In December of 1776, General Washington and his small army were retreating back across New York, New Jersey, and into Pennsylvania. They were hungry, cold, and so lacking in necessities that many men were barefoot in freezing temperatures.
Why were they there? Because just five and a half months earlier, the Declaration of Independence had been signed. These men believed in those self-evident truths so much that they were willing to die for them — as Nathan Hale said, his only regret was that he had "but one life to lose for his country."

Tried to figure out why she wrote this, where she was trying to go with it. A pointless exercise. IMO.

Despite being a supporter of President Trump, both his style and his policies, I will vote in the 2024 primary for the politician who advocates for the policies I support and who has an excellent chance in winning. If that person is Trump I will vote for him. If it is another I will vote for that person. I either support or don't support a politician. I am not blinded by loyalty, which really has no place in the scheme of things.

So she’s saying others plan to challenge him in the primary? If so, the will be a public beat down of the establishment candidates by MAGA supporters. The establishment is probably plotting to split the party enough to impact the 2024 general election.

Unless there is establishment vote fraud, if President Trump runs again, he will get the nomination.

Trump has done 2 years of work, endorsing candidates, and building a war chest of many millions of dollars. That would indicate Trump already has many delegates committed to his nomination, and plenty of money ready for his candidacy. Also, Trump is already widely known. Anyone else seeking the nomination would start at a huge disadvantage. The Democrats think Trump will be the nominee, which is why they are doing everything, legal and illegal, to stop him.

Trump gets my vote in 2024. If he decides not to run, DeSantis gets my vote. I really can't say there is anyone else that excites me in the least!!!

RE: the Laura Ingraham quote (The country I think is so exhausted. They're exhausted by the battle, the constant battle, that they may believe that, well maybe it's time to turn the page if we can get someone who has all Trump's policies, who's not Trump.), DJT is the one at the forefront of this battle. If anyone should be exhausted, it would be him. But, he is the kind of man, and leader, that demonstrates strength when others might have given up, or shown weakness. Who are we to feel exhausted, or even tired enough to give up on a fighter who has already proved his worth as a leader?!
It appears that some are hoping to weaken the MAGA movement by splitting loyalties between DJT & Ron DeSantis. The fact that both men have shown themselves to be strong leaders, and with similar apparent views about this Republic, is the one thing that has made that hope to be even a small possibility.
Although I like DeSantis, Trump gets my vote if he decides to run, regardless of who else runs. The basic reason why is simple. Whoever runs with all of Trump’s policies will have to fight all of the same battles that Trump has already fought and won. Refighting those battles is a huge waste of time that we can’t afford to waste, if we hope to quickly begin to turn things around and rescue this Constitutional Republic from destruction.
Trump doesn’t have to prove himself on the world stage. His wisdom and resolve have already been tested on many fronts by enemies of freedom - foreign and domestic. He has learned many valuable lessons as POTUS. Those lessons, including & perhaps especially about persons & people, should inform the choices & decisions he would make in a second term.
We need to utilize his courage, strength, experience and wisdom while we have the opportunity, and save DeSantis for the eight years after that. He could be invaluable help to Trump in another term as governor of Florida, & he could gain invaluable knowledge & experience for his own presidency. May God help us and guide us, & may good prevail.

If he is the nominee I will vote for him and keep my fingers crossed. That said, I think if I knew him I wouldn't like him. Hes and obnoxious blowhard with that New York attitude I so despise. Still, I'm not voting for who I want as a neighbor, I'm voting for who can repair the damage caused by the communist kleptocrats who have been in charge for so long. Thats more important.

Trump is the George Patton of Presidents. He has endured 6 years of continual persecution by the left that few others could withstand. The left despises Trump because he is not a politician nor part of the establishment. He is also rich and cannot be bought. But most of all, he has a primal instinct about what the left is trying to do this country, which is to destroy the middle class which is the last obstacle against a leftest takeover of this country and all that is is left of the resistance against a socialist hell. He fought the left in the trenches for 4 years, using the left's own tactics against them. No other President has fought so fiercely for the the working class in this country. The working class knows it and that is why they love him. He draws tens of thousands at his rallies. The press refuses to pan the crowd to show this huge support. Trump knows how to beat the left at their own game, that is why they must destroy him at all costs. He is their Waterloo and they are fearful of what he is capable of by harnessing the collective power of the American people unlike any other President has done. He is the Roosevelt of the conservative movement. Do yourself a favor and stick with the proven over the promising. I do like Desantis and can only hope a Trump/Desantis ticket emerges. Can you imagine the victories they could achieve together with we the people at their backs?

But, so say we the people, Olivia, we will decide who gets the nod. If he chooses to run, the Donald will receive my vote during the primaries and. if successful, also in November 2024.
