A Russian soldier narrowly escaped being killed after an improvised anti-drone weapon malfunctioned during a live-fire test, sending thousands of rounds spraying across a military training ground.
Footage circulating widely on social media shows troops testing a Yak-B 12.7mm rotary machine gun, originally designed for Mi-24 attack helicopters, mounted on the back of a military flatbed truck.
Moments after the gunner opened fire, the weapon violently spun out of control.
The recoil threw the operator from his position as the gun continued firing uncontrollably, peppering the training area with live ammunition.

For decades, the Democratic Party exploited—but also restrained—its more liberal, anti-American activists. However, as they have become outrageously progressive, communistic, and violent, they have lost control of themselves, and now they are taking over.
Democratic Party operatives thought they could maintain control, and for a while, they succeeded. The efforts of aggressive progressive partisans succeeded in taking over the DNC in 1972. They promoted progressive George McGovern for president, and the Democratic National Committee embraced some of the most radical left-wing positions.

The Republican National Committee going into the weekend released details about its first midterm convention ahead of the November elections – a sign that President Donald Trump's tenacious and grueling work schedule is finally rubbing off on the GOP and is leaders after years of trying to keep pace.
Whether advancing his agenda, holding events, or dominating the news cycle, Trump's pace has been notoriously relentless. For weeks after his June 30 post, the broader party apparatus appeared to be playing catch-up—planning in the background while the president kept moving.

Just five days before his death, late Sen. Lindsey Graham defiantly scoffed at images of Iranians parading around with a poster of a bullseye on his head.
Iranians at the extended state funeral of the late Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei were seen with signage targeting Trump, conservative commentators Ben Shapiro and Laura Loomer, GOP mega-donor Miriam Adelson and others with text that translated to “In the end, your heads will be severed.”
At least they used a good photo of me. Judge me by my enemies,” Graham (R-SC) posted on X in response.

Speaking to Maria Bartiromo on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, Lee discussed Graham’s strong enthusiasm for the bill during what turned out to be his last conversation with President Donald Trump, emphasizing multiple paths forward for passage and stressing that the American people deserve and want the measure.
The remarks come in the wake of Graham’s sudden death on Saturday evening.
Trump had appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday morning to discuss the loss, revealing that his final conversation with Graham earlier that Saturday night was about passing the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) America Act.

The sad news of Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) sudden death on Saturday night at the age of 71 is still fresh, and Republican colleagues and world leaders have been issuing tributes to the four-term senator and his long service to the country. Meanwhile, ghouls on the Left are mocking his passing and showing how truly blinded by hate they’ve become over partisan bickering. Sick.
As unseemly as it might feel, the reality of politics is that life goes on despite tragedy, and Graham’s death puts the U.S. Senate in turmoil. He was chairman of the powerful Budget Committee and a member of both the Appropriations and Judiciary Committees.

We reported on the story that Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17) told of being "detained" in the West Bank.
As we noted, the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) disputed Khanna's claim that they were involved in any "detention" of Khanna's group, and said they helped resolve the situation when they arrived. The Israeli police also said that this was a "closed military zone" (CMZ) area where civilians weren't allowed. Now the Israeli Ambassador to the U.S., Michael Leiter, has weighed in and leveled Rep. Khanna. Leiter explained how they reached out to Khanna when they found out he was coming,

Christians across Communist China are being arrested, detained and effectively “disappeared” for worshipping outside state-controlled churches, according to a major investigation by The Telegraph.
The report details accounts from underground Christians who say police have raided homes in the middle of the night, separated families and imprisoned pastors as the regime intesifies its campaign against independent religious groups.
One Christian identified only as “TJ” recalled police smashing into his home before dragging away his wife.

Nearly $15,000 has been raised for a conductor on the historic Incline Railway in Chattanooga, Tennessee, who was fired after delivering a patriotic message to passengers on Independence Day.
As The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Jack Peterson, who worked as a conductor for the Chattanooga Area Regional Transportation Authority (CARTA), which operates the Incline Railway, made the comments during a July 4 ride.
In a statement captured on video, which went viral on social media, Peterson wished “the very, very few Americans” on board a happy Independence Day.
He added, “To the rest of you, welcome to the greatest country on the face of the planet, and if you disagree, you can leave.”

For some years, I have kept a folder marked “Conservative Gloominess.” It is full of articles and animadversions by various hands: dire prognostications about who the next occupant of the White House will be; harrowing descriptions of disarray among conservatives; despairing portraits of U.S. or European society. What’s odd, or at least uncharacteristic, about these bulletins from the abyss is not their substance—to be candid, I have written plenty of items that could justly be filed there—but their tone and what we might call their existential orientation.
From time immemorial, conservatives have delighted in writing works with titles like Leviathan, The Decline of the West, The Waste Land. Nevertheless,

Over the previous five days, 76 Russian ships have been attacked by Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and unmanned surface vehicles. This has succeeded in virtually isolating Crimea and the illegally occupied areas of Ukraine from Russia and may be on the verge of precipitating a humanitarian disaster in Crimea as water, electricity, and food are about to become scarce. Of the 76 targeted ships, 28 were attacked Friday night. This indicates a coherent strategic campaign rather than a one-off happening.
To fully understand the larger picture, we need to back off several months.

On Saturday night, according to reports, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) navy fired a warning shot at and struck a commercial ship transiting the Strait of Hormuz, and Iran claimed it was closing the strait until further notice. This comes in the wake of President Trump and administration officials on Friday giving Iran a deadline of Saturday to say to the world that the Strait of Hormuz is open, or face certain destruction, as my colleague Joe Cunningham wrote earlier:There was also news Saturday of a potential assassination plot by Iran against Trump possibly being foiled in recent days.
