s already nearly twice the size of Robert Mueller’s team of lawyers who worked on the Russia probe.  A team of 20 prosecutors investigating January 6 and the effort to overturn the 2020 election are in the process of moving to work under Smith, according to multiple people familiar with the team.” CNN reported.

For over two years, the statue of Christopher Columbus in Philadelphia’s Marconi Plaza has sat inside a massive plywood box. As protests over the death of George Floyd and other racially tinged incidents roiled the nation, the city constructed a large box to cover the Columbus statue. Mayor Jim Kenney, a Democrat (what a shock), wanted to get rid of the statue, ostensibly in the name of public safety, and started the ball rolling to remove the statue, which has been in place since 1876. The city placed a notice on the statue that read: Notice by City of Philadelphia: The Christopher Columbus statue has been a source of controversy in Philadelphia

Republican support for Donald Trump's presidential bid in 2024 has cratered, an exclusive USA TODAY/Suffolk University Poll finds, as the former president is beleaguered by midterm losses and courtroom setbacks. By 2-1, GOP and GOP-leaning voters now say they want Trump's policies but a different standard-bearer to carry them. While 31% want the former president to run, 61% prefer some other Republican nominee who would continue the policies Trump has pursued. They have a name in mind: Two-thirds of Republicans and those inclined to vote Republican want Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis to run for president. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is fast emerging as a top 2024 presidential contender capable of beating both Donald Trump and President Joe Biden, an early election poll suggested on Tuesday.  The new USA Today/Suffolk University survey shows that a majority of GOP voters want Trump to pass the torch to the 44-year-old Republican governor - despite having declared his own third White House campaign last month. And while the ex-president trails Biden in a theoretical head-to-head rematch, DeSantis holds a narrow lead over the Democrat of about four points.

Washington - Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm announced a "major scientific breakthrough" Tuesday in the decades-long quest to harness fusion, the energy that powers the sun and stars. Researchers at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California for the first time produced more energy in a fusion reaction than was used to ignite it, something called net energy gain, the Energy Department said. The achievement will pave the way for advancements in national defense and the future of clean power, Granholm and other officials said. "This is a landmark achievement for the researchers and staff at the National Ignition Facility who have dedicated their careers to seeing fusion ignition become

Earlier today, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell discussed the greatest problem for the Republican Party as it exists with voters. Allowing people to vote is not in the best interests of the Republican Party. If the politicians could just devise a government system that didn’t need voters to support it, things would be much better. As noted by Mitch McConnell, “Our ability to control the primary outcome was quite limited in 2022 because of the support of the former president. Hopefully in the next cycle, we’ll have quality candidates everywhere.”

The news outlet feted Fetterman, whose usual attire on the campaign trail involved a hoodie, basketball shorts, and sneakers, as a lawmaker that “is going to bring Carhartt to the Capitol,” a reference to the US workwear apparel company.
