Now We Know: The Reflecting Pool Reflects TDS

Earlier this year, there was a frenzy about the Reflecting Pool between the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. President Donald Trump wanted to clean up what was mostly a fetid swamp, and decided to paint the bottom of the pool a royal blue, in part to help seal cracks but also because, why not? “Critics” went beserk, saying, as CNN reported, that “the Reflecting Pool will look more like a swimming pool, with the shine of a country club, like the president’s Mar-a-Lago club in Florida … — and that the pool will actually be less reflective.” “It’s not supposed to look like you’re going to dive in

If Trump had the temperament of Gerald Ford, the left wouldn’t have been so afflicted with TDS. TDS exists mainly because Trump skewered too many liberal scared cows; in his three campaigns and both presidencies. If he does or says anything, and there’s a squeal from the left, he’s on target. Honestly, at this stage, just about anything MAGA makes the lefties lose their collective minds.

It's stunning (and nauseating) how leftists are experts in everything--even though they have little to no life experience to warrant their critiques. And they speak with such authority! They truly are dangerous.

The 'Rats have built up their hate machine, and egged the haters on to such a degree that it instantly goes into overdrive at the slightest perceived opportunity. President Trump is their main target, and will be until the next Presidential election campaign gets underway, when it will switch on command to whoever the 'Rats believe is the Republican front-runner, be it Vice President J.D. Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Florida Governor Ron Desantis, or someone else. It is a bought-and-paid-for machine of amoral, mentally challenged individuals, designed to carry out the 'Rats standard operating procedure, the Politics of Personal Destruction. Don't believe me? Do you know who Willis Havilland Carrier is? No? Maybe you should. He’s the engineer who, way back in 1902, invented what we now call air conditioning. His invention has been cooling American houses and businesses ever since. But it’s also done something even more important: Saved hundreds of thousands of lives. Think that’s hyperbole? It isn’t. As America prepares for yet another long, hot summer, most of us will stay indoors to work and relax. Why? When the torrid weather arrives, we simply turn on our air conditioning and immediately feel cool air filling our rooms and making us comfortable. But comfort is a bonus to AC’s real impact: saving lives.

Once upon a time, Americans truly understood the meaning of wartime sacrifice. World War II rationing – not simply price hikes, but actual deprivation of goods – encompassed basic foods such as meats, butter, cheese, coffee, sugar, and canned, bottled, and frozen fruits and vegetables. Purchase-restricted necessities included clothing and shoes, metal goods and tires (hence scrap and rubber drives), and yes, gasoline. Such selflessness was universally accepted as the price of ridding the world of the evil and disruptive influences of fascism and militarism as represented by the Third Reich and Tojo’s Japan. Today?

A majority of Americans see Iran as a serious threat to the Mideast and are deeply concerned about its nuclear ambitions, but also don’t trust Iran’s ruling Islamist regime to abide by any nuclear agreements it might sign, the latest I&I/TIPP Poll shows. As the U.S.-Iran conflict continues to unfold amid ongoing talks and threats of further possible military action, the national online I&I/TIPP Poll asked 1,589 voters several questions about Iran. The survey, taken from May 26 to May 28, has a margin of error of +/- 2.7 percentage points. The first question: “How much of a threat do you believe Iran poses to stability in the

Another media global warming team has been terminated, this time the National Public Radio climate desk. This is what happens when “journalists” keep reporting about a dead horse. Eventually, the public realizes the horse has perished, and there’s nothing left to talk about. Or that there was no horse to begin with. NPR is the third media outlet to rein in its diehard band of Democratic Party scribes dedicated to exaggerating climate fears, following the Washington Post and CBS News. The former was sawed roughly in half while the latter was, to our grand delight, “gutted.”

President Donald Trump has been having a field day with the agonizingly slow vote count in California’s primary. “The Dumocrats are at it again!” he posted Thursday on Truth Social. “They are trying to STEAL THE GOVERNOR OF CALIFORNIA PRIMARY, AND THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES, PRIMARY, AWAY FROM TWO GREAT REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES.” Which, of course, set off a frenzy of “Trump lies” responses from Democrats and the press. But even if Trump is wrong about fraud, he’s right to complain about this laughably inept process.

Last week, we wrote about how euthanasia has become one of the most popular and easily accessible healthcare “treatments” available in Canada’s socialized medical care system, thanks to the country’s embrace of medically assisted suicide. We noted that, “From a government bean counter’s perspective, the more suicides the better.” (See “Canada Shows The Gruesome Side Of Socialized Healthcare.”) This week, we came across a study published in the OMEGA — Journal of Death and Dying that “explores the potential economic savings from expanding medical assistance in dying (MAID) in Canada.”

The United Nations is going broke? Please, say it is so. The world’s largest parasite, the running cocktail party for despots, apparatchiks, terrorists, climate fanatics and Americanophobes, should be shut down — with prejudice. News reports tell us the U.N. is facing imminent bankruptcy, headed toward a financial collapse and is at risk of insolvency. It’s “expected to officially run out of money in mid-August.” The best part is “the United States is a big reason why.” “The United States owes roughly $2 billion to the organization’s regular budget on top of another $2.2 billion for peacekeeping

This isn’t normally the time when voters are asked whether they are better off than they were four years ago. That’s the question that tends to come around in presidential election years. But as the midterms approach, it’s what everyone should ask themselves as they decide who controls Congress for the next two years. Because the answer is obvious. Let’s turn the dial back to June 2022. Joe Biden had been occupying the White House for a year and a half. Democrats controlled Congress, handing him his $2 trillion “Build Back Better” spending extravaganza. The economy had more than recovered the ground

It’s been a rocky spring for President Donald Trump, at least as far as his favorability ratings go among voters. That’s the bad news. But there’s also good news for Trump: His ratings showed little change in the latest I&I/TIPP Poll, as he moves toward a deal with Iran that will reopen the Mideast’s oil spigots. The national online I&I/TIPP Poll each month asks voters to assess presidential performance. June’s poll was taken from May 26 through May 28, and included a sample of 1,589 adults, with a margin of error of +/-2.7 percentage points. The first question:

In Canada, if your doctor refers you to a specialist, you’ll likely have to wait 15 weeks to get an appointment. Then another 13 weeks to get treated. Just getting an MRI will take 4 1/2 months, on average. But if you want to kill yourself? You can get a same-day appointment. Welcome to the healthcare system that Bernie Sanders and his socialist pals want to import into the U.S. A decade ago, Canada legalized “Medical Assistance in Dying,” or MAID. If President Donald Trump is considering handing over billions to the terrorists of Tehran and leaving them in control of the Strait of Hormuz, as some news dispatches have indicated, he will have committed a blunder. The only choice they should be offered is to give up everything or lose it all to the almighty forces of the U.S. and Israeli militaries. If not, the Iranian threat will never be eliminated, only weakened for a time before returning to its demonic affairs, leaving a mess for someone else to clean up. A report found that Social Security is on track to be insolvent by the end of 2032, and beneficiaries may experience a 22 percent benefit cut if the looming insolvency is not addressed. Social Security provides guaranteed retirement income to over 70 million Americans. The Center on Budget and Policy Priorities states that Social Security keeps more Americans out of poverty than any other program in the United States. The 2025 report found that the projected Old-Age and Survivors Insurance fund, which pays benefits to retirees and survivors of deceased workers, would be depleted by 2033. In August, it moved the insolvency date to 2032,

Democratic Senate candidate Graham Platner claimed that he has been able to "make a living on the sea" since leaving the armed forces during a Friday rally, an assertion his financial disclosures don’t appear to support. Platner, who is running for Senate in Maine to unseat incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins, has long identified himself as an oyster farmer and harbor master, giving a blue-collar tinge to his left-wing campaign. Financial disclosures, however, show that he brings in relatively little money from oyster farming, with reports suggesting that Platner receives the majority of his income through veteran’s disability payments.

The State Department is dismantling birth tourism networks across Africa and Europe, officials announced on Wednesday. An estimated 33,000 United States-born children are rewarded birthright American citizenship annually solely because their foreign parents arrived in the United States on a temporary visa, often a tourist visa, before they were born. Decades later, those American-born children can sponsor their parents for green cards. The birth tourism industry is widespread among Turkish nationals in New York City, Chinese nationals in California, Russian nationals in Florida, and Middle Easterners in Illinois. The Postal Service proposed a new rule pushing states to turn over their mail-in and absentee voter rolls to the agency, a move in line with President Donald Trump’s March executive order tightening regulations on mail-in voting in federal elections. Since the start of his second administration, Trump has made election integrity and security a central issue, signing multiple executive orders to require proof of citizenship and crack down on mail-in voting fraud, essentially establishing a national voter verification system. His efforts have run into several legal hurdles, with judges ruling against requirements for proof of citizenship, and several Democratic states sue over the mail-in voting order.
