The company, working with Kitasato University based in Tokyo, said that ivermectin has the “same antiviral effect” on all “mutant strains” including alpha, delta, and Omicron. Kowa added that ivermectin suppresses invasion of the virus and inhibits its replication.

The Morning Jolt, January 8, 2021: “In [Xavier] Becerra, Biden has selected a hardline partisan with no health-care experience to run HHS during a pandemic.”
The editors of National Review, January 9, 2021: “Becerra has no medical background and no experience running a large, complex organization. Becerra’s notoriety as a left-wing culture warrior will make it impossible for him to establish credibility with a significant and skeptical swath of the country.” The Washington Post, this morning:
White House officials have grown so frustrated with top health official Xavier Becerra as the pandemic rages on
Top White House officials have had an uneasy relationship with Becerra, the health and human services

Spotify will be adding content advisories to podcast episodes in an effort to combat misinformation about COVID-19, the company’s chief executive officer, Daniel Ek has announced.
In a blog post published on Jan. 30, the Swedish audio streaming service said it was “working to add a content advisory to any podcast episode that includes a discussion about COVID-19.”
The planned advisory comes shortly after Spotify removed Neil Young’s music from the site when the singer accused podcaster Joe Rogan of spreading false information about coronavirus vaccines and “potentially causing death.”
After giving the company an ultimatum between getting rid of Rogan, who hosts Spotify’s top-rated podcast, or him,

Two New York-based healthcare workers were arrested for allegedly forging and selling thousands of COVID-19 vaccine cards, officials said.
The Suffolk County Police Department on Long Island said on Jan. 28 that it arrested Julie DeVuono, 49, and Marissa Urraro, 44, for allegedly selling fake vaccine cards and entering that information into the New York State Immunization Information System. Kelly Meggs and other members of the Oath Keepers could not have done one of the major things of which they are accused by federal prosecutors: force their way into the U.S. Capitol Rotunda on Jan. 6, 2021, through the famous Columbus Doors, a defense attorney says.
The two sets of historic doors that lead into the Rotunda were opened by someone on the inside, and not his client, (snip)
Department of Justice video widely circulated on Twitter this week shows a man trying to open the inner doors (snip) before turning around as if listening to someone, then returning to the entrance and opening the left door for protesters.

Joe Biden came to town bearing a double-decker ice-cream smile. He likely wilI leave like Xerxes—confused, battered, alone. The ancient world was full of signs and portents that the high and mighty ignored at their peril.(snip)I thought of that episode the other day when I read of the dramatic collapse of a bridge in Pittsburgh just before Joe Biden was due to arrive to rally his troops for a further assault on American independence and prosperity.

Always remember, CNN is the official “fake news” narrative engineering effort of the U.S. State Department. The Washington Post pushes the Intelligence Community effort (CIA, etc.), and the New York Times push the FBI/DOJ (state police) effort.
Today in an effort to use Ukraine as a proxy state for war against Russia, the State Dept and CIA are claiming the Russians are amassing massive stockpiles of blood at the Ukraine border as they prepare for a protracted war. In response the Ukraine government tells the Biden crew to knock it off with the nonsense. This puts CNN journalists in Ukraine telling CNN journalists in the U.S.

A new court filing by special counsel John Durham reveals that Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General Michael Horowitz concealed crucial information from Durham in connection with the ongoing prosecution of Michael Sussmann, a former attorney to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign.
The filing also reveals that Horowitz failed to disclose that his office is in possession of two cellphones used by former FBI general counsel James Baker. The phones may contain information that’s important to the Sussmann case, as well as to a separate criminal leak investigation of Baker that Durham personally conducted between 2017 and 2019.

For more than 50 years, ever since the day I saw Dirty Harry on the big screen, I’ve been a movie fanatic — every kind of movie, all sorts of movies…
Today, not so much.
In pursuit of political purity, movies have lost their artistry. Characters are identities rather than complicated individuals, themes have been twisted into lectures, and the desire to entertain and enlighten replaced with the desire to preen, divide, and insult.
Hollywood no longer wants us coming together to share a universal experience. Instead, Hollywood wants to pervert our children with gay porn and transsexual voodoo, wants us to cheer our own virtue and judge the other fella based on

Over the course of history, societies have chosen different forms of moral currency. In Rome, your virtue was determined by your nobility of ancestry and comportment. In Medieval Europe (and the first two centuries of the American republic, perhaps) piety was the determinant of moral virtue. Today, grievance is America’s moral currency. Understanding this is key to understand exactly what a civil war would be about.
January 6, 2022 brought the first anniversary of the turmoil at the Capitol. In addition to neurotic public remembrances, the date brought with it a wave of hand-wringing furvor over whether we are approaching another civil war. The prospect of a civil war is more

Last week the Wall Street Journal reported that a shortage of fertilizer is causing farms in the developing world to fail, threatening food shortages and hunger. Ironically, the lead photo is of mounds of phosphate fertilizer in a Russian warehouse.
Modern synthetic fertilizers are typically made using natural gas or from phosphorous-bearing ores. The former provides the nitrogen that is critical to re-use of fields in commercial agriculture. They constitute more than half of all synthetic fertilizer production.
So what happens when oil and natural gas extraction are crippled in industrialized nations? One likely outcome is that the fertilizer manufacturing industry is also crippled, leaving both large commercial growers and smaller

Jumpin’ Ju-Ju Bones, we shall have to dust off the happy dance shoes. The wrong thinking “fringe minority” have raised over $7.5 million [LINK] in support of their trucker Freedom Convoy. The Canadian freedom movement is representing very well.
As the first wave of the convoy rolls into Ottawa, we start the update with the patriotic voice of fellow Canadian and friend of the Treehouse, Mark Steyn.Thousands of Canadians have braved brutally cold weather to stand on the side of the roads and highways for hours while cheering on the convoy and providing food, drinks and supplies for the massive logistical effort. It really is incredible to
