WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court on Tuesday blocked President Donald Trump’s contentious attempt to limit citizenship at birth for those born on U.S. soil, delivering a major blow to his agenda. The court, divided 6-3, ruled that the executive order Trump issued Jan. 20, 2025, the first day of his second term, was unlawful. Five justices said the order fell foul of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, which has long been interpreted to bestow birthright citizenship on almost anyone born in the United States.

No foreign traveler who is pregnant should be admitted into the country. Any illegal who is pregnant should be deported immediately. Any foreigner who gets pregnant while in the country must leave, have the baby in their own country, before being allowed back. All of this is currently allowed now.

Unfortunately the only way birthright citizenship will end is by means of a Constitutional Amendment.

Can a tourist who gives birth here but really doesn't want their baby to be a foreigner when they really do want to go home, can the mother REFUSE that designated citizenship?

With the birthright citizenship and mail-in ballot decisions and Amy Comey Barrett's votes, I believe she has been compromised because of the numerous death threats her family has received. Thus, she cannot adjudicate accordingly. She should resign.

With all due respect, #9, I am old enough to remember all Justices Clarence Thomas endured (and his WIFE) since his disgraceful confirmation hearings. A stellar character, a brilliant intellect and Godly COURAGE prevented him from ever selling out. If Barrett were threatened, her Christian character alone should make her resign before she would ever make decisions for our beloved country based on threats. She has a choice in that regard. Her betrayals show which choice she made.

Very sad outcome, but I feared that they would rule this way. We have to get a law passed, but with the Dems desperately trying to destroy America by importing foreign voters, I don't think it will be possible. One more long term reason that is pushing us towards a civil war, sad to say. When politics cannot work, war is politics by 'other means'. I hope it does not become necessary, but civil politics is failing.

Breaking: Supreme Court Makes a Big Ruling

The Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday in a 6-3 decision that federal limits on how much political parties can spend in coordination with their candidates violate the First Amendment, delivering a major victory for free speech and party operations and for Republicans. It should have an impact on the 2026 midterm elections. In National Republican Senatorial Committee v. FEC, the justices overturned the 2001 Colorado II precedent, clearing the way for unlimited coordinated spending by parties. The ruling is expected to reshape the 2026 midterm battlefield by empowering official party committees over super PACs.

WASHINGTON – States can ban transgender women and girls from competing on female sports teams, the Supreme Court ruled June 30 in addressing a major cultural and political flashpoint before adjourning for the summer. The decision is another setback for the LGBTQ+ community from the high court, which has issued a series of recent rulings against transgender Americans. The court said West Virginia's and Idaho’s bans on female transgender athletes do not violate either the Constitution or a federal law barring sex discrimination in education.

Kyiv — Once Russian soldiers reach certain parts of the front lines of the war in Ukraine, they can expect to live an average of just 20 to 35 minutes, according to a grim estimate by Russian military bloggers, cited by Oxford historian Peter Frankopan in a Foreign Policy report. CBS News has not independently verified the claim. But similar accounts are becoming increasingly common on Russian military channels, suggesting that more Russians are becoming aware of the war and its toll on their side — a toll Kremlin officials have long sought to shield from view. The war has inflicted staggering losses on Russia's young men.

The U.S. and Iran have agreed to “stand down for now” and allow ships to pass through the Strait of Hormuz after renewed fighting in the past few days, a U.S. official told The Hill on Sunday. “Technical talks are slated to continue on all areas of the MOU. Both sides will stand down for now and vessels can move freely,” the official said, referring to the memorandum of understanding signed by both sides earlier this month. The war against Iran, which started four months ago on Sunday, has stressed the global economy, raised gas prices in the U.S. and strained America’s relations with Israel and traditional European allies.

truism of leftist revolutions is that the Old Guard is never sufficiently pure for the younger generation that it trained. The Supreme Court (SCOTUS) ruled that state laws allowing for the counting of mail-in ballots after election day are not in violation of federal law, a blow to the Republican National Committee and President Donald Trump’s administration. On Monday, SCOTUS issued a 5-4 ruling that permits states to count mail-in ballots — sent on or before election day — that are received by state election officials after election day. Justice Amy Coney Barrett wrote the majority’s opinion, joined by Chief Justice John Roberts as well as Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Elena Kagan, and Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Monday’s bombshell Supreme Court ruling established that “election day” isn’t really election day at all; it’s a period of time. Specifically, the court decided 5-4 in Watson v. RNC that states could count mail-in ballots even if they were received after the election date, as long as they were postmarked in time. Naturally, many conservatives, including President Trump, were deeply disappointed by the decision, which to many seemed to defy common sense and the notion of election integrity. California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and his ilk were almost certainly cheering; after all, they still haven’t certified the governor’s primary, which was held on June 2. A clown show.

After US tourists mocked France over the lack of air conditioning across the country amid 104 degree temperatures, Audrey Pulvar, deputy mayor of Paris for international relations, claimed the situation was partly America’s fault. “Dear American journalists and social media ‘influencers’: for days, some of you have been criticizing and making fun of Paris because the city does not have A/C in every room…OMG, this is so rich!” Pulvar wrote on social media. “As the second-largest emitter of greenhouse gas emissions in the world,

The Supreme Court on Monday declined to take up President Trump’s appeal of the $5 million sexual abuse and defamation verdict that followed a lawsuit by former advice columnist E. Jean Carroll. Now Trump will have no choice but to pony up the $5 million to the 82-year-old, who has repeatedly claimed that the president sexually assaulted her in a Bergdorf Goodman fitting room during the mid-1990s. Trump’s lawyers argued that, as president, he should not be distracted from his executive duties in order to deal with “decades-old, false allegations.”

BIRTHRIGHT CITIZENSHIP: The court rejected President Donald Trump's executive order ending citizenship at birth for people born on U.S. soil. The court ruled that the executive order ran foul of the Constitution’s 14th Amendment, which has long been interpreted to bestow birthright citizenship on almost anyone born in the United States. TRANSGENDER ATHLETES: The high court, in a ruling that combined two cases, upheld state laws that ban transgender athletes from participating in girls’ and women’s sports. The idea, Walmart says, is to free staffers from the decades-old, time-consuming task of switching out paper tags slotted on shelves.
