Last week the Wall Street Journal reported that a shortage of fertilizer is causing farms in the developing world to fail, threatening food shortages and hunger. Ironically, the lead photo is of mounds of phosphate fertilizer in a Russian warehouse. Modern synthetic fertilizers are typically made using natural gas or from phosphorous-bearing ores. The former provides the nitrogen that is critical to re-use of fields in commercial agriculture. They constitute more than half of all synthetic fertilizer production. So what happens when oil and natural gas extraction are crippled in industrialized nations? One likely outcome is that the fertilizer manufacturing industry is also crippled, leaving both large commercial growers and smaller

I've been talking with other farmers for months about the fast approaching fertilizer Apocalypse. The increased price breaks our business model, and we are trying to figure out what to do about it. We WILL short our fields and forfeit production. Food prices will spike from both the shrinking supply (feeding an ever growing population) and the increased cost of production. I've heard wide ranges in how much we plan to short of fields. Either way, now would be a good time to stop burning corn in our gas tanks. They can put the whole nation on food stamps to solve the problem, if you like eating food stamps.

I'll buy some of what #5 sells but if we stop putting corn in the fuel tanks, corn supply increases and corn prices go down. With land at $8000/A, fertilizer prices tripling or quadrupling, machinery up 40%, seed corn at $400/ bag, and on and on all of a sudden $6.00 corn doesn't look adequate (and farmers can't raise the price of their product--it doesn't work that way). But as to the ammonium phosphate production being fought for environmental reasons, some of this goes back to the organic farmer wacos who believe the world can be fed using animal manure--ain't gonna work. And who are these organic advocates? Why the urban housewives who believe organic is somehow better and safer. Problem is cow poop under the leaves of the organic lettuce is not a good idea--e coli, and who wants to buy apples with worm holes?

Now we know why NIH/NIAID created Sars2 and the gene altering poisonous "vaccine". Depopulation. Only they miscalculated. Only First World countries used the vaccine. So only those of us in the First World will die out. Third Worlders will thrive and multiply because they didn't take the poison. Ha ha, joke's on us...and them. The "elite" were so smart they were stupid. The first thing that fails in every battle is the plan.

The filing also reveals that Horowitz failed to disclose that his office is in possession of two cellphones used by former FBI general counsel James Baker. The phones may contain information that’s important to the Sussmann case, as well as to a separate criminal leak investigation of Baker that Durham personally conducted between 2017 and 2019.

For more than 50 years, ever since the day I saw Dirty Harry on the big screen, I’ve been a movie fanatic — every kind of movie, all sorts of movies… Today, not so much. In pursuit of political purity, movies have lost their artistry. Characters are identities rather than complicated individuals, themes have been twisted into lectures, and the desire to entertain and enlighten replaced with the desire to preen, divide, and insult. Hollywood no longer wants us coming together to share a universal experience. Instead, Hollywood wants to pervert our children with gay porn and transsexual voodoo, wants us to cheer our own virtue and judge the other fella based on

Over the course of history, societies have chosen different forms of moral currency. In Rome, your virtue was determined by your nobility of ancestry and comportment. In Medieval Europe (and the first two centuries of the American republic, perhaps) piety was the determinant of moral virtue. Today, grievance is America’s moral currency. Understanding this is key to understand exactly what a civil war would be about. January 6, 2022 brought the first anniversary of the turmoil at the Capitol. In addition to neurotic public remembrances, the date brought with it a wave of hand-wringing furvor over whether we are approaching another civil war. The prospect of a civil war is more

But ever since 2017, when Senate Republicans invoked the nuclear option to confirm Supreme Court justices at a simple majority, instead of at the usual 60 votes necessary to break a filibuster, there has been procedurally little minorities can do to prevent a nomination from moving forward (the outright lies, smears, and chaos tactics Senate Democrats employed against Justice Brett Kavanaugh notwithstanding).

Several state courts issued major election integrity rulings this week that could have a profound effect on elections in swing states ahead of the 2022 midterms. The Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court ruled on Friday that the state’s “no-excuse” mail-in voting law, also known as Act 77, violates the state’s Constitution which requires in-person voting for most people who don’t fit the state’s list of exceptions. In a 3-2 decision, the court’s conservative majority determined that the expansion of mail-in voting put ballots in the hands of constitutionally ineligible people.
