Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed is trying to win over Michigan voters by telling them his family's ties to the state go back to the 1800s. (snip) El-Sayed's parents came from Egypt, and this family is actually his stepmother's family, whom El-Sayed lived with while he was in college. So, no, his family's roots do not go back to the 1800s. (snip) "America is inherently racist, capitalistic, and an evil colonizer. Anyway, my family's been here for hundreds of years." That's what El-Sayed is saying.

Left-wing Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed has railed against doctors who don't accept Medicaid, arguing that they "discriminate" against "black communities" and perpetuate "long-held deep racism and structural racism." That criticism would apply to his wife, a psychiatrist who operates a private practice that does not accept Medicaid, Medicare, or any other insurance.
In a June campaign video captioned "Clinics and hospitals can discriminate against you based on your health insurance coverage," El-Sayed lamented what he called America's "multi-class healthcare system."

President Donald Trump’s teleprompter operator is believed to have made “tens of thousands of dollars” through placing bets on the president’s speeches, ABC News reported Thursday.
Gabriel Perez, who has been operating the teleprompter for President Trump since 2016, made the bets on the prediction market Kalshi. Perez is now in talks to settle the allegations the used inside knowledge of the speeches to “win more than $100,000,” ABC News reported.

Michigan Democratic Senatorial candidate Abdul El-Sayed seems to me most notably a member of what Louisiana Senator John Kennedy has denominated “the Hamas wing of the Democratic Party, which is in control.” He also mirrors fake working class Dems (snip) Left-wing Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed released two pages of his 2025 tax return showing $686,069 in total income, including $292,000 in “additional income” and $262,000 in capital gains, placing him in the top 1 percent of Michigan earners.
But the return does not reveal the sources of that income because El-Sayed released only the first two pages, omitting the remainder that would provide further detail.

Left-wing Michigan Senate hopeful Abdul El-Sayed is running as a populist who rails against the wealthy. At the same time, he's been photographed on the campaign trail wearing an array of luxury watches (snip) He even earned a shout-out from a watch podcast the same month for "rocking what looks like the Sinn U-1 SE," a German diver's watch that costs roughly $4,000. (snip) El-Sayed appeared to wear a pricier Omega—the Speedmaster Moon Phase Chronograph, worth roughly $10,000—in a June campaign video. And he donned a Mühle Glashütte S.A.R. Rescue-Timer, a German nautical watch worth nearly $2,000, while "getting ice cream in Grand Haven, MI."

Former President Joe Biden’s announcement of a forthcoming memoir drew swift mockery from conservatives Wednesday, with critics reviving questions about his health, age and use of an autopen during his presidency.
"This guy couldn't even sign his own name. He's not writing books. LMAO," wrote former Los Angeles mayoral candidate Spencer Pratt on X.
"Politicians write books to launder money. Nobody wants to read this, but the corrupt NGOs he provided for as President will buy up 100K copies and burn 'em to hold up their end of the bribes,’" the former reality TV star added.

Writer E. Jean Carroll collected over $5.6 million that a jury awarded her in 2023 in a civil verdict against President Donald Trump.
Carroll alleged Trump had sexually abused her in the dressing room of a luxury department store in Manhattan in 1996. Trump's attorneys have filed another appeal seeking to stop or reverse the payment, the Associated Press reported, and they vow to keep appealing.
“We are pleased to report that she has received the damages payment,” Carroll's lawyer, Roberta Kaplan, said in a statement.

The Dutch town of Ter Apel has a population of just 10,000 and was just sabotaged by its own government. (snip) An American transsexual man who applied for asylum in the Netherlands due to “oppression in Trump’s America” has been placed in the infamous asylum center Ter Apel famous for Islamist extremists and knife violence.
He says he regrets his decision…“It’s scary. It’s legitimately scary. I decided that my mental health is degrading so substantially, being here, that I just need to get out,” the dude in a dress said.

James Cox Chambers Jr., a prominent US billionaire and activist, was detained in Ibiza under an international warrant. (snip) Chambers Jr. is closely linked to Cox Enterprises, a major US conglomerate with interests in media, automotive, and investments. (snip) The party argues that the warrant is politically motivated, allegedly stemming from the Trump administration’s stance on Chambers Jr.’s left-wing activism and his support for the Palestinian cause. (snip) According to sources close to Chambers Jr. and his supporters, the warrant reportedly accuses him of international money laundering to support terrorist organizations, with potential charges carrying up to 30 years in prison.

I have taught torts, including defamation for over 30 years, but I have never seen the like of the Hunter Biden defamation case. The defendant made defamatory statements and then just refused to appear. That led to an equally bizarre $1.7 million award by U.S. District Judge Stephen Wilson of the Central District of California to Biden, consisting of just $1 in nominal damages and the rest in punitive damages. Here is the most interesting line of the opinion: “the damage to Plaintiff’s reputation is difficult to calculate.” It may be the single greatest understatement in the history of judicial opinions.

Back in May, the Cambridge, MA City Council voted to end the city's participation in the ShotSpotter program, a network of microphones that alert authorities to gunshots. It not only helps police catch criminals, it helps first responders locate and save the lives of victims.
The woke Leftists on the City Council did it to protect migrants and Black community members. (snip) Now a Cambridge man is dead, because he was shot and police weren't called for an hour. Xavier Bautista was engaged to be married and had a five-year-old son. He was 32 years old and worked for the Cambridge Department of Public Works.

Earlier this week, we told you how a gay cruise operated by Atlantis Events was denied docking in Turkey precisely because the passengers are gay men. The cruise, which left from Athens on July 5, said it would dock in Cairo, Egypt, instead.
There's just one problem: Egypt denied them, too. (snip) The Scarlet Lady's 2,000 passengers, including the Broadway performer Patti LuPone, woke on Thursday morning to find a note placed under their cabin doors informing them that the ship was urgently looking for alternative ports.
'Early this morning, we were informed that Scarlet Lady has been denied entry into Egyptian waters,
