Take off the masks and remove the “social distancing” circles from the floors. Open the schools, liberate college campuses, fill the restaurants and the gyms and the churches and the salons. Enough.
If 2020 wasn’t twisted enough, the current political imbroglio centers around a verboten visit to a California boutique for a routine blow-out. (Snip) The incident is the latest in a series of “rules for thee but not for me” gut punches from the ruling class; whether it’s mask-free trips to the park or crowded funerals for anointed heroes or casual meals munched indoors, the government-ordered shutdowns apply to everyone except the sadists running government who order said shutdowns.

In the most populous county in Kansas, the cases per 100,000 is heavily skewd by ethnicity.
Whites have 1,006 cases per 100,000 people.
"Other" (Asian?) have 932 cases per 100,000 people.
Blacks have 1,917 cases per 100,000 people.
Hispanics have 3,448 cases per 100,000 people.
Genetics? Behavior? Rates of pre-existing health problems? Seems like behaviors, but no data.

With the record heat you'd think it would get killed off. Maybe it is and they're just not telling us.

#1, that is the consistent pattern here in all the California counties that are 'restricted' as well. I don't have any stats at hand, but the pattern is clear! (You could add in the pockets of 'homeless' denizens, too.) Meanwhile, we're all suffering because of it! Must be nice to be able to enter a restaurant for a meal....I'm not sure I'd remember how to behave anymore.

Among the Coronabros, it's half panic, half politics.

Fact is, this virus isn't easy to get. One has a better chance of getting the flu than the Chinese virus. It's seems a matter of chance with a number of factors deciding if one gets really sick, or barely notices it at all. Even with an underlying condition it's not certain one will get infected to the point of needing medical attention. Since we know for sure the elderly are most affected by this virus, let's take precautions when we are near them, but life is a daily test of taking chances. Legislating behavior to avoid getting a virus which won't make the majority of people ill is just an exercise in controlling people because you can.

Where I live in western Colorado, folks have taken matters into their own hands - using common sense. Most folks have had enough of these useless masks. At my fitness center, most wear mask only over their mouth. At the grocery store, folks are blowing off the one-way traffic signs for the aisles. At the restaurants, off come the masks the second we sit down at our table. Churches are wide open. In-school teaching started 3 weeks ago. The only covid cases are those who bring their germs with them from out of state.
And, alas, we have more flu cases than covid. But, those little covid germs are about to get a taste of their own medicine on Tuesday with some good old-fashioned Colorado cold, wind, and snow.
Meanwhile, suspecting there are going to be a lot of December, January, and February babies coming into the world here.

The lockdown kills too. A close relative is in assisted living, no visitors, no trips to the store, no church attendance, no group exercise, only one person per table at meals, limited interaction, wear your mask and eliminate individuality, etc. My relative now refuses heart medication. I believe the relative may have given up on life. I blame the politicians and administrators who focus mainly on what benefits themselves. Throw away the masks and become a free citizen again!
