Victory isn't quite yet in sight for the United States at the Ryder Cup, but it's a lot closer than anyone would have expected at this point in the tournament. With all team play complete, the United States leads Europe 11-5, an all-but-insurmountable lead heading into Sunday's singles matches. Through the first three rounds of the Ryder Cup, everything turned up America's way. Three straight 3-1 sessions staked the U.S. to a 9-3 lead heading into the Saturday afternoon fourball sessions. The Americans scuffled, but managed to split the four sessions. Every Ryder Cup has its share of heroes, and Dustin Johnson and Jon Rahm

There's no question that Jon Rahm belongs in the world's #1 spot. His play all during the Ryder Cup has been near flawless. But in the world rankings American Ryder Cup players occupy most of the next places. 1. Jon Rahm 2.Dustin Johnson, USA 3. Colin Morikawa, USA 4.Patrick Cantley, USA 5. Xander Schauffele, USA 6. Justin Thomas, USA 7. Bryson DeChambeau, USA 8.Louis Oosthuizen (South Africa) 9. Tony Finau, USA 10. Brooks Koepka, USA 11. Harris English, USA 12. Anraham Ancer (Mexico) 13. Jordan Spieth, USA ... 16. Daniel Berger, USA. This might be the best American team ever, even including those old squads with Palmer, Nicklaus, Casper, Trevino, Watson.... The Europeans really haven't played badly at all. The Americans have just played better. Going into tomorrow's singles, every American player on the 12 man roster had won a match. I don't know if that's ever happened before. The spirit of the event is rolling along. Jordan Spieth had to shush a few classless fans who cheered a Rahm ball in the water. Good sportsmanship should be maintained by the players and fans. But these events are supposed to be the spirited competitions that they are. Once every two years is barely enough. Captains Stricker and Harrington have got two great teams. But the EU will need the greatest comeback in history to prevail tomorrow. I'll be watching. Go USA!

Looks like the US will win this going away. Just when you think the talent cannot get any better, they up the ante. The 2022 season should be great with COVID restrictions fading away, an enthusiastic fan base, and so many really good players on the tour.

I sense the Euros have less of an edge than I've come to expect. It's like they're playing an opponent that is to be pitied considering what our country has looked like under Biden. Hard to want to destroy an opponent that just lost his wife or has a dread disease. That said, go USA! May the crowd burst into a spontaneous obscene chant so popular at college football games these days.

Team US regained the Ryder Cup on Sunday following a historically dominant performance over Europe at Whistling Straits. Having been beaten convincingly in 2018 at Le Golf National, France, the hosts were on top from the outset, racing into a 9-3 lead after the first three sessions. Although the visiting Europeans hinted at a comeback on Saturday afternoon, the US was able to enter Sunday leading 11-5. And during the Singles matches on Sunday, Collin Morikawa claimed the decisive half point to ensure the US had the required 14.5 points to regain the Ryder Cup and the famous trophy remained in the US.

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. -- On the 13th tee box Friday afternoon during four-ball -- after Scottie Scheffler, Jon Rahm and Tyrrell Hatton had hit their tee shots -- Phil Mickelson and Bryson DeChambeau huddled for a chat. Shortly after they finished, Bryson reached in his bag, pulled out his driver and turned to the crowd as he lifted it over his head like a triumphant medieval lieutenant returning from the field of battle with his sword raised to the city. The gallery, of course, roared its approval. DeChambeau proceeded to try and drive the 394-yard par 4. Golf's foremost exhibitionist had finally found a perfect event for his skillset and his disposition.

The British energy industry is headed for a big shakeup as wholesale natural gas prices have been climbing since the beginning of this year. The latest gas price at the Dutch TTF hub, a European benchmark, gained on Monday to trade at 73.150 euros ($85.69) per megawatt-hour, close to the record high seen last week. The benchmark has risen a whopping 250 percent since January. British Business Secretary Kwasi Kwarteng felt it necessary to assure the British public that there would be gas to heat their homes this winter. “There is absolutely no question of the lights going out or people being unable to heat their homes,” Kwarteng told the House of Commons.

The U.S., U.K. and Australia have announced the formation of the AUKUS alliance, in open concert against Chinese expansion. “Britain has entered into a security pact with the US and Australia to counter China that will involve building a nuclear powered submarine fleet and wide-ranging projects on cyber warfare, artificial intelligence and quantum computing.” “The first programme of the AUKUS alliance will be the construction of a fleet of nuclear-powered submarines for the Australian navy, with American and British companies taking part in the manufacturing process.” This marks a radical departure for Australian defense policy, whose navy

Thank you very much pal," not calling him by name. During the brief press conference, the three announced that as the first step of the trilateral partnership between the countries, they would be creating a fleet of nuclear powered submarines.

One does not wish to join the pandemic of viral fear whipped up by our political leaders, collusive medical “experts,” and the grossly irresponsible and programmatically ignorant media conglomerate. And yet, there is good reason to fear being inscribed in the category of “the unvaccinated”—the New Jews at risk of disenfranchisement and worse in the increasingly fascist temper of the times. From my perspective, this is not a frivolous analogy. Growing up Jewish in a small town in the north of Quebec under the sway of an ultramontane clergy, I know what it is to be publicly mocked, prohibited as an undesirable from entering certain local establishments, and fighting my

One recalls C.S. Lewis’ dystopian novel That Hideous Strength, a longtime favorite of mine, where he speaks of “false writings” and “men maddened with false promises and soured with true miseries.” Lewis held to an apocalyptic vision of moral and intellectual surrender to the idols of mere self-sufficiency and hedonistic indulgence, of a time characterized by the death of meaning and the weakening of belief in a just and merciful God. “The shadow of one dark wing is over all Tellus,” the human spirit is being progressively “enclosed,” as he describes it. There is not much of the Rapture here, little indication of the new Jerusalem prophesied in Revelation.

It seems like this warning from the CDC shouldn’t be necessary yet the agency issued an alert to medical professionals to be on the lookout for Afghan refugees with infectious disease symptoms. A few cases of infectious diseases for which most Americans are vaccinated have started popping up among the Afghan evacuees recently brought into the United States. The CDC posted an announcement on its website warning medical professionals and staff of the possibility of Afghan refugees bringing infectious diseases like measles, mumps, and rubella into the country during their evacuation. Most Americans have been vaccinated against all those diseases.

We’ve reported about how Joe Biden’s staff has gone to great lengths to prevent him from answering questions. His meeting with U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson at the White House was a great example of this. Johnson took some questions from the British press. But as he was finishing up, the Biden staffers interrupted him, screaming at the top of their lungs at the press to get out, creating all kinds of chaos. The press then filed a complaint with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki. She basically treated them like dirt and like their objections meant nothing. Then,

It was a striking change to the beginning of the pandemic last year when OHA released previous advice for daters in the time of COVID-19. "You are your safest sex partner," OHA wrote at the time.
