The shooter who killed 19 children and two teachers at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on Tuesday reportedly barricaded himself inside as police waited outside for 40 minutes.
According to people who were present at the scene, terrified parents were yelling at police officers to charge the school for 40 minutes until a Border Patrol team finally took him down.
“Go in there! Go in there!” parents reportedly shouted.
Rep. Tony Gonzales (R-TX) told CNN the standoff occurred after shots had been fired, during which there was a lull in the action. He said:

How did he finance the rifles ($5k) and body armor. And can we see the video's from the school that shows him gaining access to the school?

Yes OP. This is the usual pattern. The shock and trauma yields reports flying in all directions. It is perfectly understandable. We then have the rebuttals from officials and various spokespeople. Just like the other similar events, it will be some time before we really know..

The hour and a half time from start to suspect killed was widely reported within a few hours including Yahoo News which was surprising. Hostage rescue versus a suicidal killer warrant different responses. Such a terrible tragedy for everyone with a heart no matter where they are right now.

Let’s see, back door open, Killer knew where to get in, police don’t enter for 40 minutes…Killer was unemployed but had a new $60K truck and $5K in guns and ammo.. there is something fishy going on here. I pray that the Parents and Texas Leadership get to the bottom of this, and fast. As a former emergency coordinator for an office of 1000+ employees NONE of this makes any sense at all.

#5, maybe the FBI funded and set up the shooter and instructed the policemen to stand down -- that would really be sick!

I will comment based on assuming that this long delay is accurate info, since it has been repeatedly reported now for two days.
And exactly WHO decided that the police would WAIT? My LE friends have told me that there was a broad range of discussion among leaders and experts on law enforcement after Columbine that the correct response was to IMMEDIATELY go in and engage an active shooter to stop the killing of innocents and start the process of arresting or killing the perp. That was widely agreed to be THE BEST POLICY, and that even a single officer who arrived and had no backup, him going in alone, could often disrupt the killer and prevent many deaths. A few brave young men on a train in France were more useful than all these "hero cops" with lots of guns, bullet shields and bulletproof vests --- sitting there and doing nothing.
What in the hell kind of incompetent leadership and training did the person who ordered them to stand down have? Will we find more incompetent political and affirmative action promotions here, as we did after the Broward Cowards let people die while waiting outside just like these cops apparently did?
Did these idiots in charge learn NOTHING from the Columbine and Broward incompetent, stupid disasters?

Re #1, the price of those rifles keeps jumping up with every telling of the story. IME, you can buy a rifle like that for between $550 and $1000 pretty commonly, and one had a $500 to $550 holographic sight on it. I
can't see more than from $1600-$2500 max for those two guns. $5,000 it proves to be true is a real sucker price on each one like buying a new Accord for $50K.
Still - IMO, the kid was dealing drugs and that is where he got his money. The whole family were involved in the drug selling business, apparently ALL felons.

Where did his money come from? I’m guessing some leftwing organization pushing gun control! Expect one of these now every week or so!

The Texas Rangers investigators should immediately release a timeline of events that is as accurate as can be established. This narrative of coward cops is toxic, and if allowed to be "set" in the minds of parents, will further erode their confidence in police.
I cannot believe that any officer or any agency would simply do nothing when children were being killed. If I'm wrong and they did, may they never have another good night's sleep.
Until proven wrong, I will believe that it's more likely that officers were inside the building's corridor doing their best to breach the door of the classroom while under fire (the door was locked, likely opens outward into the hallway, and is designed to resist forced entry). This probably accounts for some of the gunfire parents heard. As they were doing so, the tactical officers were gathering resources and determining how best to gain access to the killer. Due to the typically massive response to such a radio call, parents probably incorrectly assumed that all officers were outside "doing nothing".

A critical moment leading up to these 21 murders was how the perpetrator got into the interior of the school from the outside. From videos and reports it appears that the perpetrator gained entry to the school, through an unlocked security door, that leads from the outside into the school kitchen. It has also been reported that the perpetrator’s grandmother who he shot in the face before he headed to the school, used to work at that school, who knows for sure, but probably in the kitchen since she was not a teacher. If that is so, there is a good chance that the perpetrator used to visit his grandmother while she was employed at the school. If that is so, the perpetrator may well have known from those visits that the particular door, obviously used by kitchen staff, and not students and teachers, was usually unlocked for the employee’s convenience reasons, as after he crashed his truck, the perpetrator headed right to that door. We will have to wait and see when the investigation will show.

Looks like patterned after previous shooter. Only difference is previous shooter gave up and was gently handled and arrested. Maybe someone in power was waiting for shooter to surrender but shooter didn’t trust them so didn’t stick to deal

It's all part of the very sick politically correct society we live in. Cops are afraid to fire a weapon because of George Floyd. Or what if in the resulting scuffle, a child was mistakenly hit? Kids are afraid to snitch on each other or report something weird because they are taught everybody is different and they're all OK. Mom and Grandma may have chosen not to report the troubled teen because perhaps they didn't want anyone looking too deeply at their own backgrounds. Kids live in a violent world; video games and movies show people killing just for the sake of killing, completely emotionally detached. Politicians hop on whichever bandwagon will assure their reelection. Parents claim to be too stressed to be able to raise children with morals and ethics, so they leave that job to educators. And educators LOVE shaping their students into their own liberal image. Besides, it's much easier to tell a child that some people believe a man can get pregnant and have an abortion if that's what he wants to do or believe than it is to teach square roots. And above all, the media laps it all up because the more sensational the story, the better clickbait it is.
There's your simple answer.

Re #13, current reports are the he walked up to an unlocked door and entered. Walked 20 feet to an OPEN classroom door and entered the room, presumably the room where all the killing happened.
ZERO physical security. NONE at all.
That is just stupid on a massive scale. How many lives may have been saved by a simple locked, high quality steel exterior door, and a second locked door at the classroom?

The school basically had no defenses against the gunman. By the time the police arrived, the damage had already been done. The article says the gunman barricaded himself after murdering all those people and the local police had arrived.
Wait and see. The story can change.

I give up for a while. So far every "fact" that we have been given so far has proven to be false.
Looking at the school on a sat image, I see open wings with doors to classrooms opening onto covered breezeways. That is impossible to secure, with the only limited possibility is a tall fence with concertina wire on top, but easily breached by driving a pickup truck through it.
The school is impossible to defend effectively the way it is designed. Apparently they made no effort and just 'bet on people being good' which is a losing bet, especially with open borders.

Law enforcement will not protect you or your family. They are handcuffed by CommuNazi woke ideology. The time has come for vigilante justice. Get your kids out of government schools.
