The Justice Department's Antitrust Division approved Friday the $111 billion merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros. Discovery, clearing a major regulatory hurdle for one of the most watched sales in recent years. The two companies signed the paperwork for the deal in February, which will see Paramount acquire Warner Bros., but it still needs final approval from the Trump administration before it can go through. The Justice Department told Politico that it has conducted an extensive review of the proposed merger and found that it would not stifle competition, despite merging two of the biggest studios in Hollywood and the media.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been playing hide the ball with the truth about the disastrous and deadly Pacific Palisades fire and the state's culpability in it since it rekindled on Jan. 7, 2025. This week, the governor lost another court maneuver in his attempt to deny Palisades fire victims the ability to sue the the State of California. On Friday, the California Supreme Court denied Newsom administration's latest stall tactic, that would have required yet another "review and request to stay the Palisades Fire Litigation," according to Trey Robertson, who represents 4,000 Palisades victims. If the court had decided differently,

Sami Winc: So, Victor, California polls or the California election results have come in, and I was wondering your thoughts, especially in LA, because there’s been lots of news this week and discussion about two things: dirty voter rolls, and then the New York Post had an article on how Nithya Raman was part and parcel to funding a social services by $600,000, and then they went out and paid or got homeless people and anybody else they could to register at that address. And so, my question is this: How many social services do you think have done that?

The June 2 gubernatorial race in California has Republican candidate Steve Hilton exceeding pre-election polls and headed to the November general election to face the top Democrat pick, former Biden Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra. Politics(Right) As of this writing 94 percent of the vote has been counted and that tally puts Hilton in the top two, earning 24.8 percent of the vote while Becerra won 28 percent. Pre-election polls had Hilton trailing Becerra by eight points. When you compare Hilton’s performance to previous Republican attempts to oust a Democrat, the results get interesting.

Republican Mitt Romney – like Gabbard a former presidential candidate – accused her of spreading "treasonous lies" and "Russian propaganda," and many in the news media joined the chorus in a concerted effort to diminish the threat that U.S. tax dollars could one day lead to an accidental virus outbreak from one of those foreign labs. Four years later, Gabbard turned the tables in epic fashion.

There is growing momentum within the Democratic Party to find its next ObamaCare heading into the midterms, as healthcare costs become more untenable and American anger over affordability persists. Healthcare has consistently ranked as a top issue for voters heading into this year’s midterm elections. June polling from Emerson College found that healthcare ranked in the top five issues for voters, behind the economy, threats to democracy and immigration. The expiration of the enhanced Affordable Care Act (ACA) tax credits dealt a heavy blow to Democrats in Congress, who carried out the longest government shutdown in history to get a vote on extending the subsidies.

Several House Republicans urged Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Thursday to revoke the Southern Poverty Law Center's tax-exempt status in light of allegations the organization funded efforts to fabricate and expand extremist groups. The letter comes after a federal grand jury in April approved charges against the organization for alleged wire fraud, conspiracy to commit money laundering, and other offenses. North Carolina GOP Rep. Mark Harris led the letter to Bessent, claiming the organization is not operating as a nonprofit but as a partisan "left-wing political machine,"

As more and more revelations come to the fore about Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, who just won the Democrat primary this week, many Democrats seem to have adopted a simple mantra regarding his campaign: Vote for the Nazi: It’s important. The saying echoes a slogan from campaigns past — one that supporters of Republican Sen. Susan Collins, Platner’s opponent in the general election, would do well to employ against Platner. The slogan demonstrates how Democrats will embrace a candidate — any candidate — so long as that person opposes President Trump.

On April 2, 2025, Karmelo Anthony went to Memorial High School looking for a fight. Though he was participating in a track meet, he felt the need to bring a knife in his backpack. Once at the school, he sat in the tent of the opposing team. When confronted by Austin Metcalf, who told him to leave, Anthony reached into his backpack and said, “Touch me and see what happens.” Metcalf then grabbed Anthony in an attempt to forcibly move him out of the tent. Anthony then used his knife to stab Metcalf in the heart, killing him almost instantly. Touch me and see what happens. This is the ethos

Disgraced Democrat Hillary Clinton is continuing to perpetuate an old lie pushed by liberals to prevent election security. (X) “They’re trying to kick people off of voter rolls,” Clinton said of Republicans promoting basic election integrity measures. “They’re trying to demand…you know…forms of identification most real people don’t have, and most older people, and most rural people don’t have. They are certainly redistricting to make it difficult to elect black representatives or Latino representatives or Democrats. So, that means that we have to be even more intentional in showing up and voting.” So most “real people” (whatever that means) don’t have a REAL ID driver’s license or a passport?

I saw 2001: A Space Odyssey in 1968. I was 14. I enjoyed the visual spectacle—its special effects hold up well today—but hadn’t a clue about its meaning. I eventually showed it to my Advanced Placement kids in high school. They were used to having all the answers, so I asked them to keep question logs we’d answer after the film. They scribbled furiously and constantly and walked out each day—it’s a long movie—muttering to themselves. Finding out you don’t have all the answers, that you really don’t know it all, is hard—and character building. After a period in which I answered some questions and left the rest unanswered—they were

Kurt Schlichter's 2024 novel, "The Attack," is an eye-watering what-if scenario of the coming attack on America. The new one will be a 3-day summer attack that will cripple America. The Attack will be a coordinated attack on our government, our infrastructure, and our cyber-capabilities. Why is this novel more worthy than others of our POTUS' attention? Because I believe Schlichter knows things. "The Attack" is about a highly-coordinated, massive, comprehensive Muslim attack on everything America uses to survive and thrive. Due to the open borders of America and other nations, really, really bad things happened which we are only now seeing.

And so in Italy recently, a woman was beheaded, in accord with commands found in the holy book of a rapidly growing segment of Italy’s population, and in case anyone remained determined to miss the point
