Marshal Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto commanded the Imperial Japanese Navy in World War II until he was killed in April 1943. Despite the dialogue from the 1970 WWII film "Tora! Tora! Tora!" Yamamoto probably did not say in the aftermath of the Pearl Harbor attack, "I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant and fill him with a terrible resolve."
But Yamamoto likely either wrote or said something similar: "I can run wild for six months ... after that, I have no expectation of success."
Yamamoto summed up a general feeling among the Japanese admirals that the huge industrial capacity of the U.S.

We have a roaring giant for a leader, but a House full of crying babies. Give America the opportunity and we will recover in spite of those crying babies. There was a song during WW2 that went "We did it before and we will do it again". And we did. But back then it was a land of strong people, not the snowflakes we have now. In spite of them, we will be back!

Always a good read. Praying that we are indeed giants. But I had hoped that after 9/11 and I was wrong. This, however, touches each of us where we live. After the towers fell, those of us in the Heartland could tell ourselves that we were immune from terrorist attacks, our little towns were not high targets. But now, the calm, ghoulish medical “experts” are terrorizing all of us. They have efficiently separated us from our families, our churches, our jobs, schools, communities. I remain somewhat stunned at how eagerly we have have tossed away our liberty for a feigned sense of safety from an invisible enemy. Now I fear that there are few giants among us, but I hope I am wrong again.

Faithful = roaring giant
faithless = crying baby
Seems like we are having to clean up the messes from the crying babies. . .

I know what most of the American people would choose. The politicians are another story.

Speaking for this American, I choose option ONE. That is my prayer, and also my intent. Be intentional about it.

IMO, the ''awakening'' means trouble for the progressive left, which calls the democrat party it's home. People are getting a good look at the democrat's plan for America. They are better understanding what Obama did to us, and what Pelosi, Schiff and Schumer want to do. The democrats, because of their derangement, can't hide their agenda any longer. They just can't help it. The contrast between the democrat leadership and President Trump is increasingly clear.
Those who remain with the democrats will be the ones who live on taxpayer dollars. The lobby industry. The bureaucrats. The people who depend on handouts, instead of working.
There will also be the deranged crowd. This includes rich celebrities, women who think abortion is more important than life. The race-baiters. Young people, who have not matured out of the propaganda they've been fed for years. And, of course, the criminals who depend on misplaced liberal sympathy to excuse, and enable, their crime.

When we were attacked by radical Islam, we rattled our sabers blew up a country that didn't launch the attack but hat it coming for unrelated transgressions, hung our flags for many months. Then we proceeded to open our doors to unprecedented levels of immigration of people indistinguishable from those who attacked us and invited those with familial connections to radical Islam to sit at the right hand at the highest levels of our government, Valerie Jarrett and Huma Abedin. We elected our first darkly complected POTUS who rather than advertise as Barry Sotero as he had previously done to advance his interests proudly marketed himself as Barrack Hussein Obama. Then of course he famously went on to finance Iran's nuclear weapons program.
If we follow the pattern, now that we have been attacked by China, either through incompetence exasperated by deliberate maleficence, or by a clandestine act of real war, will we respond by inviting them to run our government?

Either choice will be irrelevant unless we decisively remove as many Democrats, up and down the line, from power as possible in the coming election. Priority #1 that dwarfs everything else. This is not the time to stand on the sidelines and watch.

The guy sitting at the Resolute Desk is the roaring giant. Dim members of congress as well as several RINOs together with the 20-something lefty peons attending the press briefings are the cry babies.

LIbs are the Cry Babies. They stand in the way of a Great Country, they want to drag us into their cesspool and, I for one, AM NOT GOING!

Back in those halcyon days of American might and resolve, the Yankees won the pennant year after year. It doesn’t happen anymore. We used to defeat our enemies, but that doesn’t happen anymore, either. We have become spoiled children. We waste our bounty because we can. We have become a nation of global “rich kids”. None of those industries is returning to the USA unless the public is willing to pay $20 for a plastic laundry basket. But we have uncounted TRILLIONS in the bank...

A large portion of the American people are still on board with what our forefathers began for us. It is up to us to get our government in line with what real patriotism means because they are not going to do it on their own. We need to ensure that people like Schiff, Pelosi, Obama, Schumer, Warren, Comey, Clinton, Kerry, Nadler and all of the other pontificating blowhards are brought to justice for their anti-Americanism instead of being subjected to endless investigations that result in nothing. Yes, it may be necessary to bring the guillotine back into use. The Sleeping Giant exists.

A good read.
I’m pretty sure the dimoKKKraps have already chosen, and are currently actively seeking to exploit, option 2.
Maybe there are enough TDS disease free people to swing public opinion towards #1.

By and during the 1960s a die was cast of things to come in following years. You can watch the 'giants' dwindle. We know who steered this country from the great era during WW2 and after. By the sixties the drivers of the VW hippie vans traded them in for black limos and went to Washington. That's the crybabies who are now raising more crybabies. It's no secret there are two Americas but one side of America is diseased and full of hatred for 'giants'. The President is a giant and a man for the times but can we all fight with him? I hope so. I paid my dues as a young man in the late 60s can or will I do it again. Yes I can but not as good as I once was.

Crying babies. Each side has issues whining. Hannity and most of the right whine about the "double standard". The left whines about everything else. Race, gender, income inequality and stuff. Seems to me that the left has most of America sewed up.

One thing about all this, the Chinese Communist Government in China most likely could not have damaged the US economy more, if their actual covert motive was to allow their corona virus to insidiously enter the USA, by secreting the fact that it was so prevalent in the Wuhan region of China, and that it is so contagious that the virus can expand by human to human contact through unsuspecting US and world communities, as we now know are the true facts. With that in mind you have to wonder what will be the next effective covert biological and economic warfare weapons that the Chinese Communist Government could send to America and the rest of the world?
Remember the presumptive leftist and liberal Democrat presidential nominee Joseph Biden has been out there for years claiming that the Communist Chinese are no legitimate competitor to the US economy or are a legitimate enemy of the USA. Biden during his decades as a liberal Democrat and UniParty DC lawyer-politician has voted for laws and international agreements that allowed the globalist investor class and China to be able to move critical US manufacturing to China, and other low wage countries, thus destroying huge numbers of American jobs.
During the Obama-Biden Administration it was claimed that Obama and Biden were going to give “hope” to minority communities that turned out to be fool’s gold. But now we see that the Obama-Biden Administration took very little action designed to change the risky lifestyles prevalent in minority communities alleviate the vulnerabilities of those communities to such disasters such as foreign origin viral epidemics, a couple of which occurred during that era, and in fact may have made such situations worse by deploying critical emergency medical equipment in the Strategic Federal Stockpiles during past epidemics and then not replenishing those stockpiles.

A lot of good points.
"it is smart to have some 360,000 Chinese students enrolled in U.S. colleges? Is it safe to fund hundreds of labs on university campuses that conduct joint research with Chinese academics?
We need to STOP all Chinese students from enrolling in our universities, and stop all Chinese nationals from working in science in the USA. End it. They are here to steal, here to gain advantage to us against us.
Just stop it.

This is another insightful Victor Davis Hansen article. It's a must read and contemplate because America seems to be at a fork in the road. I pray the left road to socialism's inevitable destruction is soundly rejected by the voters. The Bible and the Constitution have guided us through storms before and Americans can continue winning those victories. It is up to us to be vigilant, remembering freedom isn't free, ...nor is it stupid.

I think Trump is an old bull. He doesn't want just a few of his adversaries, he wants them all. When I see him look a Fauci I am pretty sure he has made the list. The best thing we can do is keep the Senate, retake the house, intelligently fight the irrationality of the left. If Trump is in charge in January 2021, I expect to see a massive reduction in the size and scope of the Federal government. IF I thought the vote was going to be honest, I would expect a Trump landslide and a retaking of the House and retention of the Senate. Having experience with polling places in Florida and California I think everyone needs to be very afraid. Obama put Homeland Security in charge of elections. Can the administration decide to require real ID for voting? And park ICE and Homeland Security Police vehicles at every polling place?
