I remember as a child my mother would tell me, “You are the company you keep,” stressing the importance of associating with people who are on par with your values. For nearly a decade, I associated with the Democratic Party because I felt its values aligned with mine. Being a Democrat was part of my political identity; I even felt comfortable with the mantra “Vote blue no matter who.”
But the Democratic Party I once supported is unrecognizable, and my political association with it is no longer. On Sunday, for the first time in my life, I voted Republican and did it without hesitation.

Good for you Coleman, now if others who have been used and abused by the Dems would follow suit, maybe we can eventually get our country back to the greatness they have done so much to destroy.

Having despised America for nearly a decade, I gotta ask, where did this love of America suddenly come from? How much of what he says is true? Maybe it just me, but I can't ever bring myself to trust anything a Democrap has to say.

"They’ve gone from pro-choice to pro-abortion, which are two entirely different things."
Maybe, but once you a position that does not cherish life, especially the life of helpless innocents, you are on a BAD path. I am not an pro life absolutist. I think that abortion for rape, incest, and for the health of the mother is a necessary evil. I can even accept abortion immediately after conception because birth control can fail and having a child is a life changing and in some cases life destroying (for the single mother) event. I struggle with this but have come to an accomodation with it. Abortion is repugnant and should remain so.
Liberals have taken a huge step with abortion and other issues that show their moral compass is irrevocably broken. Their politics reflect this. They lie and manipulate with ease. They use the power of the state to violate Constitutional law, assault people, and ruin lives. They pursue things they want without any consideration of truth or rightness and claim immunity from consequences of ignoring these guideposts.
The author says he has "no choice but to vote Republican until the stench in the Democratic Party subsides". That's like saying we had no choice but to incarcerate Ted Kaczynski until he stopped bombing people. The dem party is immune to correction/redemption. They are about to face a significant corrective election. Their response to that, as it has been for decades, will be to double down, retrench, and find other ways to pursue the same goals. They will demonize and sacrifice individuals like Brandon to "explain" their problems. They will claim they had a "messaging" problem. However, they will not abandon their corrupt goals.
The author has has his eyes opened by the dems assaults on children and their authoritarian behavior per COVID. He says he is waiting for them to "fix" their stance on these issues before he would consider voting for them again. However, the dem position on these issues is a natural outgrowth of policies, positions, and attitudes that began many decades ago with FDR when the government decided that IT was the answer to the people's problems and would have to impose itself on the people to get things done. Since then the dems have been on a steady march to where they are today. Their positions on children and their authoritarian behavior per COVID are not aberrations of dem policies but instead the natural CULMINATION of their beliefs.
The dem "cure" is worse than the disease of human suffering. Dem solutions dehumanize us. We might survive but we are subhuman. This is the typical outcome of authoritarian regimes, which is what dems believe in and will NOT relinquish. It is in their essence and it is anti American.

The demoslut party has been a semi communist party for decades. It's only in the last few years that they have come out of the closet and gone full Marxist for everyone to see and hear.

I am not that suspicious of Democrats who become Republicans, that just makes sense. What I don’t understand is how Republicans like Liz, Cheney, Mitt Romney, etc. etc. can ever support a Democrat. That is very suspicious. I don’t think they were ever Republicans.

For how many years did you damage my family, my community, my state and my country with your robotic vite for the Democrats? The concluding statement reveals that he hasn't truly left the plantation..."Today, I’m an independent who has no choice but to vote Republican until the stench in the Democratic Party subsides."

Probably the best article I've read in a long time -- and here's the money line:
The party of liberalism officially died during COVID — and was resurrected as the party of authoritarian zombies ready to police your speech, have you arrested if you didn’t comply with its arbitrary mandates and have the federal government investigate you as terrorists if you vocalized your displeasure with your school board.
The Democrats and their foot soliders in the leftist media are going to be shocked at the number of minorities and women who vote Republican. It's going to be a political earthquake.

#8, I live in a PA district in which a Republican left the party on January 7, 2021 because he was "appalled by the January 6 insurrection". He is now a Democrat running this year to unseat our House Rep. He claims he is now a "moderate" Democrat. If his political beliefs could take a 180 degree turn in a 24 hour period of time, he couldn't have been much of a Republican in the first place. As for being "moderate" exactly how long would he be allowed to remain so if he won his election and the dims kept the House? Maybe just long enough to move into his new office and unpack his boxes. He'd be voting with the squad in
3....2....1. He doesn't appear to be the kind of person who can stand up to that kind of pressure.
