The Run on Guns and Legal Battle Begin

The joke these days is that if you put the Bill of Rights to a vote, it would lose. The latest example of this decline in intelligence is Oregon, where voters narrowly passed an anti-gun measure so ghastly that the Second Amendment has been “rendered superfluous.” Now, there’s a run on gun stores, and civil liberties advocates have begun the fight to once again “secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity” and reclaim the rights the Declaration of Independence stated were “self-evident” and “endowed by our Creator.” Don’t kid yourself: It’ll be a tough sell in Oregon, where wokeness

Essentially certain that this will be found unconstitutional by the first federal judge that hears a case.

It’s a republic, if you can keep it… Our rights come from God, not from government. The 2A grants no rights; it’s there to protect our rights from government.

FTA: “Never underestimate what can come from a church basement, a synagogue, a mosque or a temple." Truer words...and like all zealots believing God is with them, the principle is all things with which they disagree, wishing to ban, is their right. Zealotry, religious and political, ought to scare all. History shows the consequences when it gains an upper hand.

The U.S. Supreme Court is probably going to decide more 2nd Amendment cases in the next decade than it has heretofore decided throughout its existence. Several states, including New York, are enacting or amending firearms control statutes in blatant disregard of New York State Rifle and Pistol Association v. Bruen. During the oral argument in the above case the justices commented upon numerous hypothetical fact situations where it would be unconstitutional to disallow individuals from carrying firearms. These places are clearly described in the above opinion. New York's recently amended firearms control statute describes numerous places in New York where firearms cannot lawfully be carried. These "cannot carry"" places all but mirror the places the SC expressly held are "carry allowed" places. New York's "cannot carry" places appear to comprise more than 50% of the total land (and water) areas of New York State. Also, as firearms cannot lawfully be carried through these places, individuals cannot carry firearms if their route of travel goes through any "cannot carry" place, or the route includes a mode of travel wherein carrying is prohibited.

All that these lawless eruptions do is provide marketing assistance to the gun industry. My initial reaction was to go out and purchase another gun and make sure that I have all of the high capacity magazines that I need but that goal has already been met. Organizations that disrespect the law, including the governments of many states, only encourage patriots to renew their belief in the Bill of Rights. The last barrier to nationwide dictatorship is the 2nd Amendment so whether it's respected by government or considered "superfluous," always remember that they want you helpless and subservient to the insane whims of Big Brother. They call it a "gun grab" but they never seem to get around to coming to your home and taking your guns, all they dare to do is nibble around the edges. That phenomena is why the 2nd Amendment is so important. A scared government is a controlled government and the alternative is to lie on the floor of the cold gulag with the only heat coming from the body lying next to you until it's time to wake up and march to the salt mine for another day of unpaid work. That's the ultimate result of Totalitarianism as Russia so generously demonstrated to us. The promised safety and effectiveness of gun control was once again proven futile by the recent mass knife murder in Idaho.

When I wrote about the climate “loss and damage pact” yesterday, I noted that Climate Czar John Kerry distanced himself from the term “reparations.” The US and other developed nations have long sought to avoid such provisions that could open them up to legal liability and lawsuits from other countries. And in previous public remarks, US Climate Envoy John Kerry had said loss and damage was not the same thing as climate reparations. “‘Reparations’ is not a word or a term that has been used in this context,” Kerry said on a recent call with reporters earlier this month. He added: “We have always said that it is imperative
Costs of Wind and Solar Energy Are Skyrocketing 13 replies

Advocates of wind and solar energy have argued that the cost of those energy sources would decline over time as they are more widely adopted. That never made any sense, and it has not proved true. In fact, the cost of both wind and solar energy is destined to continue rising sharply as the massive quantities of materials they require become more expensive as a result of increasing demand, driven by ill-advised (the politest adjective I can think of) government mandates and subsidies. In fact, the cost of electricity generated by wind and solar is already skyrocketing. My colleague Isaac Orr reproduced this chart at American Experiment.

Days after the Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, Colo., the suspect has been formally charged, but no motive has been revealed. “A day after the 22-year-old man who allegedly opened fire inside a nightclub haven for Colorado Springs’s LGBTQ community was preliminarily charged with murder and hate crimes, investigators continued seeking a motive Tuesday behind the nation’s most recent mass shooting,” the Washington Post reported Tuesday. Democrats pounced on the shooting, immediately concluding that it was a targeted attack on the LGBTQ community and using it to attack Republicans. “Every GOP politician spewing anti-LGBTQ rhetoric bears responsibility for the Colorado Springs

Amid bombshell revelations that the FBI embedded numerous informants in two militia groups accused of plotting to overthrow the government on January 6, FBI Director Christopher Wray finally is facing some heat. During a House Homeland Security Committee hearing on Tuesday, Representative Clay Higgins (R-La.) angrily demanded to know more details about the use of FBI informants related to the Capitol protest. Higgins twice asked Wray whether FBI informants disguised as Trump supporters were planted inside the building even before protesters gained entry. When Wray offered his usual obfuscating tap dance about protecting sources and methods—“the suggestion that the FBI’s confidential human sources or FBI employees

Back in January of this year, the Canadian province of Quebec announced a plan to impose a tax on the unvaccinated. Officials there claimed that most of the impacts on the healthcare system were being caused by unvaccinated people and that the vaccinated should not be made to shoulder the costs. The following month, after a large outcry from the public, the plan was scrapped. But the government never gave up on the idea entirely. Some are still suggesting that the plan could be retooled and brought up for consideration again. In case that idea moves forward in a substantial way, we should take a look

And surprise: The alleged perpetrators are not MAGA white nationalists. Rather, evidence so far points to migrants, possibly of the illegal kind. This is a bitter pill for most Vineyard residents to swallow. The island’s six towns have all declared themselves to be sanctuary communities.
