West Virginia Hates Sen. Manchin Now

Original Article

Posted By: Hazymac, 11/23/2022 7:17:37 PM

Senator Manchin’s dirty ‘Inflation Increase Act’ deal, its betrayal of coal country, army of IRS agents, and inflationary spending has paid off some of his backers and made Bill Gates very happy. Gates was described as having personally lobbied Senator Manchin and Schumer in “anticipation of a rare moment in which significant federal dollars might be secured for the clean-energy transition.” Billions of those dollars, ripped out of the hands of truck drivers, veterans and small businessmen, will have been “secured” for Gates and his ventures. The Microsoft founder was described as having “tapped into a relationship with Manchin that he’d cultivated for at least three years”.

Comments:

The duplicitous Manchin wears it well.

Manchin made a career ending decision to allow himself to be wooed by corrupt liars who knew how to stroke Manchin’s overinflated ego. He proved he’s a fool by trusting Schumer. He’s representing a mostly red State who were duped because he did a commercial with jeans on holding a rifle (or some ridiculous political ad like that). He probably joined the NRA and charged the fee to his campaign. Now they all know who he really is. He’s toast.

Having been to West Virginia, which is like traveling back to 1986, I cannot explain how any Democrat gets elected there. I often listen to classic rock streaming from WMTD, a tiny radio station out of Hinton, WV. They still edit out the cusswords in rock songs on that station, and have church-oriented shows on Sunday morning. I find it absolutely charming.

Manchin is a survivor. He will not give up that Senate seat and the perks associated. The January surprise will be Manchin going independent, because the Dems screwed him over, and he will caucus with the Republicans so he can continue to have every piece of legislation go through him. Ego driven!

Well West Virginia, there is a solution for that. But I doubt you could find it even with two hands and a flash light. Manchin will slither back from DC, sweet talk you you with his good ole blue collar boy charm, and you will fall for it just like every time before. And then when he goes back to DC to his mistress, you will cry into your pillow every night.

Manchin retained his senate seat in 2018 with just 49% of the vote in a three way contest. Trump carried West Virginia with 68% of the vote in both 2016 and 2020 with all 55 counties being red. After Trump left office, Manchin voted to impeach him in the Pelosi show trial. I live in West Virginia, and can tell you Manchin will not survive his 2024 reelection effort.

I lived in WV for 9 years in the late 80’s/early 90’s when the state was solid blue because of the coal miners’ unions. Then, along came 0bama and Hillary, both of whom vowed to destroy the coal industry. Now the state is solid red. Don’t discount the intelligence or will of the people of WV.

Joe Biden is in Nantucket for Thanksgiving, staying at the home of one of his billionaire friends. Reuters ran a story noting that a lot of Americans don’t think this is such a good thing, especially not as they look forward to 2024. "Some Americans have concerns about the advanced age of the two most likely 2024 candidates. While 71% of Democrats think Biden is “mentally sharp and able to deal with challenges,” 46% say he may not be up to the challenge of running in 2024, according to a Reuters/Ipsos poll taken Nov. 8 and 9. A bit of background: Taibbi published a video produced by Matt Orfalea detailing the misinformation campaign used to discredit the Hunter Biden laptop just prior to the 2020 election. Every Mainstream Media outlet pushed the Narrative™ that the New York Post’s reporting on the laptop was simply a repetition of Russian misinformation. The FBI encouraged Facebook to censor the video–that is straight from Mark Zuckerberg–and all social media outlets followed the diktat from the Establishment™ to downplay and debunk the story as false.

When I wrote about the climate “loss and damage pact” yesterday, I noted that Climate Czar John Kerry distanced himself from the term “reparations.” The US and other developed nations have long sought to avoid such provisions that could open them up to legal liability and lawsuits from other countries. And in previous public remarks, US Climate Envoy John Kerry had said loss and damage was not the same thing as climate reparations. “‘Reparations’ is not a word or a term that has been used in this context,” Kerry said on a recent call with reporters earlier this month. He added: “We have always said that it is imperative
Costs of Wind and Solar Energy Are Skyrocketing 13 replies

Advocates of wind and solar energy have argued that the cost of those energy sources would decline over time as they are more widely adopted. That never made any sense, and it has not proved true. In fact, the cost of both wind and solar energy is destined to continue rising sharply as the massive quantities of materials they require become more expensive as a result of increasing demand, driven by ill-advised (the politest adjective I can think of) government mandates and subsidies. In fact, the cost of electricity generated by wind and solar is already skyrocketing. My colleague Isaac Orr reproduced this chart at American Experiment.

Amid bombshell revelations that the FBI embedded numerous informants in two militia groups accused of plotting to overthrow the government on January 6, FBI Director Christopher Wray finally is facing some heat. During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, Representative Clay Higgins (R-La.) angrily demanded to know more details about the use of FBI informants related to the Capitol protest. Higgins twice asked Wray whether FBI informants disguised as Trump supporters were planted inside the building even before protesters gained entry. When Wray offered his usual obfuscating tap dance about protecting sources and methods—“the suggestion that the FBI’s confidential human sources or FBI employees

Back in January of this year, the Canadian province of Quebec announced a plan to impose a tax on the unvaccinated. The following month, after a large outcry from the public, the plan was scrapped. But the government never gave up on the idea entirely. Some are still suggesting that the plan could be retooled and brought up for consideration again. In case that idea moves forward in a substantial way, we should take a look

The 80 year-old president regularly reminds people he is the only person who has beaten Trump, and he remains confident that he's the man to repeat that feat in 2024, The New York Times reported. Biden previously billed himself as a single term transitional president who'd bridge the gap between the chaos of the Trump years, and the emergence of a younger Democrat successor. But he's since announced a plan to run again in 2024, despite already being the oldest president in US history.  'Why would he get out now?'

Union concerns centered around sick time and scheduling, and Walsh’s work appeared to have avoided a strike that had the potential for far-reaching consequences on the American economy.
