The top US emergency management official has claimed that more powerful, destructive, and deadly storms will be the 'new normal' due to climate change, following Kentucky's devastating tornadoes. 'This is going to be our new normal,' Deanne Criswell, head of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, told CNN Sunday before heading to Kentucky to assess the damage and help coordinate the federal response.'The effects that we're seeing from climate change are the crisis of our generation,' the FEMA chief added.Warm weather from a La Nina pattern was a crucial ingredient in the tornado outbreak that decimated western Kentucky on Friday,

Definitely, because we never had terrible tornados and other natural (oops, make that "man made" -- oops, make that "human made") disasters before all the current climate change.
Oh wait, yes we did. So this is just some more lie-beral insanity. I nominate Deanne Criswell as the second federal bureaucrat that President Trump fires as soon as he takes office again in January of 2025 (Witchdoctor Fauci being the first)!!!

He’s following the science dictated by the Dim donors, especially the Chinese. Global warming = western funding for foreign countries and competitive impairment of the US. And US politicians can claim they’ve saved the world in 100 years. Even The Gullibles are happy. Nobody accomplishes anything but they award themselves great honors and cash stipends.

Since she is obviously too young or stupid to remember the 60's, we had tornadoes constantly throughout the 60's here in Iowa and yes they were damaging. This is NORMAL for many parts of the US.

When the fear and panic of covid is ebbing it's time to ramp up the sky is falling we're all gonna die climate change meme. The take it for granted that their base is stupid ( they are ) and that so are the conservatives ( we are not ). No acknowledgment of the Little Ice Age that lasted for centuries ending in the 19th century. No mention of why the dinosaurs grew big . It was because the earth was 4 times warmer than it is now. Gee. how did that happen, no one had cars, in fact there wasn't anyone at all. A politicians worst nightmare is an informed electorate. With the dems base, no need to worry. Keep the lies coming.

How is it that anybody who can read a thermometer who is involved in the gov'mint can suddenly point to climate change as the culprit for tornadoes? Yikes! That party line is running deep. It's so amazing to see how fast they become meteorologists with a PhD (piled higher and deeper).

Oh BS. In the late '90's, Oklahoma City had five or six tornadoes at one time. Moore, OK, gets massive tornadoes regularly. Many hurricanes create tornadoes. Bad weather is normal, old or new. There is nothing on the planet a human can do to create hurricanes, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc.

So Criswell, what do you suppose the Xiden regime should do about these disasters?
Doesn't this call for drastic changes and very soon? Lest we see more tornadoes in 2022, let's shut down all pipelines, cancel all coal mining, and shut down all natural gas. We can't afford to lose one more life.
Oh, wait. The Left doesn't care about human life.

#7, this has nothing to do with Criswell's age. If she's a Leftist, she's blinded by ideology because Leftists spout talking points, don't think critically, are intellectually lazy, have selective amnesia, the list goes on. I'm in my fifties and don't subscribe to this nonsense.
I also have a good memory. Last winter, here in WV, we had ten significant snowfalls. I went to basic training in January 1988, in Alabama, and we had an ice storm en route. In December 1989, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina had well over ten inches of snow on Christmas Day. I lived in Florence, SC at that time. I was stranded at the hospital that night and couldn't drive home. Florence, SC had a tornado in the winter during the mid-nineties.
No. Leftists conveniently forget.

Tornadoes are normal but not new. Has this person never heard of the 1974 Super Outbreak of tornadoes? It was the most violent tornado outbreak ever recorded, with 30 F4/F5 tornadoes confirmed. From April 3 to 4, 1974, there were 148 tornadoes confirmed in 13 U.S. states and the Canadian province of Ontario. In the United States, tornadoes struck Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and New York. The outbreak caused roughly $843 million USD (~equivalent to $4.58 billion in 2019) in damage, with more than $600 million (~equivalent to $3.3 billion in 2019) occurring in the United States. The outbreak extensively damaged approximately 900 sq mi (2,331 km2) along a total combined path length of 2,600 mi (4,184 km). At one point, as many as 15 separate tornadoes were on the ground simultaneously. This happened 47 years ago. And the only reason 100 people were killed is because the tornado struck a factory that was running a night shift. Had that factory been closed, there would have been a much smaller death toll.

How this tornado is looked at is a luck of the draw. A few miles one way or another and the damage and number of deaths could have been totally different. This time, unfortunately, it hit a populated area and traveled a far distance. If the same exact tornado occurred twenty years ago the result would also have been different due to population growth, new buildings, urbanization, and other factors. The "climate change " fanatics always ignore this.

this bird brain and diapers are equally out of touch with the facts as to why the climate is changing and it's because, it's supposed to change, as a matter of nature doing what it's supposed to do
the only constant in our Universe is that all things are in a constant state of change.
